Lindsay is talented, creative, and thorough. She took a previous stylist’s disaster and completely turned it around. Between the colour, conditioning, and cut I was revitalized.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. This place uses MMA acrylic! Please do research on MMA acrylic if you haven’t! Do not get acrylic nails here. She also did a horrible job, anyway. It was uneven and when I asked her to take the excess out from under my nails, she had an attitude and still didn’t clean it up. The worse thing is I asked for liquid gel nails and she put acrylic and the no chip clear top coat and called it gel nails. My first time getting acrylics, which I didn’t ask for, and it was horrible. Ladies, save your nails!

Went in for the color cut special, and will not go anywhere else. Wonderful haircut, amazing mani/​pedi. Great color that is lasting.

I have been coming to Le and Be salon for over 3 years for haircuts and the occasional manicure or pedicure.
Lindsay is not only one of the nicest people I know, but she gives a killer haircut! Haircuts include a great shampoo with scalp massage, cut, blow dry, and style. The salon is family owned and operated and the staff always greets me by name. When I got married I brought my bridal party to Le and Be for nails and had my hair and make up done by Lindsay the day of the wedding. I normally don’t wear nail polish but occasionally get pedicures and have always enjoyed them there.

Been here a few times for coloring and have failed to write a review — what’s wrong with me?
First off, come here if you need to find a great colorist/​stylist. My girl, Lindsay is ‘thee’ woman! Not only does she give orgasmic scalp massages when you get your hair shampooed by her, she is a coloring genius! Be prepared to show Lindsay some pictures of what you are looking for because lets face it, we’re not all that great in describing what we want.
I love that Le & Be uses great products on my hair so it doesn’t damage even more like these other salons out there. I’ve gotten the balayage and peek-​a-​boo highlights with Lindsay and I absolutely love her — she’s fun/​witty and talented. Prices are definitely reasonable considering all these other salons in the Chicagoland area that can be a hit or miss. And there’s free parking directly across the street from the salon in the parking lot! #winning

Lindsay really knows hair! I absolutely recommend going there. She really knows her stuff! My mom has really thinning hair and is embarrassed about her lack of hair.(she hadn’t visited a hair salon in years) My brother was getting married so Lindsay styled her hair beautifully made her feel confident for the wedding!!!

My sister recommended this place to me & my hair was treated wonderfully by a supremely expert stylist who understands hair of all types (mine being very Puerto Rican curly with Keratin);
My hair has never looked so good and i have travelled the world over and paid $$$ for great experience.
If you are in Chicago do NOT miss this location, when i return i will definitely go back.
Honestly i still think about that hair style she performed on my hair which never behaved so well.

Walked in and got right in for a pedicure. Lee did a fantastic job and the receptionist was very cordial. He helped me choose my nail color by painting my 3 choices on his nails and showing me the results. They should spruce up the salon — a good deep clean would do wonders! And poinsettias are not good in the summer! Checking out was easy. I will be back as pedicure was excellent!

Highly recommend this nail and hair salon to everyone and anyone. I read reviews on this place and I knew everyone recommended this place for a reason! Everyone was great. For example, I am a young male whom never had a mani or pedi before. I was sort of shy and nervous at the same time. While I waited in the chair, I was asked my beverage preference. That was awesome having free coffee or tea! I was introduced to Jennifer who completed my Pedi. She was amazing and is an expert at nails/​massage. She also has a brother (only guy who works there) that is great also at pedicures! My manicure was taken care by Kong who is the brother of Lindsay (part owner) Kong is a going friendly humorous gentleman who is also an expert at nails. Best hand massage ever! Lindsay is the best at doing hair, even though I didn’t get my haircut from her. Please come visit Le and Be!!! AWESOME TO THE EXTREME!!!

I returned to do another Balayage Ombré, and as the last time, I am in love with how it came out. Lindsey is the best, and I will continue to come to her. May I mention, she gives the BEST scalp massage during the hair washing portion; very relaxing. Thank you so much Lindsey, I’m already receiving numerous complements on my hair.

Just called to see if they had an opening. The answer was «no», because «Lindsey was in last week». Ok? I’m assuming that she is the only stylist, but I have no idea because it would’ve been my first time there.
So I said no problem when is the next opening? «Next week.» and then they basically hung up.

