Ok I’ve been to this place since they opened, So far so good, but of course I referred a co-​worker to this place for a remote starter he had the worst experience it took a total of 3 days and at the end they made him pay for something that when the car went in was working when it left their shop wasn’t working so they made him pay for it. I’m giving them 3 stars because I’ve been going to this place for many years, but if it was my first visit I don’t think I would of gave them 3 stars maybe 1.

They put in my remote start so when my xm radio started acting up I asked them if they could look at it and tell me what was wrong. I had to pay them up front $ 40.00 which I wasn’t too happy about but was told they would definitively tell me what was wrong and I could take that $ 40.00 to use towards repairing the unit. After over an hour in the shop they told me definitively it was the unit receiver. Not the wiring or the antenna. Then they offered me some device for over $ 100.00 they said would make it work. I ordered a new receiver and dock which did nothing to fix the problem. I went back to them and they back peddled saying they only said it might be the unit. Really? For $ 40.00 I could have guessed that too! I paid to know — not guess — what the problem was. So far no refund. Not happy having paid out good money for NO SERVICE! Will never use or recommend them again! Rip offs!!!

Bad phone manners when I call. asked for an audio jack input in my car. he doesn’t answer the phone in a businesslike manner. I’ve called twice he doesn’t know what I’m talking about «what do I want to do…» doesn’t sound like he speaks English very well. Talks like he Has food in his mouth or something. not very professional phone manners. I would’ve liked to have done business with them

Got my remote starter and security system installed today. Every place I called quoted me $ 1200 for my Audi, I called and spoke to Dan and he explained to me what needed to be done and how much. I asked if I could come in on Monday to talk about the detail with him. I walked out today with everything I wanted for half the price. Over all great quality work! Good job MK and thank you Dan and Sam!

I needed a couple of speakers installed in my car. I happened upon this place and frankly I was a bit aprehensive. I’m glad I decided to inquire. I was met by Mr. Mun (owner I think) who immediatly called his tech, Mike (he tells me he’s been working there for 25 years) to asses. Within 30 minutes I’m done. Yes, they are friendly and reasonable. And yes, I’d recommend this place!

Dan did a great job tinting my 2013 Ford Taurus. :-) Fair prices, very easy to work with. Waiting room has free wifi.

I ended up going back to Dan at MK for some tint on my Suburban. Again, it was nothing short of an excellent experience over there. It was so good that I ended up coming back about 30 minutes later for Dan to install tint on my wife’s car. There is nothing better than dealing with someone who is not only extremely personable and knowledgeable, but someone who also wants to make sure you are 110% satisfied. That being said, every product he sells there has a lifetime guarantee because that is how much he stands behind his products and his professional installations. Of course he ended up giving me a discount for doing 2 vehicles, but I would gladly spend my money at his shop any day of the week based on my experiences with him. I would recommend this company for anything related to an automobile that they install because you will only be dealing with the best! Stop shopping prices and ending up with mediocre garbage when you can get the same price or damn close for PROFESSIONAL grade products and extremely PROFESSIONAL workmanship. The extra $ 20 you may spend there is well worth the quality and the lifetime guarantee on their products, which means a lot considering they are a family owned operation in business for over 30 years now. So I’m moving back to San Diego and California state law only allows 70% tint on drivers and passengers side windows — I had Indiana regulation tint of 35% so it definitely had to be removed if I didn’t want the $ 300 tint ticket in Cali. I found MK on Unilocal and am so happy I called them! I spoke with Sam on the phone who was really friendly and set me up with an appointment for the following week with Dan — I could have gotten in sooner but just couldn’t find the time.
Went in and was greeted with a big smile and firm handshake from Dan — talk about great first impression! He listened as I explained to him that the passenger and driver’s side window tint needed removed and replaced with 70% tint. My back windows were limo black so I was a little concerned with how it would look but he assured me he thought it would look great considering my car is only a 2 door so the back window wouldn’t be so obvious.
Much to my surprise, the new tint looked awesome! Talk about an adjustment to go from 35% to 70% but it’s not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Dan even finished earlier than I had anticipated and charged me $ 20 less than what he and Sam initially quoted me. The tint was absolutely perfect and flawless. I couldn’t be happier with the results and having tint removed and replaced for only $ 75 makes me a very happy girl!

Had tint put on my 2013 Honda Civic. Really well done and affordable ($ 200).
We noticed a huge hair in the back window tint about an hour after the tint was done. We called, they told us to bring the car back and they re-​did the entire back window for free. Great service.
Honestly, we’re picky about everything, and the hair in the window may have been something many vendors would have been upset about fixing. This guy was awesome, he fixed it on the spot and was genuine and polite the entire time.
If you need tint, this place is great.

