We offer private music lessons: Guitar, piano, bass, violin, drums, hand drums, congas, bongos, Irish/​Celtic instruments, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, concertina, accordion, hammer dulcimer, tin whistle and bodhran.

We also have infant and toddler classes, group lessons for kids, and creative music for children with special needs.

History

Established in 2009.

With the blessing of former World Music Company (WMC) founder/​executive director John Devens, the spirit of the beloved neighborhood music school lives on at the new Lesson Factory Chicago, 10 936 S. Western Ave. In fact, the Lesson Department of WMC has now become the Lesson Factory.

The core group of teachers, who enriched WMC for 13 years and built a large and devoted following of students before the school closed in November 2009, is now teaching at Lesson Factory. «We put together one of the finest teaching staffs in the city,» said Devens. «The teachers were like a family, and I’m very happy everyone is still together. I also think it’s great that most of the students from World Music Company followed them to their new location. I know they will be very successful.»
