We are here to get all interactive on these bottles. Throwing it down, Lush style, and getting all down and dirty with your wine. Understanding the terroir, that is. Taking a look down under, the dirt, the land and the root of the vine. But, more importantly, learning what exactly we like and how to ask for it by name. Which flavors, which grapes. With food or without. And also recognizing consistently what we do not care for. Life is just too short to drink undesirable beverages. Drink what you like. Love it! The Lushes have your back… we are all about hedonistic, sensual activities that engage the senses. Wine, beer, or spirits and everything in between. Especially in between. We are practiced professionals at drinking and talking about what we drink. Open each day, noon until 10pm, for all your thirst quenching needs.

So, visit us and join us in doing what we do best… sipping, tippling, and loving it. Free Sunday tastings, 2−5pm. Classes. We do also know how to throw a party!

History

Established in 2006.

LUSH began out of of our frustration with wine selection between big box stores and the grocery shelves. LUSH is fashioned to be practical, a bit more eclectic, and most importantly, a local and delicious alternative focused on making your shopping experience enjoyable and fun.

I love Lush! I’ve been here multiple times as it’s so close to home! I usually drop by and pick up a bottle or two from their $ 11 selection. Their $ 11 wines are always fabulous — whether red or white!
I love going to Lush in the summer when you can sit outside and watch the world go by with a good friend (or a few)!

Came here after the oyster fest was done on Saturday. Had about an hour to drink so our group of 7 bought a couple bottles of red and had a seat in the adjoining room. Such a cute place! Loved the wine glass chandeliers and overall dark and cozy feeling. There’s a kitchen in there too and I could see and smell some good stuff coming out to the other tables. Unfortunately they close at 11:00 so we had to chug the last bit of vino cause we were getting the boot (I swear we weren’t rowdy) Didn’t really understand why we were asked to chug when another couple in there was taking their time and still in there eating and drinking after we left… still a nice place to grab a bottle and enjoy.

Came here after dinner down the street to have a flight of different wines. The nice things is this place has already grouped some employee choices and bottles under $ 12 for you. The staff was helpful and made some good suggestions. We also got the cheese plate and the popcorn to snack on. The popcorn was ok but the cheese had some great options especially the thinly peeled option. Overall a good after-​dinner place to get cheaper drinks.

I live in the neighborhood so I’ve been here a bunch of times and have always loved it. I actually had my wedding here last weekend, and it was perfect! Yup, both ceremony and reception. As a budget cautious bride, I only had about 30 guests. I’m the opposite of a bridezilla and wanted something really laid back but sophisticated at the same time. Phyllis is amazing. She is always super busy, but I put my trust in her, and she absolutely delivered! The rest of the staff was also great as usual. My guests had a great time and of course loved the booze and the food. I’m so glad I decided to have my wedding at Lush!

I love this place. The staff are incredible. Last night I had wine with a friend and we ordered their excellent hummus. When they packed up my leftovers they presented me with a nice fresh loaf of unbelievably good french bread to take home with it. Who does that? I am a regular customer from now now. Thanks Lush folks, for your delightful experience.

Love this place! We’ve lived in the neighborhood and stop in for wine all the time. My husband also threw a surprise 30th birthday for me here right after the tasting room opened and it was phenomenal.
We recently went back during the week with our pup and sat outside for drinks and snacks. We bought an extremely reasonably priced bottle inside, were helped by the fantastically friendly Phyllis who fell in love with our dog, Milo, bringing him treats as we waited for our wine to chill. The service is a LITTLE slow, but this is not a restaurant and we were in no rush, so we didn’t mind. I appreciated the time everyone on the staff took with us, even if it was making sure we felt like we were ordering the right cheeses.
Note: the cheese and meat boards are GENEROUS. We ordered both and had to get a doggie bag. You should definitely try the chickpeas as they are addicting, too. We will absolutely be back as usual to buy wine, but this might be our new, go-​to spot for awesome outdoor dining in the neighborhood.

Really like this place. They have a nice selection of mid range wines (of course the more expensive stuff too if you’re so inclined). I like stuff from cali and italy, and they have a good selection of cabs, rosso’s, even a few brunello’s good vintages and from some of the better wineries. They don’t try and push the expensive stuff though, front and center they have a bunch of big bins full of table wines. They’ve also been very helpful everytime I’ve gone in, which quite often since I live around the corner.

