I am writing about apartments at 14 west chestnut which is managed by K&K Management. I saw the ad for the apartment on the internet. No pics were posted, but the location was good. The description was one bedroom 800 square feet, wood floors, high ceilings. I called Annie and several days later saw the apartment. It was a slum!!! First it had poorly laid tile everywhere but the bedroom, which consisted of a small alcove with wood floors too small for even a twin bed, with a closet with no door. It faced an alley. The blinds were torn up. The walls were crinkled from water damage. Duck work had been removed but the holes were still there. The so-called living room had no window. The«kitchen» had a window which was boarded up with cardboard. The total space was no more than 600 square feet. I don’t think this place could pass the city code! Now for the best part: the rent was $ 1275!!! and the tenant pays all utilities including heat through vents in the floor that were bent. Unbelievable!!! Who are they renting to? I simply cannot believe this is permitted.
