History

Established in 1998.

Morici, Figlioli & Associates was founded in 1998 by partners James J. Morici, Jr. and David Figlioli, two of Illinois’ most accomplished practitioners in the areas of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation Law. The firm includes partners Robert H. Butzow and Mitchell B. Friedman, and associate attorneys Charles Wallace, David J. Schwaner and Christopher Cortese. The firm is committed to the principle of aggressively pursuing full and complete compensation for the clients it represents.

Our attorneys specialize in cases involving personal injury: construction site injuries, products and premises liability, automobile negligence, railroad, aviation and other transportation related injuries, and workplace related injuries. James J. M.

Business Owner

James J. Morici, Jr. has exclusively represented seriously injured plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death litigation since 1987. His practice is substantially concentrated in cases brought under principles of construction site negligence, premises liability, and products liability. An accomplished trial lawyer, he has dozens of multi-​million dollar settlements and verdicts to his credit. He is recognized as one of Illinois’ «Super Lawyers».

He began his legal career in 1979, with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, as an Assistant State’s Attorney. He eventually attained the position of First Chair Prosecutor at the Criminal Courts Building located at 26th and California. Jim left the State’s Attorney’s Office in 1987 to exclusively practice in the field of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation.
