This place has amazing pizza but I agree with everyone else, their customer service sucks and half of the time when I order food my Pizza gets here cold and soggy, once it was like totally destroyed on one side as if the driver dropped it on the ground, but hey at least when they get it right it delicious…

Horrible horrible experience!!! Their phone girl and customer service will not allow you to pay for pick up over the phone as to up charge for delivery and tax. Their excuse is «just because» and credit card fraud. The only pizza place in Chicago that does not allow for you to pay over the phone where you«must» be present with a photo ID and card to prove your the one who ordered pizza. Really!!! Am I in line at the DMV??? Next they are going to want me to show proof of address!!! Where is the convenience in that. Also, when you do not opt to pick up and pay with cash they hit you with it will take an hour and forty-five minutes for delivery. Make up your mind!!! Do you want me to take stress off the delivery service. I’m trying to not only cut delivery charges off my bill, but expedite this process as well. IMHUNGRY!!! This is false though because when we ordered from them before they said this and their delivery man had to wait 20 minutes until we got home because of this false time interval they projected. The poor guy ended up coming within 30 minutes. Where is the consistency people!!! How is this place still in business with such stringent policy. Oh boy posted on the walls of this place stipulate if you walk off and you get the wrong change they will not take responsibility. Also, no refunds and if you drop any food or just do anything that customers do sometimes your screwed. Your money is theirs and there is nothing you can do about it O. o Are we ordering pizza here or am I visiting Ft. Knox or getting shipped to county??? Seriously people don’t even waste your time, La Villa here we come I guess(across the street, time to try something new). I’m done here!!!

Horrible customer service no one working the phones knows what they are doing. If you have question you’ll be put on hold for a good 5 minutes. I’ve never got a order in under an hour an half. If your hungry don’t call them!

Best thin pizza in Chicago. I looked at the other review saying the phone operator were rude but I’ve never had a rude operator. I usually order a pizza with jalapeños, bacon, pepperoni, and extra sauce. It’s the best. I’ve order the lasagna and raviolis and they weren’t that bad. Overall, best pizza and been ordering pizza here since around 2005.

I looove the pizza from here, but the service is horrible! I am not talking about the dine in service, but the ride rude girls that are in the back. I’ve always have called and ordered it pizza every friday from here, but last time approximately a month ago, I called and the rude girl named Ana was not only being rude and unprofessional, but she was also disrespecting me calling me bad names when all I had asked for was pizza. Tonight I called again and rude girl again answered my questions rudely and was not polite at all. I had called to inquire about Groupon and her response was, «Mam, maybe if you read the fine print, you would know how to read that it’s for dining only». I mean girls, I know you hate your job, but please try to act like you care to receive more customers. If you can’t answer a simple phone call and answer customers’ questions courteously and respectfully, then this is not a job for you! A good thing about this service are the cooks that are much more nicer than those rude cashiers.

This place has the WORST customer service. I called in an order, the guy on the phone was extremely rude and kept getting my order wrong, then told me someone would call me back to verify and hung up on me. Didn’t get a call back so I just cancelled the order. It’s too bad really, because their pizza is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I’m sure they get away with the crappy service because of the type of neighborhood it’s in. Won’t be getting my money ever again.

I used to live a block away 20 years ago and we have gotten pizza from there every Friday. It was delicious!!! Sad to hear about the reviews now because this was home to me. I hope they fix their customer service or they’ll lose customers.

My husband and I just ordered from here for the first time, and the food was pretty good. I had the Alfredo which was yummy. My husband had the chicken sandwhich which was filled with mushrooms(gross) he likes them tho so it wasn’t bad for him. That gives them the 3 stars, because the service was worse than the service at the secretary of the state office. The man on the phone was loud and unpleasant, and I understand you work in a restaurant where you probably have 5 people on hold and you’re busy, but regardless you’re in the business where you have to be friendly to the customer. I’ve worked in the industry before, so I see no excuse to being rude. Then the driver had the nerve to yell my husbands name out in the street… Ummm hello that’s why we gave you our number so you could call when you’re outside not holler out for my husband like he’s your buddy.

