La Huasteca Restaurant specializes in the «Hidalguense» cuisine. Considered one of the best cuisines in Mexico do to the fact of its unique seasoning and preparation of all the ingredients that have been used by our ancestors for many generations. With a gastronomic influence of Spanish, English, and primarily the tradition of our indigenous ancestors we have been able to achieve a very unique taste in all our «Hidalguense» dishes.
History
Established in 2008.
La Huasteca Restaurant opened in January 2008 under Ay Caramba Mexican Grill in Lyons, IL. It was founded by Jorge Luna who is a third generation cook from Pachuca Hidalgo, Mexico. In March 2011 he decided to come to the city of Chicago knowing that he will have a better exposure of his unique Mexican cuisine from his hometown state of Hidalgo, Mexico.
