Great selection of Kickee Pants and Tea Collection. Friendly little neighborhood boutique and my go-​to for gifts. I wish they carried more Made in the USA (or at least not in China) clothing.

A tad on the expensive side. But great stuff if you can catch a sale. The girls working there are always so friendly and helpful.

4 stars for being clean, having a variety, and attentive service. A fifth star for having plenty of items marked way down on sale. Don’t let the 3 cash symbols scare you away. You will find something you like here.

Wonderful, local little shop for kids stuff. It can get a little crowded, but you are sure to find something unique and delightful.

Great kids clothing store. They gave me a cold beer while my wife shopped! My wife keeps our daughter styling thanks to little threads.

Littlethreads has great city fashion for boys.
I’ve always liked that the have urban fashion for boys that is still slightly classical. I can get funky pants with a cute stripped sweater. It’s not all graphic Ts. The great thing is these are clothes they can wear every day. play in. and still look good if we are going out for dinner. That’s what makes them worth every penny.
Really cute See Kai Run shoes also. Great customer service too… and a dressing room … I can’t buy stuff without trying it on the boys.
Also they always have great books, and puzzles for little toys for my guys so we don’t have to go to the big box toy stores… which I can’t stand.

Although most prices are still high for my liking, many more sales are offered. Join their mailing list and you will know about all of them. They also have a great deal and coupon if you check in on the Unilocal app.

This place is so adorable! They have such a wide array of adorable clothes for babies up to early elementary. If you want to find Chicago gifts, they have great kids books on the Cubs and the Bears as well as onsies sporting cute Chi-​town logos. Also, you get 20% off one item if you check in here on Unilocal.
The owner was helpful and even showed me a few of her favorite finds in the store. Although some of the prices can be a little high for a school teacher like myself, we all want to splurge from time to time on our little ones or our friend’s little ones.

Adorable clothes, great source for gifts for all ages and awesome customer service! When I’m at a total loss of what to get my niece, my nephew, my godson, I know I can just stop in and ask someone at Little Threads what they recommend. The gifts are always a hit and span price ranges worthy of a «just because» gift to amazing new baby gifts. I also love that they are connected to the community: hosting story hours, events for local moms groups, community events and great sales. I must stop in there at least once a week just to see what new and there’s always something new… and great! Highly recommend!

I am a kids store fanatic. In fact, I’m the kind of mom who goes to big cities and searches out stores because I enjoy picking out adorable clothes for my two boys. And when it comes to more expensive children’s clothes, you believe you will get excellent customer service.
This was just not the case with this store. When you visit a store like this from out of town, and they don’t have the selection you are looking for, the store offered to let me see a catalog. Sure, I could have gone online to order those items, but I’m a believer in helping out the brick and mortar stores. They are going out of business left and right, and I like to help the small business owner. So I decided that would be a great idea, picked out many items, and they told me they would be shipped in two weeks.
They never followed up. I called many times to inquire, but I got the items five weeks later. When they did show up, part of the order was wrong, which I tried to return. The owner said they don’t return special orders typically, but would give me a store credit. Are you kidding me? As if a store credit is going to help me as I live halfway across the country!
I was lucky the local store that I typically order from and knows the kind of customer I am has generously offered to let me return the items there. That is called good customer service. When I told the owner of LT, she was ok with that. The owner was ok because she refused to help me (btw, my total return is like a whopping 100 bucks– I spent about $ 500 in her store, if not more) This is pathetic IMO.
When in Chicago, I typically shop at the Red Balloon, however, they quit carrying Tea. So that is precisely why I searched out this store. Never again. Just know they have a horrible return policy. Go online and purchase your clothes. At least then you can be sure you can return them. Since the owner has been incredibly aloof, I plan to be vocal on sites like this to let others know what they are getting into.
Just thought everyone should know this before making a gift purchase.

Little Threads in Roscoe Village is a great place to shop for gifts and special occasions. They always have bright colorful and unique clothing. I also think they have the largest selection of Tea Collection and girls hairbows in the city! This is a great local boutique!

I was visiting Chicago last week and stopped into this great neighborhood kids clothing store. It is perfect, from play clothes to birthday dresses, they have all the best brands, from Tea, Petit Bateau to smaller boutique names i had never heard of… I was able to get my 3 year old girl dressed for the out of town parties we were headed to as well as my 7 month old little guy. Great find for sure!

