I highly recommend Emilia for consigning. Here are a few reasons why I think she’s beyond exceptional:
–She is her word and can be trusted 100%
–She is professional, and you can feel how her experience helps her be decisive
–She is extremely easy to work with
–She is a great communicator
–She makes it easy for the consigner
–She is very clear and timely on paying out the consignment
–She gets good results, meaning that I’m getting a payout because she’s moving things, selling things, getting results
–She represents a breadth of merchandise levels (much like we all need in our closet)
–She’s a joy to work with (I always feel great within every interaction)
–I wished I would have used for a closet cleaning, she would be extremely helpful to people who are thinking about it
When I compare my experience from other cosigner’s, she stands out in a huge way in every aspect. I wish I had known her my whole life!

How do I love this store? Let me count the ways… Maybe it was that time Emilia helped me find a gift for my boyfriend’s 17 year old and she LOVED it.
Or maybe it was the time she helped me see that… yes, those black shorts looked awesome on me… even though I would’ve normally died before wearing them. They are now a go-​to for me.
Or was it one of her killer sales where I pretty much nailed my perfect Fall lineup all in one go?
And having her daughter Lillienne tell me stories about bears and strawberries while I shop is just icing on the cake.

I can’t say enough good things about this cute little shop in Andersonville! I wandered in here for the first time one evening while strolling the neighborhood with my boyfriend after a late lunch. The owner immediately greeted us with a huge smile and was super friendly. Although we weren’t looking for anything in particular, she was able to tell us so much about the items she carried, many of which were designed by local artisans in the city. I also found a bunch of adorable clothes to try on, and she was honest and helpful with finding what worked best. It was almost like having a personal stylist!
The clothes here are designer resale, at very reasonable prices, and I ended up with quite a few pieces, as well as a handmade scarf and a beautiful crystal ring by a local designer. The location is a little farther north than most of the primary Clark Street shopping district in Andersonville (a couple blocks north of Bryn Mawr, and just south of Gethsemane Garden Center). so if you’re not used to wandering up that far, it’s definitely worth the trip! I will definitely be back, as I love finding unique pieces and chatting with awesome small business owners.

I love this store. I just checked it out this past Friday April 18 with my husband. There were so many unique and nice items to look at, my husband even enjoyed the Mens Section. What I loved most about this store was if you walked in and said you were looking for something certain, the Owner Emilia new exactly what she had and would look for that perfect match for you. A lot of great Accessories, I couldn’t decide on just one. Next time I go back Im bringing my Teenager.

Cool stuff. Yummy treats. Awesome lady. Highly recommended! It was our first time in and we had a really great time. Everything is super cute and not one of us walked out without getting something cute!

Best place for retail therapy !
Everything is reasonably priced yet cool and unique. I can’t count how many times I have purchased an item here and have gotten compliments every time I wear it. One of the very best things in Andersonville. Actually, one of the best stores in Chicago ! Great gifting buying place as well. But I usually just buy myself gifts :) Emilia, the owner, makes the experience more worthwhile. You will want her to be your best friend as soon as you meet her. I’m so lucky to have found this store. U can be just as lucky too !

After living in the neighborhood for almost 3 years, I still can’t believe I only just discovered this wonderful Amazing store a few months ago! The shop itself is Beautiful and carries everything from original art, jewelry, clothing, shoes, perfume candles… the list goes on! But the section I personally love the most is the luxury goods section! Emilia (the fabulous funny stylish owner) ALWAYS has some of the most AMAZING luxury pieces you’ll find in Chicago — I’m talking vintage Chanel, Prada, Fendi and Versace handbags. Designer sunglasses and jewelry. But trust me, if you see something you love GRAB IT… Because if you don’t some other lucky person will snatch it up! Emilia is such a gracious owner. She cares so much about her customers and the items she carries that she even offers a lay-​away plan, because she really wants her customers to Have the pieces they fall in love with.
Since discovering Mr. and Mrs Digz, I’ve purchased several items from the store and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been telling everyone about this place — can’t say enough about it. Mr. and Mrs Digz is also in a excellent area on Clark St, right across from the restaurant M. Henry (a Chicago favorite) and my favorite place for brunch.
So the next time you’re in the city or in the neighborhood, have some brunch and pop on over to Mr. and Mrs Digz, like I did. TRUST ME, you will not be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I came upon this cute little boutique when we were on vacation in Chicago and we are glad we did! The owners were super friendly and helpful. The selection was diverse, eclectic and fun; new and vintage stuff.

Bargain prices on the kinds of things I love. Easy to browse — chock full (without clutter!) of interesting items that are gently used or locally made. I walked out with a vegan dress purse & earrings for a wedding that night, a designer sweater for winter, a gift for a friend, and more. The owner even gave us a great restaurant recommendation.

