Mrs Sunshine’s Cleaning Service

I purchased a Dealfind voucher for 3 hours of housecleaning for $ 29 ($ 180 value). The expiration was 4÷20÷14. I went to schedule an appointment and received an email response stating the voucher was only good towards a credit for their summer special of $ 90 for 1.5 hour cleaning. So, apparently I was being charged FULL price. 1.5 hours for $ 90 = 3 hours for $ 180. Seriously? Rosalind advised me to contact Dealfind for a refund. I have contacted Dealfind and the matter is under investigation, however after reading all the negative reviews, I am pretty certain I have been scammed as well. So very disappointing. Apparently this is a pathetic excuse of management and the sales representation at Dealfind should also be held accountable for their lack of research before putting their name behind such a poorly run company.

Ok, so I wrote a negative review because they never came for an appointment. After writing the negative Unilocal review, guess who started sending me TEXT messages… yep Mrs. C-R-A-Z-Y…first she wanted me to pay in advance to get the DEALFIND that DEALFIND refunded me, when i said I wasn’t comfortable giving anyone my credit card information that I do not know… she said. YOU NEED TO CONFIRM WITH A PAYMENT… it felt like a Nigerian Craigslist Scam… I said I will pay when you show up… this is what she TEXT me exactly: YOU NEEDED DO ME ANY FAVORS I HAVE CLINETS THAT PAY FULL PRICE ! 180.00 NOT 29.00 YOU GOT YOUR MONEY BACK BE BLESSED! YOU AND Unilocal!

AWFUL… negative stars should be used. They never showed up when they said. Had excuses why they couldn’t come. Please, save yourself a phone call and money. They are not worth contacting. I bought vouches and wish I never did. I am requesting refunds.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on Unilocal.Been busy remodeling my home along with work and other things. I too purchased a deal for Mrs Sunshine cleaning service because of my busy schedule.
I didn’t have the same experience as some of the other Unilocalers. When I called to use my voucher, I received a call back the next day. I thanked her for making a prompt call back and talked with her about what I needed. As I mentioned, I’m in the process of remodeling my home, particularly the basement. The people working on your home don’t leave your home picture perfect. There was dust every where, things needed to be moved and wiped down. (you get the drift, it was a mess!) More than I wanted to handle alone. She stated that she would bring along a guy to help with what I needed.
She was running a little behind but she did call to let me know that. She mentioned that she was coming from the other side of town and she would be late. I very much appreciated that. When she did come, they got right to work. I needed them to clean my laundry room and move items out of the way. I said if they finished in enough time, they could clean the bathroom. Not only did they finish with time to clean the bathroom, they cleaned fantastically! Everything was wiped down, swept up and mopped.
I really appreciated the job they did and I would definitely use the service again.

My biggest issues with this company was: 1) The owner took a long time to get back to me to confirm a time and while negotiating a day/​time that worked for both of us she took a very long time to get back to me and 2) The deal I bought was 3 hours and I was only given 1 ½ hours. When I inquired why, she said it was 3 hours for one person or 1 ½ hours for 2, which I had. That’s fine, but I was not given a choice and would have preferred the first option.
However, unlike all of the other reviews, both people were polite and professional. They asked me exactly what I wanted, and they delivered. My home is shiny clean and I am happy about that. I don’t have any complaints about the service itself, and if I could get the same pricing and better communication, I WOULD use them again.

Horrible. I bought 5 deal find vouchers… tried them once and am asking for a refund of all of them. Took weeks to schedule the first cleaning. In three hours, they did almost NOTHING. I was here working on the computer, so I was aware of all that they were doing. Three hours… vacuumed the kitchen and entry floor, wiped the counters (which were already clean and I told them not to do) and pushed a mop around the kitchen floor. The two women that arrived weighed between 250 and 300 pounds each which means they could barely move around, bend down to clean anything, etc. They were absolutely clueless. Sorry… I’m ranting a little, but I have never had such bad service at anything in my whole life. I agree with Pavitrha… I wish I could give lower than one star!

Same experience as the others. I purchased their service through Dealfind and they have yet to respond to my attempts to schedule the cleaning I prepaid for. They had no problem taking my money, they just don’t want to provide the service I paid for. They have yet to respond to my emails and phone calls. Furthermore Dealfind is refusing to refund my money. Scam all the way around. Guess what they say is true, when it looks too good to be true it probably is. Save yourself money and headaches and do not use this service!

