Laksmi Jewelers has a good collection of 22 KT gold jewelry for the jewelry needs of a South Asian bride. Bargain! Bargain! Bargain! You must bargain to get a reasonable price. I went with my fiancée to shop here for our wedding. The sales lady, named Seema, asked $ 40 per gram and the market value for that day was $ 35.11. The attitude of Seema was not good either. I think they would expect you to buy if you enter their store. I am not sure why they have this kind of mentality. This goes for most of the stores on Devon Ave.
This store accepts most of the major credit cards but American Express. They also mail the merchandise out of state to avoid the high Chicago sales tax.

Nice jewelers to go to. They have a huge selection. Most of their stuff is 24-​karat gold and very flashy and big. But they do have a really nice selection of wedding bands and rings. One thing to keep in mind is that if you pay them cash, they’ll usually knock 10% off the price… pretty neat!
