Morey Painting

We couldn’t be happier with Keith and his team! Morey Painting came by recommendation from a good friend of ours. We recently closed on a new condo and it was in some serious need of new paint before we moved in. Keith was able to get into our space quickly and did a fantastic job. He was very communicative, gave great advice (did we need to paint the ceilings? no!), and was priced very competitively. The end result was absolutely flawless — it totally changed the look and feel of our space. I will absolutely use Keith again, and recommend him and his team 100%!

I first used Keith to paint my condo 12 years ago… and now again for the same place. He’s provides a quality paint job at a reasonable price. He finished the job on time. And he uses Benjamin Moore paints. I definitely recommend him for your painting needs. I’ve referred him to a couple folks and they’ve been happy as well.

We found Keith through our real estate agent. We initially hired them to paint our kitchen and living room, however when he arrived we decided we wanted two hallways painted as well. This was not a problem and he proceeded accordingly. Keith and his team were professional, friendly and helpful from the very start. We have very tall ceilings and they did a great job with everything in our place! They worked extremely hard and finished the job on time.

I found Keith Morey through many mutual friends that raved about him. I needed my whole townhouse painted. The huge towering skylight in the stairwell did not make this task easy by any means. Keith and his crew were extremely friendly and professional. They were totally remarkable in getting the job done with skill and efficiency. Not a brush mark gone wrong. Keith was a referral from a friend, I had 4 quotes and Keith’s quote was not only the most reasonable, but him and his crew knocked out my 3 bedroom condo in 2 days. Why are we only limited to five stars?! Keith and his team are deserving of a 10 star rating! Simply put, they were exceptional. We learned of Morey Painting through a referral from a friend. We own a three-​bedroom/​two-​bathroom condo that was in need of painting — walls, ceiling, trim, doors. We called Keith for an estimate. He was prompt, personal and polite. He walked our condo with us and was helpful and honest. He addressed and identified both areas that did and did not need paint. His estimate was thorough and competitive. On the day of our painting project, Keith reviewed colors with us and offered up recommendations. The colors were perfect. Keith brought a four-​person team. Every member of his team was friendly, hardworking and skilled. They went to work quickly and were clean and considerate of our possessions. They removed light fixtures and closet systems, sanded and spackled the walls and then reinstalled everything once finished. What we most appreciated about Keith and the team at Morey Painting was the attention to detail. There are no brush marks on our walls or trim, nor paint marks on our floors. We used Keith to paint our condo we purchased. We didn’t have a lot of time to move out of our old place and into our new one, but Keith worked with us and our schedule to make it happen. He and his staff were extremely professional, on time, courteous, and did an AMAZING job. I highly recommend him to anyone who might be looking for a painter.

I have used Keith for painting over the past 8 years both at my condo and recently a luxury home in Lincoln Park. Keith is a great guy and goes out of his way to make sure everything is done correctly and keeps things neat and tidy. His crew are very friendly and respectful and would easily use him again for any of my painting needs. In addition to paint, he applied stain to my stairs and railings, they came out much nicer than I expected and at a much lower cost than other bids.

We hired Morey painting based on a recommendation from our Realtor, he gave us a good quote, was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us with color choices. He was also able to meet our short timeframe — we wanted everything painted before we moved in. We had two bedrooms and the living room/​kitchen/​hallway painted. Keith and his team were able to accomodate our timeframe and were extremely clean. His company did such a nice job that our association wants to use him to re-​paint all of the common areas and hallways in the building in the next month.

Keith and his wonderful asst Benjamin painted a bedroom for me last week and I was very pleased with their work. Keith was punctual, funny, friendly and moreover very professional. I will definitely refer him to any of my friends and neighbors. Just as a side note~ I purchased Green Planet paint from a environmentally friendly store in Chicago for Keith to use; and still a week later I am fainting from the smell. I can’t even sleep in my bedroom and I have had the windows cracked all week (b/​c it’s 30 degrees). I spent $ 50 a can just to avoid any toxins and that new paint smell. I guess going green isn’t all it’s cracked up to be b/​c the smell is worse than any room I have had painted in the past considering it has been 7 days; not to mention it took 3 coats to cover a light beige wall~ something my painter Keith said should have been covered in 2 coats with a low VOC paint from Benjamin Moore. Of course this is just my experience with the paint I purchased. Happy Painting!