I absolutely love this place. Its family owned and everyone of them is super nice. The place is beautiful. I’ve had my hair done here many of times as well as my nails done here. Total relaxation here just like a salon should be. You can get everything done all in one place. I’ve been coming here before they added the hair salon. Nails always come out perfect, as well as my haircut and high lights.

I have been seeing Lindsay for the last three year and have never had a bad visit. She is a color specialist with affordable prices. I love her and will never trust anyone else with my hair! Thank you Lindsay for always giving me the perfect color and cut! All you need is parking lot.

Absolutely the best pedicure I have ever had! They are not only attentive and very detailed but they ensure you are relaxed throughout your experience. I will definitely be back for a manicure!

This is exactly what I would hope for from a salon. Everyone was so caring and attentive. I felt like a princess from the moment I walked in. I am an impatient person. I HATE being stuck in the salon all day. But here was amazing! It’s very well planned out. A haircut starts with a 15 minutes hair, head, neck massage while they was your hair. Then the stylist really takes time to find out what you want. How you want your hair, not only look, but feel! Amazing! The stylist is truly gifted. I also got my eyebrows dyed and waxed. Perfection. And the experience was Sooo good that I got my nails done! Amazing! Other than my wedding, I’ve never wanted to do them because I dislike so many things about other salons. Kong killed it on my nails! They are epically gorgeous!!! AND!!! For all of this, the total was $ 73!!! What?!? Crazy! I’ll be back for sure! And you should go too. Seriously, why get treated like crap at a chop-​shop when you can be treated like royalty here.

My mom went in for a manicure… Honestly, I could have painted them better for her then they did.

I would like to preface this review by saying I’ve been to ALOT of nail salons and before moving back to Chicago had found the most perfect of them all so maybe nothing will compare. However, I DO NOT recommend this salon for nails. I can’t speak to the hair stylist as I did not have services done, but she was there with another client and seemed to be pretty attentive and knowledgeable to that client.
PROS:
They are a friendly place and had time for a walk in /​non-​appt.
They did offer me a drink, but it was in a glass. Given this is a place where dust and debris is airborn, I prefer an enclosed lid on my drink.
They had the big massage chairs and the chairs seemed to be in good working condition.
Did I say they were friendly?
CONS:
I got probably they’re ‘backup’ guy for being a walk-​in. He was terrible.
His nails were unkept and dirty — I thought I was in a nail salon?
He mumbled — I couldn’t understand a word he said
He was a poor masseuse — too fast and inconsistent, non-​attentive
He used LYSOL to «disinfect» the instruments — WTF? This is a chemical that is harmful to your health AND all he did was spray the tools in the air — no washing whatsoever — GROSS!
Poor painting job — I will have to redo myself again at home
Lotion used smells like grandmas old perfume — I’ve scrubbed my hands 3 times and can’t get the scent to dissipate.
He filed my nails with a used nail file — Absolutely should not happen.
The jar of tools had that blue solution in it and the bottom of the glass looked like a science experiment.
Their floor and surrounding equipment was dusty and dirty. While it might be regularly swept, you could tell it was not regularly scrubbed clean. I was grossed out during my whole visit.
I cannot believe they’re still doing nails. For someone that has gotten infected nails twice by salons — this one ranks second to last on my list of nail salons and I would not be surprised if another one came my way after this visit.
I really like to give small businesses a chance and know a business like this is hard to maintain, but if you can’t do it, then you should be in another business.
I canceled my third service because the whole experience just grossed me out — I had to leave.
While they were nice, nice doesn’t keep your salon clean. #grossedout

The first time I went here, I was a little skeptical since it seems almost invisible. I had no idea it was there and I literally live within walking distance. But I must admit, I am very happy I went. They were very helpful with picking out the right shade I wanted for my nails.
Since my fist time, I’ve been back a few times and I don’t plan on going to any other places soon.

If I could, I’d only go to Lindsay for hair cuts everytime. Too bad, I do live 2k mi away from Chicago. Why the rave about Lindsay?! Lindsay take the time to ask you what you want, explain what she plan to do for your cut, and she just make it look so darn easy each time! She’s one of those professional hair stylists that really know what she’s doing with her clients, hair types, and tools!
