I don’t usually leave reviews on Unilocal, but this McDonalds practically forced me too. I waited probably about five minutes just for the cashier to walk up, who was standing around near the fries chatting. The service took probably about another 10. All I have to say for this is, never again.

When I visited this McDonalds, the staff was extremely courteous and the cleaning specialist on duty beforehand made sure the establishment was spotless! Really enjoyed my time here and the food was great as always.

I would never write a review about a McDonald’s, but this review is for the simple fact that they were closed before 6 on a Sunday. Google has them open until 7, but I guess not.

Huge kudos to the manager in charge of making the hash browns every morning. This guy serious makes hash browns perfectly on point! Never greasy and soggy. Always fresh and crispy. I am in & out in 3 minutes they are so quick and friendly. Keep up the good work as you have never failed me in the mornings.

Come here often for breakfast and occasionally for lunch. They are very quick to get your order and the people there are very friendly and always smiling! The manager is a nice guy who helps get the orders out. Their breakfast sandwiches are always tasty and warm, never feel like they’ve been sitting around waiting for someone to come along and buy them. There is plenty of seating. But can be hard to find group seating during lunchtime. It’s an L-shaped dining area with two person high chair table seating along the windows along Franklin, and countertop seating along Jackson, which is great for people watching. Only thing, they need to renovate and make it more modern, with new seating and décor.

At this McDonald’s chaos reigns supreme. I get it, location, location, location. it will be busy but this place is an unorganized, chaotic madhouse. I submitted a suggestion to the corporate office that they come up with a solution to their«Form(X amount) lines please!» It never fails, I get in the worst line that takes forever because BonQuiQui is behind the counter and she’s got a complicated order. I just want to yell, suhcurity! This place would run so much better if they had a snake line that took the next customer instead of people trying to jockey from one line to a faster one. Like I said. Chaos. After my suggestion email to corporate the regional manager sent me a free value meal coupon, because that fixes everything. Upon trying to use it the all knowing and knowledgeable employee pointed out it was only valid at the address listed. I responded«You mean the corporate office?» This was the address that she was pointing out. I explained and showed her where it said«any Chicagoland McD’s» but she decided it was time to take a stand against scofflaws like me. Lets just say there was a tense standoff before the manager intervened, tried to pull the same shit but in the end I won because I was right. Now I just head to the Adams and Wells McD’s when I fall off my healthy kick wagon. They have the same line shituation but they seem to manage it a hell of a lot better. I believe this block is cursed… this McDonald’s is awful and on the same block you have Franklin Tap, where I’m assuming Mc’D’s biggest shade throwers are sent when they graduate customer disservice 101.

We actually just visited this McDonald’s to get the .49 cent cone and use the restroom but we couldn’t use the restroom until we got the cone. The cashier was nice and held off making our cones until we got back but be advised«No Pay No Restroom»

I’m not sure what is compelling me to write a McDonald’s Unilocal review, but I like this location, and it deserves more credit than it gets. I frequent here… often times on my short breaks and they’re always efficient, giving me plenty of time to get back to the break room and enjoy. Also,(in the case of my 10 piece McNugget meal) they’re cheaper than the one on Adams/Wells as well as the one on State/Jackson. It loses a star because one time all of they’re card machines were down and it was cash only, and it has yet to be renovated like the one on Adams/Wells.

I wouldn’t normally Unilocal about a McDonalds, but these guys are the pits. Service is absolutely terrible. They’re slow and chatty amongst their colleagues while the customers are piling up quick. This location also does not participate in ANY nationwide promos. I wouldn’t wish this location on my worst enemy. Seriously. and if you go after 7pm, you’ll get hit up by a homeless dude asking for your spare change.

The people who work here are super professional, however, $ 1.59 for a double cheeseburger is a blatant exploitation of supply and demand.