Oh my God this place has given me the worst customer service ever in my life time. Made a order for an x-large mama luna special w/garlic pizza with fries for a business Verizon Wireless at the least. Now remind you this is a business and to top it off I’ve always recommended this place to other business in the area. The delivery person came in with the wrong order for one, two the reps over the phone were upset I would refuse the wrong order that wasnt mine. So I can imagin how the next customer must be feeling when their order comes around late or wrong. The customer service lady on the phone, was arguing with me on the phone because of what her delivery driver told her, more like a he said she said thing. Another rep on the phone said they would send me the right order which they never attempted to deliver the second time. I’m so thru with this resturant Ive been a customer since I was 9yrs old Im 32 yrs old now. The lady who took my call twice wouldnt let me state what the driver did and would not let me speak once without inturpting me every time I tried to speak. Very very very unprofessional!

I ordered pizza because my good friend would always order from Mama Lunas. Im sorry but the PERSONONTHEPHONEISSUPERRUDE!!! She has a terrible attitude and barely allowed me to talk and really needs to calm down or get out. The pizza was descent, good price, but didn’t enjoy it; the barely had enough cheese. They really need to do something about the worker on the phone because with this experience I’ll think twice about going to eat inside, much less call again. Ill hang up.

First off I love their pizza and I would give them a 5 star but they have really rude people who answer the phone. I called back to see why my order was so much and the woman I could tell she wasn’t young so she should know better acted like I was a bother and got rude with me. All she had to do was kindly state the price and why it came out that way. If you read this Mama Luna you really need to have a talk with your employee’s. I have heard of this being a problem but never experienced until now.

Mama Luna’s has the best and cheesiest thin crust pizza around. The ingredients are also pretty big and piled on, especially the mushrooms which are sliced into big pieces. I have ordered from here on and off many years. And they deliver pretty far, I have lived in Chicago my entire life, from Logan Square, Independence Park, Portage Park, Humboldt Park and Lakeview and Mama Luna delivered to all of my residences. The only negative is the dining room, slow service and outdated.

My husband and I ordered from Mama Luna’s quite often but tonight will be the last time they receive any business from us! After receiving a large pizza by delivery we sat down to eat as I took 2 bites out of my slice I noticed my husband pulling a long strand of black hair from between the cheese and crust of his pizza. I immediately called to complain and after going around with the order taker and having her insinuate that the hair wasn’t human hair because the cooks are bald and then she went on to suggest that maybe the hair fell into the pizza when the box was opened. I explained to her that my hair is blonde NOTBLACK! So now I sit at home with a box full of pizza that I refuse to eat and I’m thoroughly disgusted with their staff and customer service.

To everyone bitching about the service: do you buy pizza in order to be serviced, or because you like to eat delicious, affordable pizza? Sure, they’ve hassled me for my central Jerz area code, which typically only happens in New York. Borrowing a friend’s phone is an effective solution. The only reason I order pizzas? I love to eat pizzas. Sure, i wish the staff was really kind to me, asked me how my back’s been feeling, and massaged my shoulders while they melted the 2,678 lbs of cheese they cram into their stuffed pizzas.(Seriously. Each tiny square is a meal.) But you know what? This ain’t Oz, and finding a family-owned pizza joint with stuffed slices this good doesn’t happen every day. So tuck your ego and realize that sometimes you gotta suffer for that perfect slice. Also, speaking as a pizza expert(as everyone from the northeast believes themselves to be,) I had ZERO respect for the Chicago-style stuffed slice until Mama Luna’s schooled me on it. To anyone who thinks this place is sketchy: duh, of course it is! Ask any New Yorker: all the best pizza places are sketchy. Very sketchy. Get out of the kiddy pool and take a dip in the danger zone, or get used to a lifetime of Little Caesar’s.

The pizza is great prob one of the best places in chicago, fresh ingredients we usually order the mega ball size which feeds a large group, would of given 5 stars if wasn’t for the very rude people who take the orders.

The pizza here is great. Sure the place is in a seedy part of town, but once you get there, the joint is awsome. The waitress’s are nice. You have to try this place. If you like thin crust or Chicago style deep dish… this is the place for you. They have a huge parking lot right next door and they have football pizza. They serve beer and other liquors too. You should go here with your friends or family. The prices are very reasonable and they deliver. The people that your order over the phone are also very nice. Plus, they still give you free pop with your pizza. RC of course.
