Lacoste Boutique-Chicago Twenty Four

Ever since I found out they carry my hard to find size here… a «10L» I have been here monthly to pick up a bunch of stuff!
They have to many colors available, that I always take a long time. It usually goes like this…
Me: — What colors do you have in this size.
Them: — We will be right back.
Then I decide between them and choose the one’s I want. They always suggest other items that I would love and they are so patient and accommodating.
My favorite salesperson here is Nicholas. His customer service can not be beat.

People here are very helpful. Wanted to get a couple Polo shirts that weren’t a single color and the girl helping me was extremely helpful. She went into the back and started pulling out shirts with patterns. She found me some very nice shirts and I ended up getting 2 of them. Price was about $ 60 – 80 /​shirt. Service overall was very good.

I have liked Lacoste and the quality of their fabric for a long time. My review focuses on this particular shop.
While I was shopping there, staff actually argued and complained about each other among themselves which customers were fully aware of. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because I wanted the particular item I chose, I stayed it out and made my purchase, but I wanted to leave as soon as possible. Hope it improves for their business.

I agree with Esther Y. Lacoste did write the book on casual summer wear, but I don’t believe that gives their bitter, underachieving retail staff carte blanche on mocking, gossiping amongst themselves, or otherwise berating customers who don’t shut up and buy everything handed to them. I’m sticking with on line purchases after one too many negative experiences with their staff, particularly at this location. Here’s my last exchange: «So, just the one polo then?» says the little man with the eye liner. «Yes, that’ll do,» I reply already feeling somewhat self conscious. To explain myself I lean over the register and whisper, «You know, I actually just bought three polos for my wife on line so we don’t need any more today.» (Here I was thinking he’d appreciate my little secret or maybe the fact that his own employer earned some additional sales from me recently.) «Well, that doesn’t help us at all,» he sneers, looking over at his coworker. He adds for further effect «that doesn’t count!» His coworker smirks and slinks away. This was the same guy who insisted their sale ended Sunday and it looks like it’s still going on even today. Yes, I won’t be back.

I like Lacoste clothes, but prefer them to buy them in a department store or on their online store. The staff at this location are rude. I’m sorry I am not aware of EVERY collection of EVERY season… a simple no, we don’t have that shirt would be fine. I mean really… do I need to be chastised b/​c I don’t work there? No thanks. I’m done with you.

I would say 3.5 stars would be more accurate. The shop is small but brightly lit and meticulously maintained. The staff is typically friendly and since the store is never exactly booming w/​business, the staff to customer ratio is typically 2:1. Unfortunately, their men’s line is much more appealing than the line of basics for women.
If you should happen to purchase an item as a gift make sure to pick up a giftbag somewhere. Trying to wrap their odd shaped boxes is like practicing origami!

I heard that Lacoste Fanny Packs are the big new thing in France. I can’t wait for that trend to sweep the US.

I love Lacoste. When I am in the mood to be preppy usually Lacoste will satisfy that desire. I love their shirts and they also have some comfortable shoes. Its even better when they have sales!

A little too preppy for me, and personally I’m not a big fan of the alligator logo but sometimes you can get good basics here and its definitely good quality clothing
