Mongibello Salon and Spa

Is the salon still open? I had my hair and makeup done there for my wedding in Oct. I went back to the area, and it looked like the Italian restaurant took over the spot. However, their website is still up and running wtih this same address and phone number.

I tried to make an appointment for a manicure, pedicure and a leg wax for Wednesday October 29 but they had no availability
So I opted for Thursday October 30.
I got all the way there in the middle of rush hour and they had their doors locked and were closed!!!
Apparently they had no water and closed for the day, however they didn’t bother to call me to tell me they were closing for the day.
I called and left them a message asking why they could not call but it’s been days and never heard back.
Clearly they don’t value customer’s time or their needs.
They have very poor customer service for not even calling me back to apologize either.

Very unprofessional.
I have bought Groupons in the past for mani-​pedis. They have done a comparable job to the local Asian shops, but without a Groupon they are a lot more money for the same services. I recently went in for extensions, I told my story of how I lost my hair through chemo, and was looking to get a few extensions to give myself some needed length in the front of my hair. They were helpful with the information, I decided to order the extensions and Vanessa suggested I do a Kerratin treatment to relax some of the curl in my hair. They gave me the Groupon price of $ 99 and I put down a deposit on the extensions of $ 75 and another $ 15 fro a brush they suggested. They said they were out of the 16 inch extensions that were on backorder, so she would order the 18 inch extensions since we’d be cutting them anyway. She said it would take about two weeks and she would call me when they were in.
I got the Kerratin treatment, didn’t wash for 48 hours, continuously flat ironed if it got out of place and when I washed my hair that Monday, 48 hours later, it was the same result that I had before the Kerratin treatment. I called the salon on Tuesday and left a message because I wasn’t sure if this was the result I should have, I knew it wouldn’t straighten completely, but I didn’t expect any frizz which I had. No one returned my call. I called later in the week and again, no one returned my call.
Two weeks had passed and I never got a call about the extensions, so I called on a Monday and left a message. Again, no one returned my call. I called the following Wednesday, and Vanessa answered and she said she didn’t know what happened, that she would talk to the owner and get back to me. (The owner is her mother, Lisa) She never returned my call. I then wanted a refund, I was over it and now didn’t trust her to put then extensions in my hair and didn’t want to give her the $ 225 she quoted me to do my hair, especially since the Kerratin didn’t take well. I called again and I left a message with the receptionist to have the owner Lisa call me. I never received a call. This was so frustrating that I was starting to think that they took my money and didn’t order any extensions. I felt like they were avoiding me.
Finally after a month after my original visit, I went into the salon. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to the owner. I explained that I was in for a refund on extensions and suddenly Vanessa popped out of the esthetician’s room as if she just woke up. She told me she spoke with the owner and that she would give me a refund because the extensions were on backorder. I found this very strange because the day she ordered them, she said the 16inch were backordered so she would order the 18 inch and they would be there in two weeks. She didn’t even put the refund back on my credit card, she gave me cash back from the register and then offered to re-​do my Kerratin that I declined. I started to wonder if there was a Lisa and if she was the owner.
I really hate writing bad reviews, but this was such a weird experience.
I will never go back again.

I had a keratin treatment done by Daniella and must say she did a great job. I had a similar treatment at another salon and am much more pleased with the results this time. I also had Daniella cut my hair and am very please with the results. Will definitely go back!!!

The only reason I gave it a one star was because the girls were friendly. However extremely inexperienced, well the one that did my hair at least. I especially told her I do not want thin streaky blonde highlights, I gave her the exact colors that I wanted, showed her pics, and asked for bayalage. But guess what I ended up with? Thin streaky blonde uneven highlights ! I also went in there to get the keratin treatment which made my hair look worse ! It looks so unhealthy, dry, and damaged. The girl that did my hair was extremely inexperienced, she kept asking her co worker what she needs to do, and when I asked how long do we have to keep the foils on, her response was till they get light?! I’ve been to a lot of salons but this was the worst. She did not even offer to cut my hair that looked dried fried and unhealthy after the treatment .
Extremely Over priced for the type of service and experience. I never write reviews but I had too since I’m beyond disappointment and unsatisfied with my hair.

These girls have no clue what they are doing. Not sure if the owner is aware of the stupidity that goes on at this salon but someone should let her know. No type of professionalism what so ever! No clue how their system works. Get a clue!

Vanessa did a wonderful job on my manicure and pedicure. I walked out of there very relaxed and with beautiful nails. I also made an appointment for a facial while there. Would definitely recommend Mongolia Salon & Spa.

Found this location due to a Groupon for a keratin treatment. Danielle, was wonderful made my second appointment for my hair color with highlights soon. can’t wait for her to fix my hair color oops from another salon!

Usually go to another place to get my eyebrows done. That place was busy. Went for a tan and saw this place right next door.
I walked in to get my brows done and boy was that a big mistake.
I walked out with one brow way thinner than the other.
Lady told me it would grow back.
‘Nuff said.

