I rented two different apartments from List Management over the course of(3) years. I did not know they were my «landlord» until I was signing my lease, as you do not have any personal interaction with them. Some negative key points: 1) They do not answer the phone. If you call them, someone from List Management(usually Rob or Angelo) calls you back in the next 24 hours. 2) At both apartments, they tried to withhold my security deposit for BEYONDRIDICULOUS expectations. Both times were due to the«cleanliness» of the apartment. Both times involved interior and exterior window washing, and cleaning the apartment to a professional-cleaning level of clean. After everything was wiped down/dusted/vacuumed, their expectations were NOT met. 3) We had a theft in our apartment during the last month of our lease. Two high-end electronics were stolen totaling ~$ 2,500. They were in no way helpful, nor did they care that a theft occurred on their property(i.e. they did not come to see if there had been a break-in or anything). I’m not saying anything further. 4) They do not reveal any information at all besides first names, and all in all I just felt like I was dealing with a very sketchy business. Some positive key points: 1) They’re minimally invasive. If you’re noisy or cause complaints from others, it’s unlikely they’ll do anything about it. Though the opposite holds true. 2) We did have both exterior condensing units fail in both units, and they replaced them within 3 – 4 days of us contacting them. I felt this was appropriate. I would use caution when renting from this landlord. Begin conversations very early(2 – 3 months in advance) about the return of your security deposit.
