I’ve been here multiple times now, first for only gynelogical issues, but then realized they also do primary care work here. Both doctors are very nice and helpful. Most of the time there is barely a wait. I think some of the staff could work on being a little more professional, but overall it’s great. If you call to make an appointment they will probably be able to see you within the week!

I’ve been seen by both Dr. Wang and Dr. Dmytriv, who are great. It’s so convenient to be able to go to the same doctor for general medical concerns and checkups, as well as OB/​GYN needs. I also love being able to schedule my appointments online and am generally able to be seen within a reasonable period of time (usually during my lunch on weekdays or on the weekends). The nurses and administrative assistants have always been friendly, and I haven’t had to wait for more than 15 minutes for my scheduled appointments once I arrive in the office.

So I love this health center but when you schedule an appointment it should be you see a doctor at your appointment time or near it.
My appointment was 12:15pm. No once acknowledged me but 12:40 and I finally said something at 12:45. Now I’m sitting in a room listening to a doctor and patient chat about their life and I’m still waiting. It’s 12:55 and again my appointment was 45 minutes ago. I wish doctors and staff were punctual and handled situations accordingly.

We have been to this practice since they opened a few years ago. They are very flexible and you can usually get an appointment the same day. The staff are also very friendly and the doctors are very knowledgeable.

I enjoyed meeting the doctor but unfortunately her staff is unprofessional and unresponsive.

Worst place I have ever been to. They neglect to answer phone calls, unorganized, and misinform patients. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

This is the second time Ive been to Midwest Health Center and am yet again please. The receptionist actually knows what she’s doing and is very friendly! The place is clean and organized. The staff is amazing. Ive never had a doctor actually take time to ask questions beyond just «why are you here?» Dr. Wang is super friendly and doesn’t talk down to you at all. I really like this place and will continue to go there! Only con would probably be parking, but public transportation is just steps away.

Midwest Health Center is a hidden gem. You’d walk/​drive right by it if you weren’t looking for it! I was referred by a friend to get the vitamin injections. I have never had anything like this done so I was a bit apprehensive. The staff took the time to explain everything and answer my questions. Every time I call (last minute at times due to varying work) for an appointment, they accommodate my schedule. Very pleasant and professional!

I was here for a skin condition that no one could solve. I’ve seen 6 doctors who all were stumped.
At this clinic I saw 2 doctors both of whom couldn’t solve my problem and just fed me lines of prescription. Needless to say the condition is still there and getting a return phone call is nonexistent (they also don’t follow-​up, which is unheard of). On my own I discovered simple reasons for my condition and slowly I am seeing improvement. After paying this place $$, getting biopsied, and never receiving an answer I would not return
But hey if you want aesthetic work I am sure they have somethin to sell

As I’m writing this, I’m sitting at the clinic waiting for a doctor to tell me what’s going on with my test result. I had my test 5 weeks ago and I was told that I would hear back from them 2 weeks after the test. So, 4 weeks passed, my doctor finally called and unfortunately I wasn’t able to pick up the phone. She left me a voicemail and asked me to call back. At this point, you know something went wrong with your result. I checked online (there’s a website that you can find your test results) and saw the test result, indeed, came back «abnormal.» So, since last Wednesday (today is Monday), I’d called back 5 times, the receptionist took my messages, but still there’s no words from my doctor. So, I decided to stop by the clinic today and see if I can catch my doctor for a minute. Unfortunately, she was off today but there’s another doctor on site (the owner I believe). The receptionist told me that the doctor on site was busy right now but when she had a moment between patients, she can look at my results and tell me what’s going on. However, the receptionist said I could not ask too many questions about my result unless I made an appointment. What? I understand the doctor’s time is precious but so is mine. I’m a customer who has been waiting for a result for weeks, made the time to stop by the clinic, sitting here for an hour waiting for someone to tell me what’s wrong with my body. When I expressed my frustration about not being able to ask too many questions (Honestly, all I wanted to know is what’s wrong and what the next step is. I’m not an unreasonable person. I run a business too!), the receptionist said,“Calm down, take a deep breath! You are fine. Otherwise, you would have known what’s wrong earlier.” Here is my understanding about what she said: 1. If my condition was fatal, I would hear back earlier. 2. If my condition wasn’t that serious, they could wait. But then, if mine wasn’t a serious issue, they could just simply have their assistant call. So, to conclude, my problem was important enough for my doctor to call and talked to me directly. So, when she asked me to calm down, she was making it look like I’m crazy. And I felt totally disrespected.
I’m still waiting to hear about my result. No matter what it is, I feel very disappointed. Not only about the bad experiences and worries that I’ve had in the past few weeks but also the fact that I DID enjoy working with my doctor. And it’s a shame that I lost my respect and trust for the clinic. I thought I found a clinic where I could go to regularly for many years but now I have to look elsewhere for another clinic who would respect their patients no matter how big or small their condition is.
P. S. I finally did get to talk to the doctor about my result. My condition was definitely serious enough that I needed further treatment. I was going to give this review a 1-​star. But after I talked her, I felt slightly better. She was very patient with me and apologetic about the wait. She took her time and I was able to ask QUESTIONS about my condition. So, I am giving them a 2-​star now and hope that they will get better at other areas, such as being responsive, prompt with getting back to their patients, front desk, customer services and etc. But still, I won’t be back since this whole experience was causing way too much stress.