I bought a groupon for a Keratin Treatment, called the salon and was able to get an appointment that evening!
I had my treatment done by Daniela, who was absolutely meticulous. The treatment took about an hour and a half, yet she worked hard the entire time to make sure each section of hair was properly treated. I was amazing by her attention to detail and patience. In addition, her fun personality made the time fly by!
I am beyond happy with my treatment, I noticed a huge difference in my hair right after my first wash. It’s healthier and shinier than ever, and even on the most humid days I don’t have to worry about frizz! I really didn’t think that would be possible for me.
The owner, Lisa, is so very sweet and accommodating. She even called me to follow up and ask how the treatment went. There aren’t many business owners that care about their clients quite like she does.
I’m glad to say I found my new go-​to salon. Cannot wait to return!

I’ve come here twice! The original visit was thanks to a $ 99 Groupon for keratin treatment. I ended up getting a cut color and eyebrows as well since I was well overdue. My stylist was Georgina and she was so helpful and knowledgeable about a good style for my hair type and the best methods to preserving color and keratin in my hair.
I came back a few weeks later and I made my second appointment with Georgina again for eyebrows and color toner for my hair, the color came out gorgeous! And I have not been this satisfied with my eyebrows in YEARS! She really took the time to shape and thread my eyebrows. I will definitely be going back to see her, and had concerns that I would not make my appointment before she takes her leave of absence. She assured me that I would be due before she goes. The staff is funny and friendly and down to earth. Worth the time and money.

This place is amazing! I got me hair colored highlighted and trimmed by Georgina, and I will never go to anyone else to touch my hair. She does an amazing job, I suggest you go see her, she knows what she is doing and she is a true artist when it comes to hair. The owner is amazing and friendly, love this whole environment. Go make your appointment now!!!

I have been to Montebello Salon 3 times for the global keratin treatment and have been more than satisfied with each visit. Vanessa also colored my hair and then put in the keratin and my hair looked so healthy and shiny. They have been nice enough to honor the $ 99 for the keratin each time and I plan to continue to come here for the same services.

I’ve been here 4 times now to get my Keratin treatment done. Each and everytime I’ve had a great experience. It lasts as ling as I follow the stylists recommendations. Never had a scheduling conflict and they’ve wlways been courteous. Had a trim and eyebrow threading service done and happy with those results too :)

I came here on Christmas eve to get my hair blow dried for my birthday. I never been here but grew up in the area. My hairstylist is Georgina for 4 yrs now & I follow her where ever she goes. The place is friendly & the young stylists are sweet. I recommend going to Gerogina if your a curly girl but besides blowdry’s she does no chips, updo’s & professional makeup.

I went in to the salon to get my eye brows done I loved the music and feel of the salon as soon as I walked in I felt relaxed and I was approached right away by Georgina she was super friendly I enjoyed the experience with her. She threaded my eye brows perfectly it didn’t hurt it was fast and it was a perfect shape. This is definitely where I will be having my eye brows done in the future and also look forward to trying other treatments !

I bought a groupon which led me to this place. I had Georgina and she was awesome. She did a great job on my no chip. I also tried out the eyebrow threading which I was VERY impressed with. She did a nice job shaping them. Needless to say I really liked her and recommend her. The salon is a really cute place as well and the people there are nice. I would definitely go again!

So, I decided to get a blow out for my birthday because I just didn’t feel like doing my hair that day. I bought a Groupon and thought it’d be a good idea. NOT! I was appalled when the hairdresser named Nina washed my hair and didn’t even comb it out before started to blow dry it. I felt my hair getting ripped out of my scalp! I thought this was some type of new technique and I trusted this girl which was a big mistake! After I left the salon I started to get a headache! I’ve never had such a bad experience at a hair salon before and wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this place at all! Stay far away! DO your own hair; it’ll look way better!

I bought a Groupon for a Keratin Treatment. It was the worst treatment I have ever had. Ive gotten this done 3 times prior to here so I something to compare it to. My hair is frizzy when I air dry or blow dry. The only way to make it frizz free is to flat iron. If I wanted to flat iron my hair why get the treatment. Dont waste your money. The salon itself is cute and the girl was very sweet but dont get the Keratin.

Mongibello Salon and Spa girls are super-​talented and friendly! The moment my best friend and I walked in we felt welcomed (the stylist we shared for over 20 yrs recently married and moved out of state). I came in for high/​lowlights and Lisa took a solid 15 minutes going over new trends and techniques… I ended up with a fantastic cut and bright perfectly placed highlights. My cut is heavily layered and the length flirts with my shoulders perfect for my long, oval face and naturally wavy hair! My best friend is just as happy with her new stylist Vennessa, her new asymmetrical bob, and all of her many new compliments she gets daily! Thank you Mongibello!!!
