History

Established in 2003.

Dr. Daniel Varanauski, DN is the founder and owner. He is a Illinois State Licensed and Board Certified Naprapathic practitioner; licensed to provide manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and licensed nutritional counseling.

He is the founder of both Lakeshore Naprapathic Wellness Center and Lakeshore Integrative HealthCare, Ltd. His specialty is connective tissue and musculoskeletal pain disorders, sports injuries, repetitive injury & stress-​induced conditions

Dr. Varanauski’s gentle and comprehensive approach to health encompasses two decades of experience and utilizes a variety of integrative healing modalities including traditional manual medicine, laser therapy, deep tissue massage techniques, and nutritional and stress management counseling to bring about optimal balance and well-​being.

His concept for healthcare is to integrate the best practitioners in each of the physical medicine specialties to offer the patient the best chance for healing in a multidisciplinary form

As I entered Lakeshore Integrative HealthCare’s lobby for the first time, I was welcomed and greeted with a smile. The facilities are stylish, modern, and clean. Everyone was friendly and polite.
My appointment with Dr. Reed (see my separate review) provided me with much comfort as I knew I was now in very good hands on my road to wellness.
I wish I found this place sooner!

Dan the man, has a unique approach since he not only treats your principal issue but also the underlying issues. His touch is both therapeutic and rehabilitative. He is not one of those docs who pushes packages or makes you see him week to week simply because it would line his pocks. Would rather see you cured. Moreover he listens to his patients issues with compassion and thinks outside of the box.
i have back issues where my discs and mussels get rotated out of place. Using gentle manipulation and no cracking or smacking he puts my back, back into place. He even sometime puts a dislocated rib or sacrum back where it belongs. I also developed issues with my hand/​wrist and a doctor wanted to perform do surgery but with laser treatment, manipulation I feel better.
As a woman I felt completely conformable and safe with him from day 1.
As a student on a budge I think his rates are fair though I have not checked around since I would not see anyone else in Chicago but Dr. Dan. For 100 $ he spends an hr with you in which he spends the entire time in the room treating you. He varies his treatment for each person’s needs and your own needs each time you come in.
He is a family man and is generally an honorable human being. One time I had a rash and he consulted with this MD in his office and gave her a cut of what I gave him. I was surprised when Dr. Dan did not charge me more $ to make up for the loss. Guess he cared more about me as as his patient then making as much $$$ as he could for this particular section.
Tynina the office manger (sorry about the spelling) keeps the office clean calls u back within 24 hours Appointments are made with ease and he takes credit cards. You may also book online. They have a nice waiting room with water, coffee and tea available for free. I don’t read magazines but there sure are a lot of them in the waiting room. The location is great next to red line, bus, and cafes like Starbucks.
Sometimes he runs a tiny bit late but it is only because he spends a few more minutes with patients in order to make certain that they leave feeling 110%. In other words some doctors see you for the exact appointment time even if everything is not cured, Not Dr. Dan. Bottom line: Dr Dan is the man! So is his staff. Dr. Dan will make you feel better from the very 1st appointment you have with him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Dan twice a week since July and I wish I’d started going to him years ago! In June 2010, I developed plantar fasciitis, or a torn tendon, in my foot. If I had started going to Dr. Dan then, I’m sure he would have provided wonderful treatment and taught me how to take care of the injury so it wouldn’t get worse. Instead, I went to a podiatrist. She gave me expensive inserts and taught me nothing, so the injury went away — but came back with vengeance a year later (right before my wedding).
Now, I’ve got Dr. Dan and its getting better. I still have a long way to go, but I know he cured my friend’s plantar fasciitis and I know he’ll cure mine too. For good!

Dr. Dan is extremely compassionate and very interested in his patients’ well being. His office has a variety of options for care for physical therapy and naprapathy, which is kind of like Chiropractic medicine with lots more options. He goes the extra mile and is truly knowledgable about lots of ways to approach pain and limited movement. Plus he is covered by lots of different kinds of insurance. I’ve been going for about 4 years (I have long term chronic pain issues) and my quality of life is much better as a result.

Dr. Dan (yeah… he likes to be called that) is a great guy and does magical things. These guys work hard for their money. Also, they seem to have every type of related medicine in this shop. Good find.

I began physical therapy here shortly after I broke my leg and had surgery. I had a tibial plateau fracture and was on crutches for almost two months. Not only was Dr. Dan very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating but the physical therapists — Liz and Adam were awesome! They both pushed me to get back to normal quickly. They have great hours and lots of times available after 5 to work around work schedules. I would recommend this to everyone — well worth reviewing!
