I like this place and I think it is a great value for the money! I would not have alterations done here though as they are extremely expensive. Otherwise, I think they are great. Highly recommend and best price and service in the area. Thankfully I have not had the issues as others on here but I have had them with some other cleaners over the years and I think sometimes people mess up with the chemicals and the facility that they take the clothes. Not sure bc I don’t know enough about dry cleaning. That would be my guess.

I’ve always had good luck here. I’ve only gotten dry cleaning so far (haven’t had any tailoring done), but everything has been great. Clothes are ready when they say they are, and they’re nice and clean and pressed.

I have been going here for one year now and I knew something was up. I dropped off a pair of $ 300 shorts from NYC and when we came back to pick it up there were blue stains all over the shorts! I called the store and a Mexican woman picked up and said she was the owner. Then I heard another lady talking in the background and she came on the phone «Hi this is Sue the owner» But the other lady told me she was the owner! So first off, she had her employee lie to me. Then when I went in to talk to her in person she didn’t speak any English (she’s Korean) and she pretends she doesn’t know what you’re saying. She just kept pointing to the sign that says «no guarantee»
She told me that the clothes that I brought in were poor manufacturing and that was just bull.
I was very upset and as soon as customers started to walk in, she completely ignored me as i was speaking to her. Both of the employees were standing there like I didn’t exist! Everyone in the dry cleaners was staring because of how ridiculous they were being.
I am taking them to small claims court to pay for the damages and my lawyer fees.
Please don’t ever go here. It’s not even that they didn’t pay for my shorts it’s that they aren’t even kind people. I could understand if they were apologetic, but they were just plain mean.

This place has awful service (probably because the girl didn’t even speak english and was drunk half the time YESS DRUNK during work hours) i think she was Mongolian, cheap prices but BAD quality. The owner is also rude and doesn’t speak english either.

Do NOT bring your clothes here for alterations. They will price gouge you… I brought my dress in for a simple hem (basic a-​line silk dress with 1 layer of lining) — the girls were completely clueless and had no idea how much it would cost. My guess was around $ 12 – 15 like other cleaners I had been to in the past. When I went to pick up my dress today, I was charged $ 24 for the hem, and another $ 8 to sew a loose seem by the arm hole. I was shocked. The owner maintains that $ 24 is a CHEAP price. I called 2 other cleaners in the neighborhood, and they both quoted me at no more than $ 15 for the hem. I find it unfair that a customer is not quoted a price when dropping off an item (i.e the people you hire have no idea what they are doing, have no clue about alterations or pricing and pricing is not listed anywhere) and when I pick up my dress I have no choice but to pay whatever crazy price they decide to charge me.
I used to go here because of the convenient location to my home, but I would rather drive a couple blocks more than deal with it. I tried talking to the owner about it and she maintains it is a cheap price. I’ve done my market research now I suggest they do theirs.

We’ve been going to this cleaner for the last 3 years. Until yesterday I had nothing bad to say. It’s cheap and our stuff has always been on time. My husband picked up our dry cleaning and brought it home, and then I noticed my dress, one of my absolute favorites, was now discolored. Where there was cream (the whole top) was now a muted pink. Distraught my $ 150 dress was now ruined, I took it to the cleaner to see what could be done. I never asked for them to pay for it, I simply went in looking for a conversation about what to do next. The owner yelled at me. She literally got in my face saying that the dress was like that when I brought it in, she «remembered it». I said it was originally cream, and she accused me multiple times of not knowing what my own clothes look like and how nothing they could have done to it would make it discolored. Ok well then now did it happen??? All I was looking for was a bit of customer service. An apology, maybe a small credit to make amends. Even if she didnt think it was their fault, isn’t it worth something to keep a customer??? She was interrupting me, yelling at me until I had to storm out.
DON’T GO HERE.

Inexpensive price and same-​day dry cleaning is available for early birds. Most of the time, clothes are ready on time, but there are a few times I had to come back a day after when they seem rly busy. Overall, good service for the cheap price.

I recently went here with my girlfriend for the second time. The first experience was fine — typical of any dry cleaner visit. On our second visit, my girlfriend came in to pick up our clothes, and noticed that they had dry cleaned her jacket that we had only brought in to be repaired. We were very specific about this when we dropped it off, and they clearly made a mistake — but they refused to refund the $ 9 charge. If that is not bad enough, the clerk literally yelled at her in the store, berating her for not being able to read the illegible receipt. When she asked to speak to the owner, the clerk called the owner on the phone, handed the phone to my girlfriend, and the owner yelled at my girlfriend on the phone. I’m sorry, but we’re not in New York, and we’re not in a Seinfeld episode about soup — publicly screaming at customers is not acceptable. From other reviews on here and Google, it sounds like others are having similar experiences when their clothing is late or ruined. I also noticed they changed names from City Cleaners — probably trying to hide from bad reviews. Please don’t support these maniacs, and go to one of the several other nearby establishments that care about retaining customers.

It’s hard to understand how a brand new shirt that has been worn once can develop ring around the collar. Don’t worry, the people at Northwood Cleaners can’t explain it to you either. I took this shirt, an others, to this cleaners to be laundered, and they all were returned to me with ring around the collar. In 9 years of wearing dress shirts to work daily and having them laundered by another dry cleaner, I have never had a shirt develop ring around the collar. Did the chemistry of my perspiration change at the very same time I changed dry cleaners? Methinks not. Their suggestion: let us dry clean the shirts at your expense. No thanks.

I think this place is great. It is cheap and they usually can have your clothes dry cleaned the same day if you drop them off early. On a few occasions my shirts have been poorly ironed, which is disappointing. Overall the service and quality of this place deserve 4 stars in my book.

First of all, If you just want CHEAP, this is the right place. They are less expensive than most other places within a few blocks. However, don’t expect the best service. I had a Christian Bale — American Psycho pseudo experience here last weekend when I came to pick up my dress shirts, one of which I was wearing that day to a wedding.
«Hi I’m here to pick up the dress shirts you said would be ready by 9AM today»
«Oh, not here»
«What do you mean, not here?»
«NOT HERE!!! Sorry!»
They also have a disclaimer that, «The company’s liability. shall not exceed 10 times our charge for processing it». That means if they lose something or damage it they are only liable for up to 10 times what you paid to have it laundered.

I needed a shirt laundered by New Year’s Eve. I dropped off Monday, came in when told on Wednesday. NOT HERE!!! COME BACK THURSDAY! …come back Thursday and they say COME BACK SATURDAY… This place is terrible!!! 0 STARS