Finally a good practice! I voiced my concerns and they were heard. Like Dr. Dmytriv actually listened to what I was saying. She gave me real advice and told me what to do next. This is not a doctor who is just trying to write everything down for records to rush through the appointment and look at you like an idiot.
My family’s health history is not good. I have never really been approached about that. She gave me suggestions to help me be proactive to not be a victim of the trend in my family’s health.
There was no push for a co-​pay. The receptionist kindly told me the co-​pay cost. Simple as that.
I waited maybe 10 minutes for my appointment. People may complain about waiting. I feel like it’s a given, as an adult, that you should always arrive early. It may be your first time or your 20^th time. Arrive early. However, if that isn’t the case. These are doctors. They are busy.
Will be back!

I cant speak highly enough of Dr. Wang and the staff at Midwest. Finding an OBGYN you trust is quite the task, and I’m grateful I found Dr. Wang. I felt she gave me her undivided attention and consideration which is unfortnuately rare at doctors offices these days. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative, and I will definitely be going back. Roxy at the front desk was also especially helpful and patient with my check in and the million questions that followed. Nothing but great things to say about my experience at Midwest.

This place is a joke. Before they even say hello they are pushing for your co-​pay.
Do not go here if you have anything more serious than a paper cut. I was misdiagnosed for an issue that turned into an emergency room visit and then surgery.
If I just would have gone to a real doctor I could have saved about $ 2000.
There’s a good chance they will refer you to other doctors but you will pay the price for each time they ask you to come in. «May I please have your copay?» NEVER AGAIN

I purchased a GroupOn special for B12 lipo injections. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the mixed reviews, but it was a pleasant experience (except the parking situation).
They offer a lot of services including facials, waxing, scar and mole removal, I didnt take advantage of those services. You had to make an appointment, but they accommodated you if you were running late. Sometimes there was a wait to be seen but nothing excessive.
The staff was cordial, the atmosphere was very clean and inviting. Overall I would recommend their b12 shots however it’s best to use public transportation or walk until construction is over in this area.

I have been going to Dr. Dmytriv at Midwest Health Center since 2012. She is a very caring primary doctor with an old fashioned approach to medicine. She always takes time to really ask questions and explain the science behind everything. I never feel rushed out the door the way I have at some of the larger hospital groups in Chicago. I also like that I can always get in quickly when something is really wrong. Finally, the nurses and office staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend her and her staff!!!

Dr. Dmytriv is really great. I’ve seen her for a pap and more recently, a physical exam, at which time she updated all my prescriptions, including something I take to keep my skin clear — which helped me avoid going to visit my regular (and expensive) dermatologist. She takes the time to address all of my issues. Even the nurse who takes my blood samples does a great job… I know that sounds weird, but because I have tattoos on my arms sometimes I have to get poked a few times before they find the vein but this girl nails it every time, the first time. It is relatively easy to get an appt in a timely manner, and the front desk personnel are always helpful.

Can I give this place zero stars? That is what they deserve. The doctor will spend little to notice with you, not listen to you and then just push drugs to get you to go away instead of figuring out what is actually wrong with you. Very bad bedside manners. They will also try and up charge your insurance so they can get paid more, check your insurance claims. Never go here!!! I repeat, do NOT go to this place.

The receptionist is very personable and helpful upon my calling and making an appointment. Dr. Dmytriv was very kind, patient, and thorough. She made sure I didn’t have any additional questions and concerns. She answered questions professionally and yet as if she was my friend telling me her opinion on my thoughts. I felt very comfortable with her, and was glad that her office was relatively close to where I live. I am able to access my records online, and I heard back promptly about all my results for my tests being ok. I will be back for my next yearly physical and check-​up and any other health related issues.

Marina is an angel! She does an amazing job and is very
sweet. I had a laser procedure done on my neck and my skin
is very sensitive. When she was done I looked like I had
fallen asleep in the sun, but by night time the redness subsided
and I could see a more youthful looking neck. I was nervous
about getting it done, but I’m glad I did!
