History

Established in 2006.

Beginning in 2006, our first dog walking client was a wonderful adopted beagle-​mix dog named Canyon. We bonded like family, and enjoyed 2 years together, spending many wonderful times together.

Since then, our goal has been to provide family-​like care and love for the animals entrusted to us. Pets are part of our families, and are extremely important to us. They have a definite positive effect on our lives and our well-​being. The care you would want for your pet is exactly what you will receive. We are not just a business, we are your pet’s «2nd Family.»

Business Owner

After working in corporate America, in an unstable field of credit, my entire department was «down-​sized.» I seized the opportunity to do what I really love and was meant to do, instead of an unfulfilled life «job hopping» in a corporate career. I took a trip to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT, and then began my work with pets.

I am much more involved with animals than just a Pet Sitting Service. I volunteer with rescues, take in and sometimes rehabilitate needy animals, and foster dogs on occasion. My life revolves around helping animals, and my business simply supports this love of animals and helps give my clients peace of mind that they are entrusting their pets with the most loving, honest, and complete care available.

Hands down, Andrea is the best pet sitter ever. Seriously.
I have two chihuahuas who are a little over protective of me, and my male dog is a little aggressive to strangers. When he met Andrea for the first time, she was down on the ground giving him pets and he was giving her kisses. She is seriously amazing, as he has NEVER done this with anyone. Unfortunately I moved out of Chicago, and no longer have Andrea watching my dogs. I wish I was having an easy time finding a replacement, but that is not the case. My little guy gave the new pet sitting company quite a show, and now they are scared to watch him. Never the case with Andrea. We miss her sooooo much! If you are looking for a pet sitter, she is seriously awesome. Use her services!

I was referred to Andrea by the last people who watched my previous cat but are no longer in business, as she now watches their brood.
I was nervous about leaving my new girls, I had just rescued them from the shelter, and one of them was on some medicine to control her IBD.
Andrea was fantastic! She texted me updates, and I really felt that they were being taken care of so I didn’t need to worry. I got to see pics of them being their cute selves, and it seems like they got lots of play time in. Andrea is also certified in Pet First Aid, and can give meds and injections.
The true test was when we got home, and they seemed chill and happy. I will certainly use her again, and totally recommend her.

Andrea’s the best!
When a previous cat sitter bailed on us at the last minute, we needed a cat sitter with very little notice… we were leaving the next day for a week-​long vacation! We were able to contact Andrea immediately, she did a quick visit to our apartment that very evening, and agreed to sit for our 3 cats! What a lifesaver!
Andrea is very attentive and thorough. She ensures that your pets are very well cared for. She keeps you updated through texts and emails (with pictures!), so you know your pets are happy!
I trust her completely. It’s so nice that I never have to worry about my cats when I leave Chicago. What more could you ask of in a pet sitter?

Oh my god, this woman is amazing.
Officially she is walker and sitter to my dogs, but really she is like a second mom. She provides so much more than I thought I was getting when I signed up for dog walks/​care. She notices when little things are off with my pooches, make recommendations on food, allergies, whatever. While I was out of town once, both dogs got very sick (an event I like to call Diarrhea-​gate 2010) and Andrea immediately took them to the vet (not to mention cleaned up an awful lot of poo without complaint). She even sends me photos and videos of my dogs being adorable. Everything is just so much easier with her help.
Plus Andrea lurrrves animals («much more than people” – ha!), and is unwaveringly devoted to their well-​being. She rocks!

Andrea has never let us down when we call on her to check in on our 2 kitties. One of them is a bit of a handful (used to go on hunger strikes when we left, very moody); Andrea would email us frequently about her status and even send us quick photos. She can handle Stan (our large, lowkey dude) and Emma (our temperamental but affectionate once you know her) like they were her own. We’ve thrown her curveballs and had some misunderstandings (our fault) and she’s been terrific to work with. We highly recommend Andrea.

Andrea is an amazing dog walker. If you need walking or sitting or whatever, Andrea is wonderful. My dog is very difficult, and there have been more than a couple of times where she had to go above and beyond. Once he got the ring of his leash caught in his paw, and was like that when Andrea came to my house. He is a difficult dog, and gets angry quickly. But Andrea whet in there and somehow released the caught paw from the leash and they were able to go on a walk. There have been times when I felt she took better care of my dog than I did. She is truly a gift. Lucky is your animal to have Andrea tend to him or her.

For the last three years Andrea has sat for our cats Rod Beck and Janet Jackson and it has been absolutely great dealing with her. She’s flexible, reliable and absolutely loves animals. One time when we were exchanging new keys she even picked us up at Trader Joes with our groceries and drove us home. We always new our cats were well taken care of in our absence and know they loved having her around when we weren’t. Andrea is absolutely the best!

Andrea is wonderful with my 2 cats and 1 dog. Incredibly contentious, reliable, and thorough with her care. She’s sat for my kitties when I’ve been out of town, and I’ve gotten updates and texts to calm my nervous-​mother mind. Which is most appreciated!
In addition to providing excellent pet sitting (cats, dogs, rabbits, whatever furry friends you have), she also opens up her home and provides boarding as well as pet sitting. Somehow, homeless animals find their way to her, and she works relentlessly to rescue animals and help them find better homes. Andrea also has provided hospice care for animals who otherwise would have no advocate.
I can’t think of any other qualities that I would want in someone who cares for my pets (who are my babies) that Andrea does not have. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone with four-​legged creatures!

She opens her home to not only her clients pets but to rescues too. She often takes on the hard to handle cases, like the hospice case of Muffin.

Andrea provides a wonderful service. She welcomed my very high maintenance, but sweet, 18 year old dog into her home. She is very caring and attentive — and checks in with you regularly, or as much as you would like. She made my dog part of her family, which is really comforting to know when I am out of town.

Andrea does a good job pet sitting. She is thorough and interested in your pets, she doesnt treat this as just some job. Communication is good, and even though there was a little mix up with a lock one time she rectified the situation quickly and without any stress on my part. I travel frequently throughout the year and plan on using her often. Her prices are very good as well!

Andrea took great care of my two kitties (one special needs-​ish) on short notice over the holiday week, including coming to my home for keys and introductions on a Friday night. She gave me updates, including posting pictures of my happy cats online. A great touch.