Been here a couple of time, and every time it is terrible. Stopped here for breakfast a couple weeks ago, got to the office and realized they forgot to give me hash browns. Last week I got a 49 cent ice cream cone that was so small it was worth about a quarter. Today they were out of Shamrock Shakes, really. Congrats on being the worst McDonalds I’ve visited over the years.

Not all McDs are created equal and I was expecting more in the town where the McDs world headquarters is located. This location next to Willis towers was super grimy. The sign that said 30 mts to eat your food inside was kinda funny.

I love McDonald’s. Of course I was the victim of busy parents and busy schedules with lower-middle-class incomes leading to drive-through McDonald’s goodness several times a week growing up. I refuse to think I’m hooked, because I can quit any time. And I will go for weeks without a visit nowadays, even months. And frankly ever since that Supersize Me movie came out and McDonald’s starting attempting to «clean up» its act, I visited even less frequently because I don’t like what’s become of it. They took away my right to Supersize and tried to bait-and-switch me by saying I had the right to get a salad or fruit slices instead. They even had a quickly-failed promotion about giving away Fitness DVDs with the purchase of Extra-Value Meals. McDonald’s trying to pretend it’s healthy is what is driving away the die-hard fans like me. The reason why this location gets four stars is because they have the place set up right. They have room for multiple lines to form, spaces on either side where you can lurk during the rush after placing an order while waiting for them to announce your order is ready, and the workers are friendlier here. One of the lunchtime workers, David, often tries to guess my order, since I tend to fall into ruts and he learns quickly when I change things up for a while depending on my mood that day. While occasionally the food I receive isn’t that tasty(I’ve eaten a couple of half-assed McChickens from here), it’s at least always what I’ve ordered. This place also accommodates to random requests and occasionally won’t charge me extra to get Big Mac sauce on my double-cheeseburger(the poor man’s Big Mac), though due to economic times, they’ve been usually charging for it as well as charging to get packets of barbecue sauce for my fries(always delicious). All in all, they’d be dealing with the economy better if they took a better look at their business model. They’ll sell a hamburger for $ 1.10, a cheeseburger for $ 1.30, and a double-cheeseburger for $ 1.00. They didn’t even bat an eyelash when I heard the lady in front of me order just a cheeseburger and I leaned in and said, «you know, you can save yourself 30 cents by getting the double-cheeseburger instead» and the cashier actually NODDED to verify the statement and the lady changed her order and thanked me. If they could make sure that hot food is served hot(but not mouth-burningly hot because they microwaved it too long) a little more often and stopped being such cheapskates about the condiments, this place could earn its fifth star.

Wi-fi hotspots are everywhere, but the spiffy thing about Mickey D’s is that theirs are compatible with the Nintendo DS Lite browser(most networks aren’t yet). Appropriate that I’m reviewing this place from my DS Lite! Ok, nerd alert, I know! But I’m a compulsive email checker, and it’s a nice alternative to dragging my laptop all over the place. I can just bring my ultra-portable little gaming system into a McDonald’s and still check my email, Unilocal, and whatever else is floating around on the internet. The staff here is extraordinarily patient. I think I’d be on the verge of a serious breakdown if I had to deal with the lunchtime crowds they get every day. I don’t really like fast-food, but the apple dippers are a nice, healthy snack. And maybe I have a weakness for McFlurries, too.

I get breakfast from this McDonalds and they’re always nice and fast. I don’t want to have a conversation with my McDonalds employee and they don’t give it, so I’m very happy with that. As far as deals, this is the only McDonalds I’ve ever been to that offers a sausage biscuit and hash brown for $ 1. It’s $ 1.10 after tax and the cheapest breakfast I’ve found in the loop. Lil’ known secret there, pass it on.

Dude… I hate McDs… but this one I am reviewed based solely upon my experience when I had to use the restroom on a hot, humid day. Its so clean, the music is lovely, and the staff were even smiling… I mean, come on people, that just doesn’t happen at McDonalds. If you are in the mood for something fatty and calorie filled, and you are OCD about cleanliness, this is a good one to stop at, or if you are like me and need to go… stop here!
