Magdy Milad, MD – Northwestern Memorial Hospital

I was referred to Dr. Milad for an urgent condition, and when I saw him I was severely anemic. He was able to schedule me for surgery the very next day. I was referred to him by my gynecologist because of his skill, but in addition, he is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met… and I work in the medical profession! He literally held my hand as I went under anesthesia.
Office space is beautiful, and his staff was friendly. I am feeling so much better a month post-​op, and have nothing but nice things to say about my experience with Dr. Milad.

Best doctor ever! He quickly made a diagnosis, explained ALL the options and helped me decide what was right for my specific situation. We scheduled surgery about a month later and met again about a week before to review the details. Its been about 3 months and I couldn’t be more happy. He is the top reproductive surgeon in the city and well worth any wait.

An incredible, passionate, and caring surgeon. He is the absolute best. From the second I met him, he floored me.

I’ve had ongoing medical complications from surgery three years ago and was referred to Dr. Milad by my gynecologist for abdominal pain. Dr. Milad did not review my file, instead asking me «what do you want from me today?» He did not perform any kind of exam, and in fact didn’t touch anything on me at all, other than my hand when he shook it.
He may be a positive addition to a surgical team, but I would never recommend that anyone see Dr. Milad for an office visit or to make any diagnosis, because now I’m in Germany with severe abdominal pain, thankfully returning to the US tomorrow. Another specialist has fit me in for an emergency visit and exam as soon as I return — which is the level of care and attention any patient deserves.

Dr, Milad is an amazing surgeon. His bedside manner should be the envy of any doctor. He also seems like a genuinely nice person. I highly recommend him and also his practice is very well run. No long waits and his front desk staff and scheduler are very pleasant.

I’m sure Dr. Milad knows as much about his specialty as any doctor. And he was perfectly pleasant the few times he saw us. But, most of our time was spent with a resident and the prices were ridiculously high. We paid around $ 600 (after insurance!) for a few minutes of his time. Did anyone tell us it would be that expensive? No. This was just to assess what tests we should run, mind you. It wasn’t even to do anything! Most of the assessment was done by the resident. It just wasn’t worth the cost. His eventual recommendation, after we did the tests (which were all extra, obviously) was just the standard treatment in the industry anyway, so we paid all of that to be told what anyone would have told us. Plus, the office manager never returned our repeated phone calls. I was really disappointed with the lack of professionalism and with their cookie cutter approach to their patients. After my experience with Dr. Milad’s office, I will always ask the cost of anything medical before I do it.

This man is a medical God among mere mortals. I needed to be treated for fibroids and I did have to wait a while to get an appointment in the office. I actually saw a different doctor in the same group and he said that my type and size of fibroid would be better suited in the hands of Dr. Milad. He was right. Dr. Milad treated me with patience and respect throughout my surgery and recovery. I trusted him with my life, and I’m glad I did. Dr. Milad is one of the top guys in the city, and his results show why. I would send everyone I know to him.