Great place. Competitive price. Quality work done fast. Got double din audio installed and tint all the way around and they charged me $ 280, down from the $ 300 they quoted me on the phone. I checked-​in and got $ 20 Unilocal coupon to bring it down to $ 260 and he wasn’t happy about that because he thought he already gave me $ 20 off but he honored it. The place is well-​managed. Big garage. Super knowledgeable when I called for quote. And the work was done fast and efficiently. Great job MK!

Got my remote start and tints done here, both top quality. Dan and everyone I encountered was very nice, I can’t imagine anyone having anything negative to say. The only thing they could work on is communication, like let people know when you’ve started their car or maybe when they’ll be done in ³⁰⁄₆₀ minutes. Other than that, I’d say they’re the best in Chicago, ive referred a handful of friends already.

When my cheap car speakers went out, Dan didn’t try to upsell me. He got me replacements that were actually better quality and at the best price I found in the Chicago area. The installation was super fast and Mike even fixed some loose door parts. You can’t do better than that!

Very Honest. I had a car alarm put in and they did great work. The car alarm model I asked for had been upgraded and they were like «good for you» never any mention of more money. I told them I thought my stereo sounded ok but wondered if throwing speakers in would improve. After a listen, he said «No, this sounds great for stock. leave it alone». Great guys good advice and fair!

Had my windows tinted by Dan. Super friendly guy with really excellent customer service. Price was fair and quality was good. I would recommend him and his work to friends and family.

They upgraded the head unit in my Toyota for a very great price and in only 30 minutes. It works perfectly and was done professionally. Everyone is very friendly.

Got my Honda Accord tinted at MK’s and my car looks dope, yo! Went with a 50% on a black on black car and never looked back.
Took my car in at around 1p on a Thursday, and the service was completed 3 hours later. Few bubbles remained after the installation, but eventually disappeared a few days later. Very happy with the results and will definitely hook up with Dan (principal /​installer) in the future.
MK uses Sungard films and are backed with a lifetime warranty. Their prices are far more superior than most establishments and accepts Unilocal coupons to boot. Dan will also take the time to explain all your questions regarding legality /​overall aesthetics.

FRIENDLY AND GREAT SERVICE!!!
I was looking for window tinting service for my girlfriend’s ’11 Camry. Check out several places on Unilocal and this place has the best review so we decided to bring her car in last Friday. The location was easy to find. We walked in and they have a nice display of different types of alarm and car stereo available.
We met Sam first and he was nice and friendly. Right away he told us Danny is the owner and he’ll be right out. Then Danny came out and greet us. We told him what we were looking for and what he would suggest. He just got done finishing up another vehicle. He took his time explaining to us about different shades and how it would look on the car. We were going to go with medium tint but after seeing the finished car which is also black color with light tint on the front and medium tint on the back we decided to go with lighter tint which was what Danny suggest. This doesn’t make the car too dark and is legal. Last thing we want is be worrying about getting tickets.
The price was great and cheaper than couple places I had called so we left the car there and Danny told us to come back in 3 hours. When we came back to pick up the car we were really happy with the work. Light tint came out perfectly with black car. We were very satisfied with the work that I brought my car in today to get it tinted also.
I highly recommend MK Electronics if you want honest, friendly, and great service. My car came out nice and clean. Also there’s no materials left behind.

Fantastic family business! Great customer service! Unbeatable prices! I love this place and would recommend it to anyone! I had no idea what I was doing (had a stereo, needed it installed but didn’t want to buy the extra special fancy GM kit) and had called around to a few other places in the area. Every other place I called was WAY more expensive and very rude and didn’t want to sell me anything other than the $ 200 GM kit which I didn’t want! I was almost going to give up and then I found MK!
I believe it was Sam? (the son) and the father that helped me out. They were both very nice, very informative and answered every little question I had. Not only did the whole process take only an hour (and they were able to get a regular kit to fit!), but Sam recommended a great Mexican food place up the street for us to get some lunch while we waited… and even called us to let us know the car would be ready in 20 minutes.
The best part? They had quoted me a very reasonable price — and even though there ended up being a small complication with my particular model, they still honored the original price even though it should have cost me $ 25 more!
These guys are super nice and you should check them out! You won’t be disappointed and you’ll feel great for helping out a small family business! These guys are real pros!

They also gave me a warranty for the tints but i mean. he did such a great job that i dont even know if i actually need the warranty.
