Ailments treated, but not limited to: lumbar/​thoracic/​cervical disc herniations, SI joint pain, ACL rehab pre & post-​op, rotator cuff repair, sciatica, shoulder impingement, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, IT band/​patello-​femoral syndrome, cervicogenic headaches, multiple sclerosis (MS), vestibular rehab, post-​op rotator cuff surgeries, stroke, spinal cord injury, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) etc. I have also researched the McKenzie Method (a comprehensive approach to treating spinal issues) and was clinically trained in its techniques as a student. Please contact me if you have questions regarding your ailment prior to the appointment.

I am clinically trained in muscle energy, muscle-​activation, joint mobilization, Maitland, Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and craniosacral techniques.

Modalities that I may provide depending on the course of rehab are heat, TENS, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, ultrasound, iontophoresis, heat, and cold packs.

Pool/​aquatic therapy offered at home or gym by request only.

History

Established in 2009.

Renato graduated in 2001 from physical therapy school. He has worked throughout the United States via contract assignments in the Veterans’ Administration (VA) system, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, non-​profits, skilled nursing facilities as well as several outpatient sports-​medicine facilities.



Spanish-​speaking patients can feel comfortable with Hess’s ability to obtain a proper history and run physical therapy sessions entirely in Spanish without an interpreter. Hess worked for months teaching English and providing physical therapy in San Carlos, Costa Rica through Cross-​Cultural Solutions at and Hogar de Anciones and CAIPAD, a facility for disabled adults that teaches skills to integrate them into the community.

ACCEPTING: Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Medicare, Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA), United Health Care and a reasonable fee-​for-​service. No HMO’s at this time

PARKING: Free in the residential side streets between 9am-​6pm. Free in the parking lot behind BoConcepts depending on the reservation times on the stated signs. Otherwise, street parking is readily available. Handicap parking is also available in the back parking lot. We have an elevator and handicap accessible bathrooms.
