This place is great. It’s cheap and the food is good! The make a great Chicago hot dog, and their mozzarella sticks are good too. Generous portions for how cheap they are and they have good shakes. Best for carry out though.

Great little sandwich place with a good variety, inexpensive prices, and friendly staff. I’ve liked everything I’ve had, especially the breaded steak sandwich and chicken wraps.

The food Herr is really good. I suggest you try the Gyros or Gyros Tacos awesome! Prices are affordable and there everyday Chicago Style Hot Dog is only $ 1 They have excellent shakes freshly made with real ice cream the old fashion way which is a treat no shakes are pretty mixed and poured out of a machine

They get a whopping 1 star from me. Not only is everything over priced, it’s not very good either. The workers look and act like they are miserable being there, and during a rush, lack any and all friendly communication. Their beef is soggy and their hot dogs are rubbery. If you want a good beef, go to Pops on 103rd& Kedzie.

After passing this place to and from work, I finally broke down and gave it try. I should have kept going! This place served me the messiest hot dogs that I have ever had dined on. This is the second place where they often a hot dog and then a Chicago style hot dog at a higher cost. I find this to be a disturbing trend. The hot dog has all the ingredients that should be on a hot dog, plus a heavy dose of celery salt. The problem was that was so much wet ingredients that the hot dog broke through the bottom of the bun. Thank god I sat near the napkin holder and I went though a whole bunch of them. On the plus side, I opted for the hot dog special and got a fairly good size tray of fries with the order. The special set me back about seven dollars and some change, a bit much. There are other places in the area were you can get the same thing for five dollars.

Don’t take the three stars as a negative interview. As far as Chicago-style hot dog and italian beef huts goes, this place fits the bill. Its cheap, greasy, and tasty. Nothing really stood out as being fantastic, hence why this place isn’t taking any more stars from me. Its a neighborhood place great for a quick bite. I will say that for a beef and hot dog hut, this place is exceptionally clean which is a welcome change and makes the whole experience very enjoyable.

I had high expectations walking into this place, but was very disappointed after finishing my meal. I ordered a cheese burger and fries and the total was under $ 5 which I was pleased with. After just a 5 minute walk home, my fries were cold(I actually had to re-heat them) and the bottom bun was so soggy I couldn’t eat it. While the meat was good the quality of everything else was lacking.

I was wondering when something would happen with that little shack at 111th& Pulaski. I was excited to see a new option for Beef in the neighborhood. I was expecting more. The parking lot was completely full and we had to wait for a spot. The beef here is just okay. It is not the juiciest, nor is it the tastiest I’ve had. The meat was a pale gray color, I guess to reflect the taste. The portions were also very small. I ate my beef sandwich, and an order of gravy bread and was not full. In the few blocks it took me to drive home, my beef was cold, the mozz cheese was still in slice form because it had not melted. The fries are your standard frozen crinkle cut, not impressed. What was great was the gravy bread. Absolutely delicious, and unlike the beef sandwich, had a lot of flavor. I will absolutely go back for a few orders of $ 1 gravy bread! To give you some perspective of this review, I’m not impressed with Pop’s or Marco’s either. Pepino’s, formerly of Cal City and now in Schererville, IN, is the ultimate beef sandwich, and like a lot of IL residents, I still drive out there for my beef fix.

Decent food, clean enviroment –friendly workers. Beef is decent but Marco’s on 111th near Western is WAY better. THey make theirs home-made on premises and totally outshines this place. I would go back for a hot dog but head to Marco’s for a beef.