Don’t even bother. The woman takes weeks to return calls and when you try to get a refund with the deal site, she lies to them and says you haven’t called them. My phone bill shows I made the call & my money was refunded.
I obviously didn’t want these people entering my home after lying to the deal site and on my voice mail (who calls a client and tells them you didn’t call them?).
The other Unilocal reviews clearly enforce my own.

I am ashamed to say that I am one of those people who love to use Unilocal to read reviews but have never reviewed any place myself. Even worse that I feel compelled to write my first review about this horrible business. I had the exact same experience as all the other reviewers. For Our first appointment they arrived really late, were extremely rude when we called to inquire as to where they were, wore huge clunky boots in the house, and did a miserable cleaning job. It took forever to schedule the next cleaning and they never showed at the scheduled time even though we called to confirm numerous times. The rude woman calls us a half
Hour after they were supposed to be here to say they were canceling because of the weather… On a sunny, bright day! How the hell do I get my money back cause there is no way I am even trying to schedule another cleaning with this terrible service!

I would love to take away even the one star that I have to give them. We bought a few cleanings with the deal find offer. They did not show up for the first scheduled cleaning. When we called, they rescheduled and promised us an extra hour. They seem to have the same pattern as noted in other reviews: worse shoes in the house, did not have cleaning supplies, took a really long time to do next to nothing. The male cleaner looked like he was going to pass out (he was so tired) and sat on the floor cleaning the floor boards for a long time. They asked with each room whether I wanted them to clean the floor — vacuum/​mop. Even when I gave them clear and simple instructions, they did not follow through. I had to clean again after they left. Unfortunately we bought three cleanings and have to use them again — but they were a no call, no show for the next appointment. When my husband called to inquire, they stated that the person who had made the appointment did not work for them any more and they did not have the time slot available any more (we had booked in advance for one cleaning a month).
I am amazed that people running a business would not care enough about creating a good impression/​doing good work, so that people will want to call them back for more. This cleaning service was terrible. I rarely bad mouth people trying to make a living, but these people did not look like they were trying at all — I feel no remorse in recommending that people do NOT use this service if they can help it.

After having a newborn and also a rambunctious toddler, I was thrilled to see a good deal for 3 hours of a cleaning service. I quickly scheduled and booked a cleaning appointment for 3 hours of service two weeks in advance. The day of the appointment, they were late and I called them. They informed me that their car had some troubles and to make up for it, they would give me an extra hour of service.
They arrived slightly late to the rescheduled appointment and I was surprised that they didn’t have a broom, mop or vacuum and had to use mine. I also was put off the fact that they wore their sneakers into my home and I reminded them that I was going to be given an extra hour of cleaning and showed them what needed to be done. After 1.5 hours, they told me that there was nothing left to clean and they were done. I tried to point out that because they wore their sneakers into my home, I could see footprints on my hardwood floors. I also pointed out that they didn’t do nearly half the things that I had asked of them on my list. They insisted that would be an extra cost. I reminded them that I paid for THREE hours and was supposed to get a complimentary hour for them cancelling on me. They said that they did what they could and anything more would be extra.
After they left, I was so disappointed that I had to do more cleaning up after them and that’s when I realized that they broke my vacuum cleaner! When I called to complain, they told me that my vacuum cleaner was already broken. I have been going back and forth trying to get my money refunded since I prepaid for THREE hours and not just 1.5 hours.

They didn’t show up for the appointment. They didn’t call to say they wouldn’t be coming. And they didn’t answer when I called them about it.
Weeks ago, I scheduled (and prepaid) a cleaning appointment before my big holiday party. They called to confirm. The day before the appointment I e-​mailed to re-​confirm – no answer, no return call. The day of our appointment, they just didn’t show up. No phonecall or explanation. They just didn’t show up. I called their main number – no answer. I e-​mailed – no answer. I facebook messaged their owner – no answer.
Hours after our scheduled appointment I got ahold of a staff member who said I was «On the list,» but they were short-​staffed and would be late. It was then 3 hours before my party, my house was a mess, and still I waited for them. The fifth time I called their main number, the owner finally answered. She said I they just never got around to me, and no one was available to help me before the party. Then she hung up on me.
So they saw me on the schedule, they knew they wouldn’t be able to make the appointment, and they couldn’t be bothered to let me know.
I had 1 hour to clean my entire apartment before 20 guests arrived. It was a nightmare, and Mrs. Sunshine’s Cleaning Service is to blame. I relied on them and they failed. They were profoundly unprofessional. I prepaid for my appointment and now I’m in a fight to get my money back. Avoid this company.