I have used Morey Painting twice now and they have been nothing but professional, friendly and easy to work with. Keith, the owner, is very easy to talk to and will give you a very fair and honest assessment of what needs to be done. I met him to talk through what we needed painted, he gave a prompt quote and then that was all I had to do. He handled the rest and the first job came out so well that I used him again for a rental unit I own. His prices are very fair, even for work that is NOT easy — an example of this is they had to scrape paint off of my incredibly old ceilings, put on multiple coats of putty to patch the rough spots, and then prep it all for the painting. I met Keith when he did a job in the unit below my condo and they had nothing but great things to say. I would highly recommend him and will absolutely use him for any and all painting I ever need.

Keith has been my painter for 10 years. He has painted my place twice and I have been extremely happy with the results. I contacted him recently since I needed additional «touch up» paint for scuffs from wear and tear on my moldings. He supplied it to me immediately! Wish more business owners were professional and courteous like Keith and the rest of Morey Painting. They are a class act.

I found Morey Painting through a DADO coupon and was so thrilled with them! Keith got back to me promptly to schedule the consultation and had great advice on choices of colors. He and his assistant finished the job extremely quickly and it looks beautiful. Also, the price was great. I would use them again if I decide to paint another room in my house.

I cannot say enough how happy I am with the work Keith Morey and his crew did on my new apartment, and how highly I recommend them.
We purchased an apartment in pretty icky condition. The walls were painted awful, dark colors, and there were dents, marks, chips and everything all over the walls. I have painted my own walls before, but we had a feeling this was a job for a professional.
Never again will I do a paint job myself after realizing there is Keith Morey. He turned the walls I described above into absolutely stunning, perfectly painted walls. For a very fair price he did the following:
–consulted us on color choices (and provided very valuable insight on which colors looked best in which kinds of rooms)
— took care of all materials and everything
— was completely done with the entire apartment, top to bottom, in under a week!
He was courteous, punctual, a perfectionist. He was easy to communicate with, as well, which is a big plus over other contractors we’ve worked with. By far, he’s been the most pleasant to work with.
If you’re looking for a painter, don’t hesitate to hire Morey– you won’t regret it!

I have stopped using Morey Painting. Although they do a decent job with interior painting (putting pretty paint on brand new condo walls), I would NEVER recommend for them for any exterior work or any interior work in older homes with less than perfect walls. I often stare up at my patchy ceiling he was suppossed to have repaired and made perfect (as part of a $ 2200 paint job) after a radiator leak. Couldn‘t handle that, I guess. He once used my step ladder (not sure why he did not have his own), broke it and would not replace it and said it was my fault! Also, It seems that any technical knowledge of materials has eluded Keith, the owner. He painted exterior soffet, eaves and fascia on my 2 apartment buidlings and the entire job peeled in a few months! I got heat from the village building inspectors. Keith never made any effort to make it right for his botched $ 2000 paint job. He is lucky to have not been sued.

By referral, we hired Morey Painting initially to execute a full repaint in our condo. Their work was organized, thorough, complete, and professional. And we hired Keith Morey and his crew again two years later to paint our new home.
Each project’s design plan called for a medley of at least 5 complimenting colors with Mr. Morey’s business production included as an integrated participant.
His perceptive recommedations and practical communication turned out to be invaluable for the projects’ overall successes.

Keith Morey of Morey Painting was recommended to me by a friend. He did such a great job on my apartment (quickly and for a very reasonable price) that I have found myself recommending him whenever I can. He even had his crew «clean up» the edges of the dining room walls my husband and I originally attempted to paint. This was really thoughtful, and certainly the savvy added touch that will keep me posting glowing recommendations about him.