The staff here was busy setting up for some type of event when I stopped in here so I didn’t receive too much attention, but one of the sales peep did nicely offer to sing for me since their music was broken. I told her singing was unnecessary since checking out their cute kids inventory kept me plenty entertained. And yes, shopping for my baby has proven to be endless entertainment (and quite dangerous)…
They have super cute clothes for babies and bigger kids. Most of it was a bit pricey, especially since I’m learning my little one grows out of her wardrobe every few months, and unfortunately the sale rack didn’t have much on it.
I did see a few things that would look darling on my little girl, but decided against them since her summer wardrobe is MUCH bigger than mine. However, I’d definitely stop back in here to do some damage in a few months when it’s time to do a little fall/​winter shopping.

Headed to Roscoe Village for lunch and shopping with my daughter a couple o weeks ago and stumbled upon the chart sale. Hot damn… did they have some killer deals to be had! I love their selection of Hurley, Pinc, & Wati.
The same sales person as our previous visit was there and she rememebered us the minute we walked in. She pointed out the chart sale and the items that we were looking at last time that were now reduced. As if the sale wasnt enough to bring an extra ounce of joy to our shopping venture, she then offered up a glass of wine or beer. Really… c’mon what Unilocaler doesnt love a free random bevie here and there? Can customer service get any better than this?! I think the sales person said her name was Ruth, not sure but she was fantastic!
I think Little Threads and I are going steady from now on ;-)

They have higher end kids and baby clothes here, plain and simple. Lots of toys, jewelry, cards, fun things also… Moms who go to Gap and think thats expensive will not respect this store it is a boutique and therefore higher end. If you want unique children’s clothing that they MAY outgrow sooner than later but it will hold up well for the time being this is what you will find here. Got the girls friend’s some birthday presents here and spent $ 60.00.
Owner was here that day and was helpful, she also had her 3 kids in the store which can be a handful if you need special attention in finding things.

Customer service — nowhere in sight! After passing by this cute shop several times, my boyfriend and I made a special trip there this past Friday (9−12−08) to purchase a coat we had seen for his niece’s 1^st bday present. We walked in, went to the coats and tried in vain to find the sizes — don’t most stores put the sizes on the large tags that hang from the clothes???
An employee passed by us, not even acknowledging we existed, much less offering us assistance. My boyfriend walked up to her to ask where the size was located, and she pulled the coat from him and quite rudely stated that it was inside on the lower seam. She did not offer any further assistance (like — «can I help you find a particular size»). Oh, and we were the only customers in the store the entire time.
So we decided we would take our $ 60 we would have spent on the coat (and of course all of future purchases for his niece and nephew) elsewhere. Shame on Little threads — I had such great expectations and you disappointed greatly!!!

A very good choice for high-​end baby junk — lots of Zutano, a great selection of Small Paul and Junk Food. Also some cute stuff from Chicago based designers like Pluto Tees and some cute stuff that I still don’t recognize — a pretty hard thing for a boutique to pull off, because it’s something I know a lot about.
Prices? They are designer prices, and that does suck ass on principle, but they are for the most part totally comparable with most other places that carry these brands, like Nordstrom and — well, a lot of the time not even here in Chicago — and they have a deep selection of it all.
There is also some vapid stuff — «My Mom Is Hot» t-​shirts and crap like that — Seriously, that mess was out of style when it tried to be there to begin with — like six years ago. Be done already! Just buy yourself therapy instead of the baby a shirt…
And, since I roll in extremes, I also love that the Village thrift store is a very short walk away, since the used stuff from here often ends up there and I am ALL about scoring a $ 30 baby tee for $ 1.50.

Yes, Little Threads has some really cute clothes. And yes, it is really expensive. But, if you’re the kind of mom, aunt, or friend that doesn’t mind paying adult clothes prices for teeny tiny baby clothes, this place is fine. Unfortunately (for my friends’ children, as well as Little Threads), I am not that kind of friend.

Little Threads is an upscale children’s boutique with some high price tags. But the prices are no higher for the same brands at similar stores, so I have to cast the dissenting vote since I have nothing bad to say about the quality of clothing, or the staff. And I think it locally-​owned, so I suggest patronizing Little Threads before the comparable children’s department at Nordstrom.
By no means would I expect my children to wear clothes this expensive on a daily basis, but it’s a fantastic place to get a unique gift for a special event (and you’d be amazed at how the value holds when these brands are sold as used on ebay). My son received an outfit when he was about two that lasted a year and a half before he outgrew it, and the fabric wore like iron despite regular machine washing.
As both the giver and receiver of clothes from Little Threads, I call it a good bet.
