Dr. Hauser was a referral from my regular dentist. I want to get invisalign and I wanted a consultation from him. Walking into the office, the waiting room chairs seems very old and outdated. I had to make a careful decision where to sit because almost none of the seats looked good to sit on. When I went to the receptionist, I could see two dental chairs in the back of the receptionist area. Two teenagers were being worked on. It was not private whatsoever and really awkward for me to see them. After some time, I was called back into a private room. It was clearly outdated and reminiscent of a dentist room from the 70’s. Dr. Hauser was very sweet and reserved, and did a very thorough examination of my teeth. He told me I had a difficult case, and that I needed attachments (those white bumps bonded to teeth) on almost all my upper teeth. He said he could only do invisalign for my upper teeth. He then told me I had to get regular braces on my lower teeth. This was upsetting to me because I was trying to go the invisalign route. Getting an estimate from the receptionist, it seemed like a very long process was ahead. Their outdated technology would add weeks onto my treatment time, and when I asked about getting clear braces for my lower teeth, they said they don’t do clear braces for lower teeth. With this upsetting news, I called my regular dentist for another referral. I was referred to another orthodontist, closer to my home, with tons more experience (invisalign elite top 1%), and tons of new technology. With this new orthodontist, I was told I do not need attachments, I don’t need regular braces, and that I didn’t have a difficult case. I’m very happy I went with another orthodontist.

As a mother of a patient at Dr. Hauser’s clinic, i believe Dr. Kenneth S. Hauser is an unbelievably kind and gentle man. His eye for perfection in his patients smiles is what makes this clinic one of the best! Cost shouldn’t be an issue with Dr. Hauser when it comes to a patient needing braces, he sets up payment plans with his patients to make the cost of braces affordable. It’s hard to find doctors and dentists who care about their patients and not just the money they’ll make but Dr. Hauser truly cares about his patients and makes sure they’ll leave the clinic with an amazing smile! I couldn’t have found a better orthodontist clinic for my daughter!

Like Samantha S., I can’t believe there are good reviews of Dr. Hauser. Perhaps it is because they are 3 years or more out of date.
I went to see Dr. Hauser on a referral from my dentist, the fabulously awesome Dr. Marianne Schaefer (
) I probably should have listened to my gut when his office didn’t return my first three calls. Or when his office staff didn’t know how to process my insurance without the actual MetLife card — an absence that has never been a problem for Dr. Schaefer’s office, King Endodontics, or any of the other dentists or endodontists I’ve seen in the past 10 years. Or when his assistant told me that the office doesn’t make reminder calls. Or when his office waiting room was filled entirely with 14-​year-​old girls and their mothers.
Instead, I’m posting on Unilocal so that you can avoid my mistake.
My dentist sent me to Dr. Hauser to be fitted for a nighttime mouth guard. After waiting for 20 minutes in his circa-​1960 waiting room, I was led back to another room, where I waited for another 20 minutes for him to examine my jaw. Then he told me that I didn’t need braces or a mouth guard and suggested that I try some relaxation exercises and warm compresses to relieve mouth strain. Um, great. Because warm compresses are going to solve jaw-​misalignment and TMD/​TMJ. Ow, I just bit my tongue again.
Then, after this «consultation,» I stupidly took two of my children there for consultations for different issues. I booked back to back afterschool appointments six weeks out. If that wasn’t enough waiting, once we arrived, 15 minutes early as requested, we waited another 40 minutes before one of my children was called back. He waited 20 minutes in the chair before Dr. Hauser called me back to observe while he looked at his teeth. Then he told me that he needed to come back for a consultation. Um, what? Isn’t that what today’s visit was supposed to be? By this point, my 5-​year-​old was practically stuck to the waiting room ceiling, as old stuffed animals and new US Weekly issues don’t quite hold his attention. And we still had to wait for my daughter to go through, which resulted in the same 20-​minute lag time and non-​consultative consultation.
By this point, it was almost 6 p.m. and the office had emptied of metal-​mouthed teenage girls and scrubs-​clad dental assistants alike. I took the long-​suffering 5-​year-​old and his two older siblings down the street to Starbucks for an enamel-​wash of hot cocoa and cookies, and vowed not to go back.
The upside? Well, Unilocalers have got this review. And Dr. Schaefer told me yesterday at my last appointment that she is no longer referring to Dr. Hauser.

What an amazing experience! This office oozes professionalism, kindness, compassion and honesty. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Each person you come in contact with will either introduce themselves or you will be introduced to them. Dr. Hauser was very competent and definitley knew what he was talking about without soudning cocky. A gentle but knowlegable guy. The prices are indeed cheaper than other places (I checked before I went). Really nice opperation and I hope you have a great experience there as well.

Dr. Hauser is AWESOME. Gentle, patient and great bedside manner. His office is small and quaint– More homelike feeling than a cold uppity place. Workers are super sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable.
When it comes to braces he knows his STUFF! Uses the newer «Damon system» that doesn’t use rubber bands etc. Seems to be up on all the newest technology and advances in orthodontics. I really like that! He does other stuff like invisalign too.
Price is CHEAPER than what all my other friends are paying for their children’s braces. Financially they work with you and give you a payment plan you can work with.
I’m SUPER happy with him.
Highly recommended. Well on second thought I shouldn’t have let the cat out of the bag. Now it’s going to be harder to get appointments with him… LOL Oh well… I like to share when I find something great!

Best orthodontist around! Honest, reasonable. Really cares about his patients.
