Martez Rucker- Pianist and Vocalist

We found Martez Rucker by posting a flyer, «looking for a pianist», at the Columbia School of Music. We were looking for someone to play piano during our cocktail reception. When Martez first contacted us about the job, we asked for references. One reference he gave us was another instructor on staff at Columbia, she could not say enough great things about Martez, so we were very excited. After hearing him play, we were blown away & certain we wanted to have him play at our cocktail hour! Martez played piano during our cocktail hour & was accompanied by a Bass Guitarist & Saxophonist. These were two other guys that he plays with all the time.“a trio”. They were amazing! Martez also brought his keyboard & played music during the ceremony, he did a great job. We purchased the sheet music for the songs we wanted him to play & he played it all perfectly.
Martez has been playing piano since he was 8 years old & it really shows. If you are looking for a pianist to play at an event, reception, or wedding I would definitely recommend Martez! Martez is also a vocalist, but we did not have him sing. He is willing to travel anywhere in the country, not just in the Chicagoland area… you have to hear him play!
