Ha, what a joke!!! Just got a mystic spray tan. Im glad Im not going anywhere warm where Id wear more revealing clothes. First of all, the machine doesn’t tell you to turn around, so don’t wait for that. Secondly, you wont be able to breath while getting spray tanned. You’ll feel a little suffocated. Apparently I inhaled the solution and still feel a little bit in my throat. I just blew my nose, it was all brown. Other than that, it doesn’t spray below your calves and when I got out, the solution was literally dripping down my legs. The girl did tell me I have to dab myself dry because the machine won’t do it. But the dripping needed more than just a little bit of dabbing. Also I wasn’t prepared to still feel sticky hours after the spray tan. The girl who works there was friendly, not very knowledgeable, but that’s alright. Also she didn’t really know what to do with my feedback. Im sorry, Im not coming back for the mystic spray tan.

I’m a fan of LA Tan but for some reason this location is awful. The customer service here is awful. There needs to be a manger here, I’ve had problems every single time I’ve come to this location. The girls always have to call management or the owner and still even then the situation doesn’t get resolved where someone has to come in. If you don’t mind the rudeness and having to wait an extra 20 mins on your tan time then come on in. The only perk is the Tuesday $ 5 tans

I am not sure why people are complaining about this place. It’s as good as the other LA tans, and nobody is unfriendly. The only problem with it is that the stand-up rooms are very small & there’s not much space to get ready. Also, the Soltron XL Chill(one of the best beds) doesn’t give me the same tan it used to because I think they have different bulbs in there now. Also, i was reading on TanTalk that the acryllic is NOT supposed to look like that on the bottom(like cracked ice). It’s also not cold like it used to be. The ergoline 600 at Xsport is colder, and it doesn’t even have real AC… just strong fans. The level 2 stand ups in LA tan salons(with LA tan bulbs) are pretty much the best beds anywhere if you have skin like mine(from the normal sun I typically turn red then tan later… and I will burn… I have no olive tones) — I get kind of orange & fake looking in the higher powered UVA beds(the ergoline at xsport) & I never burned in a Level 2 as long as I did a few Level 1 sessions first and built up to it. I haven’t needed to try a level 3. Also, the maximum times here are shorter than other LA Tans even though the beds are the same… and nobody seems to know why. It’s strange. Oh, parking is $ 4 an hour on the street in front(typical for old town)…so add that if you drive. Update: Ok — as much as I love LA tan — I have to be honest, the bed at xsport gave me a way better than than the soltron & it was almost half the price. It’s the ergoline 650 I think… or 600(not the one with facial tanners only). The tan from the stand ups here is still really good, but it fades faster than the xpsort bed. I built a base here mostly & then continued at xsport. When I’d use the soltron, I wouldn’t notice anything — even after 2 days. This used to be my favorite bed — not sure what happened.

Eww, this place is so dirty, hair flying everywhere in tanning booth, dust filled vents/fans! And the rudest employees, I tried to bring my concers to little girl at the desk, and she shrugged and replied, «yea they’re hard to clean» umm no, considering I have been to many different salons, this was by far the worst!!! I did let corporate know, but I wanted to alert any walk ins to walk away!!!

I go here on tuesdays for the $ 5 tans. I’m trying to cut back on tanning, so I don’t need a monthly package. This place is nothing special but it gets the job done. If you go after 6 on tuesday there can be a bit of a wait.

I was drawn in by the large sign out front that says new clients get $ 50 worth of free tanning. I have a wedding coming up and I’ve been staring at this sign, while waiting for the North Avenue bus, for the past couple of weeks. I was a little apprehensive walking in. I tried spray tanning at a couple of places and some of the workers can be a bit snobby. Not here though! I explained to the wonderful counter girl that I wanted information on the promotion and that I had never been tanning in a bed before. She was very helpful and even assisted me in picking out a lotion. She suggested the stand-up bed for me and showed me how everything works. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience. My only regret is that I didn’t catch her name. But I plan on going back again this week so hopefully I’ll get it.