So I have the same conundrum every girl has. Spring cleaning, empty closet. I was having lunch with my mom when we noticed this bright colorful boutique! It was great to find a boutique for women of all age ranges. A store me and my mom can find clothes at ;I never thought I would say that :) The owner and staff are very attentive and caring, their guests are their main priority. I asked the owner to style me and outfit that was cute, chic, and fun. Emily had so many options that were sleek and affordable! Also check the accessories, you’ll thank me later ;) they’re creative and unique!!! Will be coming back for clothes or paintings!

I seriously can’t believe this place has all the 5-​star reviews that it does, but then again, it IS Andersonville… I imagine that it doesn’t take much to impress their target demographic, The Stroller Brigade.
I mean, Bebe and BCBG cocktail dresses for 100+? LOL. Those brands will run you about $ 30 at a place like Buffalo Exchange! Hell, I see them at thrift stores all.the.time.
«YA Los Angeles» dress for $ 50? That’s like, some cheap juniors brand found at low-​end clothing chains. Ick.
But my favorite… Almost $ 200 for a fringed, cotton AllSaints dress from 2011!!! Look, I’m an AllSaints ho; don’t try to pull a fast one on me, sister. I’m assuming this grotesquely inflated price (the dress was originally $ 160) was due to the tags still being attached, but COME ON. Fringe isn’t even in anymore (I’m not counting basic bitch festival fashion, because well, ew). PLUS there’s like, an AllSaints outlet 20 minutes outside of the city, where you can find much more current things marked down 50%-70%.
Yeah, no. Long story short, you’ve got to have some serious audacity to expect people to pay premium prices for what is essentially off-​season, used merchandise. They must not expect «outsiders» like me to come in and call their bluff. For fuck’s sake, I’ve gotten Helmut Lang and Marc Jacobs dresses for less than they want for these «high end» brands you can find at the mall.
Can’t speak to their vintage selection, as I can only imagine how jacked up those pieces were.
This experience just left me pining for my favorite resale/​consignment store in Minneapolis. :(

It’s like I landed in another universe than the other people who went to this store, according to reviews, but maybe that’s because they were buyers and not bringing things in for consignment. I found the owner Emilia to be rather frosty, especially when she went through and dangled my items from her finger tips like they were dripping in oil. I guess people get friendlier if they see money entering the picture. Times are tough, I get that. I wouldn’t be entering a consignment shop either, if I didn’t want to have a little extra cash, since they remind me too much of pawn shops. I was even finger printed at my first and only experience at one once, when trying to sell my old camera… I called ahead of time and described the items before I brought them to Mr. And Mrs. Digz, including mentioning brand names… I also asked if an appointment was needed, but was told none was necessary, and there was no one else in the store at any time. So why act so frosty?
I do carry goods in a plastic bag when transporting them to and from places to avoid looking like I am carrying anything worthwhile. I guess that bothered her, and then she didn’t like I didn’t hand the clothes to her all at once? I had a vintage 1980’s silk outfit by a Parisian designer with me, that I decided to bring along, which was in the $ 800 price range back in the day and had some minor wear. I asked if her vintage garments had to be perfect and she said yes, so, I’m glad I didn’t hand that to her… I was trying to be thoughtful and also avoid any disdainful airs…
A person should never just hand all their things over to anyone unless they have a list with them. I had a pair of pants I brought in with some other things to two Wicker Park consignment shops a few years ago, that I paid $ 100 for that still had the store price on, and you could see the original price was $ 800. I didn’t notice until months later that the pants were missing, since I just set the clothes aside in my closet, and one of the places had said no one would want them… It just didn’t occur to me, and I don’t know which place they disappeared at. It’s just a reflex, you have to be careful of your things…
NONE of my items were dirty, perfumed, or smelled of CIGARETTES, were pilled, or battered. I did bring in ONE resale item by mistake, that had a tag on it. I take a lot of care that my items are clean and in good condition, and don’t appreciate being treated with an ATTITUDE… It’s not easy bringing things in to a consignment shop, especially when you called ahead and tried to be polite and are met with an attitude. I’ll probably never enter one again for years. Oh, and I suggest that more smaller shops neighborhood like this should cut back on the potpourri for people with asthma or environmental sensitivities…

Loved it. Good brands at good prices and everything is high quality. Also had some good finds on some designers I didn’t know. It’s an interesting store. Worth checking out.

i love this place! emilia is wonderful. guessing from all the other raving reviews about her… does she ever have a bad day??? she’s a gem. the treasures in this store are a reflection of her. her sense of style and personal shopping help is invaluable. i want to buy everything when i walk in this shopping oasis.

