This place has been in Rogers Park for a long, long time. It has become busier over the past few years since they have begun to deliver. Prices have gone up a little over the years, but the quality of the food remains the same — good. Nice little neighborhood place to stop for fast food done well.

Talk about your slow service! You can walk in and stand there looking like a moron for minutes before anyone says hi or addresses you. They can only handle cooking ONE order at a time! How can a quick fast food hot dog place take 15 minutes to even get a hot dog served?

The service is great, people are friendly and I definitely like their gyros and the Mediterranean platter that they have, the Chicken Shish Kabob with the RICE. GREAT. :)

Simply the worst. The burger was burnt to shit(why ask me how I want it cooked if you’re going to burn it anyway?). The bacon was even more burnt and I ordered an extra portion. Plus it wasn’t bacon, I suspect it might have been soy(which, why bother?). The fries were meh. The cupcake was decent, but it was the only thing not made at the restaurant and they neglected to send the ice cream that was supposed to go with it. I won’t ever order from this place again; it was that bad.

I ordered here 3 days in a row. Twice great food. Tonight though the bag was soaking wet, the food soggy and after speaking with the restaurant numerous times they did nothing to compensate the inconvenience. 2 hours and 20 minutes later the food got here! A wrap mind you and all they did was come back to get the food? What kind of establishment does that! No fresh food sent or anything! Don’t order here.

This place touts itself as having the best gyros in Chicago. I’ve been to four or five other places and this one still hangs on to the top spot. They have just the right balance of meat, veggies and sauce so that you are getting a full sandwich without a huge mess. The fries are a little mushy for my taste, but otherwise this place is aces.

Gyros here are indeed as good as a gyros can get — nicely charred on the rotisserie, moist and flavorful, liberally packed onto perfect pita bread. I have to ration my visits here or I would enjoy these gyros every day.

I had a simple order of cheese fries and a piece of carrot cake. Not only did it take over an hour to get to get to my house(from .5 miles away) but the fries were freezing cold and soggy and the cheese was cold as well. Two weeks prior I ordered a hot dog and fries and had a very similar experience. Needless to say, it was two times too many.

I live really close so I don’t have an issue going here food is what I expect had the chicken wings and mild sauce with fries. Fired chicken is my weakness so I won’t give them a 5 star for it their burger was average

The food is good, especially the gyros and chardogs! I love that they other options besides just regular fries. The milkshakes are delicious!!! They even delivered in under an hour during the hawks game.

I always wonder when I venture into a new city what food I will discover. When it comes to travel you may as well transport my stomache. Parks? Recreation? The sights? Nah, I’m just here for the food usually. I love culture, good coffee and conversation but nothing goes quite as far into a culture as its cuisine. Looking at reviews this seemed to be the neighborhood spot. I was happy to grab a gyros sandwich, fries and a coke. I didn’t find anything stellar about my meal. The gyros was neither the tastiest, the tzatziki(how is that spelled exactly? Transliteration fails me) the tangiest or the fries the starch of the gods. Service was authentic. Guys working hard dishing out food to hungry patrons who are obviously locals grabbing a snack at the local spot. I’d eat here at least once a week if I lived here. The cultural melting pot of Chicago adequately displayed in a sandwich. What a country!

Went here with my roommate for gyros. I had lamb and she had the chicken, both with fries. We were told that they had the best gyros, but it’s hard to say that when one of the main ingredients within a gyro, the taziki sauce, was not good. The meat in the gyros was well seasoned, moist and really good(both the lamb and chicken. Fries were ehhhh… they could of stayed in the fryer a bit longer so that they were crispy. The price was not bad, but good taziki sauce is a must in a gyro. If they fixed the sauce, I would definitely give it a higher rating and go back.

A good value for a quick meal or snack. Pretty standard fare, you can tell the good isn’t always the freshest. Friendly staff.

Gyro’s, Gyro Sandwich are great. The«Greek Salad» is kind of a joke. Shredded iceberg lettuce from a bag? Really? Reminds me of the lettuce I get on my Subway Sub. Also, what Greek Salad comes without beets? This one. The Spinach Pie, avoid! Greasy, falls apart. They just drop it in a fryer, and when you go to eat it, all the pastry just falls right off, and the taste is as bland as can be. Terrible.

We ordered through grub hub for the first time at this place tonight. Normally, there wouldn’t be a second time since the tzatziki sauce for the gyro platter was forgotten entirely and the fries that came with my sandwich also did not make an appearance. However… I’m not sure if it was my chicken soup diet from being sick all week, or if my taste buds were catapulted straight into the cosmic heavens by the glorious Italian beef sandwich I received. Can’t say much for the gyro because there isn’t any more room in my body for food. Husband claims to have enjoyed it sans sauce. Damn you, Morse Gyros. You’re like all of the bad decisions I made in my early 20’s-knowing I might get screwed but did it again anyway. See you at our next weekend night fat fest… Oh yeah! Free delivery is the bees knees for the folks in your neighborhood!

The cheeseburger and gyro sandwiches are very good for the price. You can get a double cheeseburger with French fries for under $ 6 and a gyro sandwich with French fries for under $ 7. The reason I gave the three stars is because the workers need to do a better job washing their hands. I have seen the workers take a customers money and then go back to making the food without properly washing their hands(at least 15 seconds with soap). This has to be a health violation or at the very least very unsanitary conditions. I have seen the workers wash their hands more but this can be a turn off for most people. To sum up, Morse Gyros and Chicken is a «blue collar» type of place. Update:05/29/13 Someone from Morse Gyros & Chicken contacted me about the matter(handwashing) and he or she is going to look into the matter.

I got a very nice call of apology from the owner. I like that, so I am adding a star. I appreciate when business owners really care. We will give them another shot sometime soon.
