I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service at Norwood Drugs. The owner said I was«a terrible person» and harassing his employees and hung up on me twice. I rented medical equipment from Norwood drug for over a year. The cost was $ 60 a month. During the time I had the equipment, there was some fraud with my credit card. The bank sent me a new card. Norwood drug called me to get the new number. This must have happened again or there was an issue after they took my new card number, but there was no call back. Usually with these types of issues, I get a letter, phone call or email. I am very busy. I have three kids with one under 1. I also work. I don’t have time to check my monthly cc statements like I once was able to. I took back the equipment, and they hadn’t charged me for 6 and a half months. How could this have happened? They admitted to not sending me a letter or calling. They said it was my responsibility to let them know. I replied that all other companies send me a letter or call if there was an issue with the card number, expiration or a decline. This is when I got upset, and told the owner that I couldn’t believe this kind of customer service(or lack thereof.) He hung up on me after telling me I had to pay the bill. $ 450 was due all at one time. $ 300 was a deposit. So, $ 150 remained. I didn’t have a problem paying the bill. It’s the principle of the matter. I asked if I could pay $ 60, $ 60 and $ 30 to make up the $ 150 since $ 60 a month was the monthly rental fee. They said no. I asked for the owner again — I reminded the owner again that I didn’t appreciate him hanging up on me, and I couldn’t believe this kind of customer service. He hung up on me again after he told me I was a «terrible person» again, had to pay my bill, and told me I was harassing him and his employees. I honestly didn’t think he was willing to listen long enough to understand what I was even requesting. I will send them $ 60, $ 60 and $ 30 in the next 3 months via money order because I can’t trust them with my cc number. I will never be using them again for any services. I’m sorry I even did use them for this rental, but it was the closest to the hospital and seemed convenient at the time. I thought small business owners give you better service — I was so wrong. Oh, and I just received an email a moment ago and a phone call from the Illinois tollway notifying me of an expired credit card on file. It could not auto replenish. How nice of them to notify me of expired credit card. So, I’ll go now and contact them.