I consider myself a somewhat boring shopper, as I’m constantly drawn to the same styles, colors and stores. However, upon strolling into Mr. and Mrs. Digz one fateful day… All of that has changed.
Emilia, the owner, is nothing short of an image thought leader for anyone looking to get out of a fashion rut. Since my first visit to her store, I’ve been hooked. Not only has Emilia (and her store) transformed my entire style and wardrobe, I’ve also gotten to know what a lovely and generous person she is.
I’ve always wished I had a go-​to– favorite «boutique» in Chicago and I’m so happy that Mr. Mrs. Digz finally filled that need.
Run, don’t walk! Go get yourself an incredibly cool vintage ring! or a designer bag! or a consigned Banana Republic sweater! (just to name 3 things that I’ve purchased this month!)
Seriously. Best. Store. EVER.

**GREAT BOUTIQUE SHOP**
I was in the area visiting my sister that lives near Andersonville with our other sister and mom and this shop was our first stop. We were immediately drawn in by the rack of clothing out front and went inside to find so many surprises. There’s gorgeous jewelry, accessories and clothing all around! We each walked out with more than 2 articles of clothing and jewelry.
The owner Emilia is AMAZING! I am from Boston and flew all the way home without realizing that I left my Tory Burch sunglasses at the store. I called the shop to see if they were there and sure enough Emilia had kept them safe for me. She even mailed them to me free of charge.
I will definitely be back in when I visit my sister next time!

I really want to like this place. It’s a very cute shop, the owner is very sweet, and every once in a while I find something cute, in my size, and not to pricey. But that doesn’t happen very often as I have a few of the same complaints that seem to be popping up on here.
1) They need more size M/​L and XL stuff (some of this ‘vintage’ stuff runs really small!)
2) The prices are too high for what it is
ex. today I spotted a dress in there from Target (really? Target?) It was from Summer 2012, and it was priced at around $ 24. I can tell you that I bought this very same dress from Target a mere 7 or 8 months ago and I paid $ 12.99 for it brand new! What happened in those few months to make this cheaply made dress almost double in price?

3) While this is a new complaint, it was bothersome nonetheless. Today when I went in there the whole shop smelled like dirty diapers. Gross! I understand that the owner has kids, but that just put a sour note on my experience today. Get some air fresheners, throw the diapers in the outside trash… something!
I will probably go here again, as I do like to support local businesses, and like I said, every once in a while you find the perfect trifecta. There were actually a bunch of really cute flower earrings in there today and I just lost 1 out of the set of my favorite pair not that long ago.

The owner of this shop, Emilia, is awesome! I stopped by the shop on a Saturday afternoon after brunch at m.henry.
The concept of the store is pretty neat. They are some new and handmade items as well as gently used designer goods and vintage items. You can get some designer duds for a fraction of the cost! The clothes were nice, but a bit too high for my budget so I focused on the accessories.
I was shopping for a gray scarf and asked Emilia for her help. She was able to help me pick out a gray scarf that I love and have received many compliments on. I’m more of a plain Jane, but the textures and design of the scarf really work for me. Her pick was perfect and I make sure to let people know where I got it. Also, the scarf isn’t too thick and I’ve worn it on cold winter days and it was warm enough for me.
Also, she was super friendly and made sure to tell me about the sales going on. She offered to help if I needed it. She even threw in a Luna bar along with my purchase.
However, the best thing was that she was able to make an earring for me out of one that I have. I had lost the other pair and was pretty bummed out about it and haven’t been able to find anything similar. She didn’t have anything like it either. So, she offered to make one for me. I came back the next day, but she was out of the store so I left my name, number and phone number with an employee.
She called a few days later so I went the following weekend was beyond pleased with the results. She didn’t charge me either, which was nice. I’m very happy to have my favorite pair of earrings back!
Overall, awesome shop and worth checking out!

I hate to say I’m not a big fan of this place, because the owner is a doll. She’s polite and friendly and great. I maybe should add the caveat that I’m not a good thrift shopper. Someone else’s clothes. .. errmm. So, with that…
Now, I’m no plus-​size, man-​handed girl, but a lot of the clothes just were not a fit — I’m not a size «0». There were a few cool pairs of pants and some vintage tunics, but. .. small! This is really not their fault, I realize they are not Loehmann’s. Some used designer gear, which I thought was overpriced for something that shows visible wear — $ 78 for a used Coach wristlet? I might have purchased it for $ 20.
The jewelry and accessories. Just. .. eh. Nothing special, nothing really unique. Perhaps I went on an off day, since I know the nature of stores like this is to get random stuff on disparate days. And I’m sure the handmade accessories are on consignment, so they are a bit more expensive — but I didn’t think they were worth the price.
Soooo, I dunno. I want to see an independent business thrive, so I’ll have to check back on this one if I’m up this way again.
