Specialties
I provide individual, couples, and group counseling to adults and older adolescents. I work with a variety of presenting concerns, including individuals struggling with a loss, traumatic event, transition, adjustment, difficulty in a relationship, as well as those who are feeling generally unhappy, dealing with depression or anxiety, or are unsatisfied in some way. Because your comfort with your counselor is important, I encourage you to take the opportunity to meet with me to determine if we are a good fit. If you decide to not continue counseling with me after our first meeting, you will not be charged for that initial appointment. Feel free to contact me via phone or email with any questions.
History
Established in 2013.
I completed my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Colorado State University and moved back to the Chicago area to be closer to my family. I am currently practicing under supervision to accrue enough post-doctoral hours to become a licensed psychologist in Illinois.

I believe that the majority of change that occurs in counseling comes from developing a supportive and accepting relationship with a therapist who is genuine and honest. Your connection and comfort with your counselor is central to allowing you to take the steps you need to make the changes you want in your life.
I greatly enjoy developing relationships with others, and it is this orientation towards relationships that drew me to pursue a career as a psychologist. Some of the greatest compliments I have received from colleagues and clients include that I am real, genuine, and easy to be in a room with. These qualities help me to create a safe and collaborative environment. You can trust that as your therapist, I will be open, genuine, and most importantly, myself.