My friend and I went here because she lives close by and wanted a cozy spot to grab a bite and have some wine. We arrive after 6pm and we were greeted very kindly and asked if we wanted help with selecting a bottle of wine. I advised the lady behind the counter that we are wanting to eat as well. We were told that the «chef» is running a little late. I’m not very concerned as this place serves mostly cheeses, charcuterie, and popcorn. Well, an hour goes by and the «chef» is still not there. It’s 7:00pm and there’s nobody there to pop popcorn and slice the meats??? We finally put our order in for food and we get our popcorn. Over an hour later we get our sliced Iberico jamon (ham). The «chef» felt the need to come over and tell us that he’s unwrapping the Iberico ham just for us and it’s very expensive. (Um, I know. We’re paying $ 19 for approximately 2 – 3 ounces). Nearly 30 minutes after that we finally get our fois gras croistinis. All told, it took 90 minutes to get our food, none of which required cooking unless you count popping popcorn cooking.
I don’t recommend coming here for food. Service is atrocious and the food as well as the wines are overpriced for what you get.

My husband and I rented out Lush on Roscoe for my 40th birthday. We had about 35 people. Pablo the manager was nice enough helping me plan, but kind of laid back and not as proactive as I hoped — I was disappointed that he didn’t remind me the deadline of when I needed to put my food order in for the party, so we missed out on the beef tenderloin and lobster sandwiches. But he assured me that he’d pull what we could together for an amazing menu and night. I had no choice but to trust…
Well, the night was amazing. The food was delicious (we even had some of the tenderloin/​lobster, they made it happen). The wine choices Pablo helped us select were perfect, and the service was incredible. The staff walked around filling up our glasses and bringing out new food. The kimchi/​cheese sandwiches — incredible. Such a fantastic party. I would give Lush 5 stars but the planning had me worried. But as Pablo said, it would be great. And it was.

Be sure to confirm every detail before you host a wine tasting, otherwise, you will get overcharged. I thought I confirmed the $ 35 tasting and the treats were a little extra, since we were celebrating (didn’t seem like shared hummus, popcorn, cheese and shaved meats should be an extra $ 40 per person). We came in and they just started to bring out the food. In the end, the manager gave us a small break on the final cost, but we didn’t appreciate the bait and switch. Also, don’t expect to learn much about the wines, they just poured and ran. Maybe the shop itself is fine, but I won’t be planning any events with them ever again. Definitely won’t be back.

Totally sucked. Got suckered into buying their $ 10 a can sardines and tuna from Spain after seeing a guy on TV say it tastes so good. It tasted like Bumble Bee and King Oscar from Walgreens but at 6 times the cost.

We took a wine class here led by the general manager, Pablo. It was fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for a better combination of great wines and interesting information. And we did some shopping afterwards — great selection at reasonable prices. The whole experience is highly recommended!

I love the whole idea and concept of this place, go in and buy an a inexpensive bottle of wine they open and give you glasses and you can spend your evening here just as you would in a bar only less expensive! Super cute and fantastic wine selection (and craft beers)!

This place is the best!- Educated, cool, and super friendly staff! The whole atmosphere is so cool. great ambience and music. Awesome variety of wines with great price range!
ANd now that the restaurant side has opened… OMG!!! I have no clue how many times Ive been! the food is unique, creative, and delicious!

Went here for a Pappy Van Winkle release the night before Thanksgiving 2012. There was also a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout release at the same time and only two people working the shop with about 50 patrons.
Both employees (owners? managers? hobos? who knows) were totally overwhelmed and never mentioned that for the Goose Island release, you get in line, but for the Pappy, you get a ticket at the door (two different processes, not confusing at all…/sarcasm).
Because there were only about 6 bottles of Pappy, the first three people that had tickets bought them up. Those three were there before me which is fair enough, but knowing the process ahead of time would have saved me waiting for an hour for nothing. Also, had they mentioned that process via their social media (which is where they announced the Pappy release in the first place), I would have gotten there much earlier to improve my chances of getting a ticket. All-​in-​all, a waste of my time for absolutely nothing, which could have been prevented by some basic customer service.
I walked away empty-​handed, went to Galleria by the Southport Brown Line and bought a cheaper bottle of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout.

This spot is a keeper!
Sometimes you have to seek out a staff member, but everyone is nice and friendly. The wine selection is great and the snacks are really tasty. A great spot to buy some wine — and go ahead and open it and drink there while you’re at it!

The huge LUSH sign with blinking lights in the window always call out my name when I pass by. They also sell wine related trinkets and other gift-​able items. Two thumbs up on the chocolates they carry. Street parking isn’t too difficult.
