Just Simple by JS is a Chicago-​based professional organizational company owned by Jessica Stelzer. We will help you simplify your home or office spaces and assist in the coordination of your moves. Just Simple by JS serves the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.

History

Established in 2010.

After many many years of informally organizing my house, my friend’s rooms, and the stock room of any restaurant where I worked, I finally decided to turn this hobby/​obsession into a business. In early 2010 I was stuck in a dead-​end job making next to nothing. A friend sent me a link to an article about how to create extra revenue for yourself and one of them was opening up a professional organization business. This was the sign that I needed to tell me that it was finally time to become a PO. Building my business and working with other young, local, entrepeneurs was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. In November 2010 I finally launched my web site and introduced Just Simple by JS to the world. It’s been a crazy ride ever since!

Business Owner

Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Jessica hails from a family of entrepreneurs who entrusted her with organizing their closets and cabinets at a young age. Jessica recently decided to turn to her organizational strengths after graduating from the University of Kansas and switching career paths. Organizing has always brought comfort to her life and she frequently turned to rearranging her closet or cleaning out the kitchen pantry after a bad day. Her brief stint away from Chicago also strengthened her love for the city and there is no other place she’d rather share her passion for simplicity.

Jessica is both a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (www​.napo​.net) and the Chicago Chapter of NAPO. Additionally, she has furthered her knowledge and understanding of her profession by recently obtaining a CE Certificate from Harper College in Professional Organization.

We have used Jes once a year every year right before school starts. AHHHHH, she prevents so many fights between us and the girls. The girls room get organized with a deep cleansing and donation that would not happen if Mike or I we’re to try it. My oldest is very shy and doesn’t trust anyone and she always ask for Jes. Try her, you will not regret it.

JS is an amazing person and has a great business. In 4 hours, she helped take my 4th bedroom (or should I say storage shed) to a open workable room. With her help I now have a room that is now my home office.
As I travel agent, I have an overabundance of brochures magazines and other paraphernalia that go with my business. I needed to downsize here? So I could have a good workable space. know that a lot of it needed to be thrown out, organized, or just put it in a different place. Jess helped me figure out what needed to be thrown out, got boxes together for donations, storage, or garbage. By the time the four hours were over I had an empty bookcase, and empty closet and three bins empty.
Jess will take things away the garbage, the dumpster, or to be donated. You don’t get a second chance to change your mind.
The things that I did want to keep, she help me organize them in a really good fashion, so I can easily get to them and not get overwhelmed.
I cannot say enough good things about JS. Jess’s enthusiasm, her knowledge and her passion help make an overwhelming experience pleasant with a really great outcome.

Jess is great. I haven’t used her services for my personal needs, but she did come to speak to my sorority alumnae group about organizing our homes. Her bubbly personality won over our group, and it didn’t hurt that her organizing/​cleaning tips were easy to follow. I know I have utilized two of her suggestions in my home since her discussion to our group. I’m looking forward to enlisting her help the next time I move apartments. In the mean time, my best advice is to have Jess come and speak to you and your friends so you can put her ideas in to practice!

Everyone… I had years of paper to go through, because I have a chronic pain illness. This task was absolutely daunting to me. I decided it finally had to be done, so I searched the Unilocal reviews and found Jessica. I spent 5 hours total with Jessica, got rid of two black garbage bags full of paper, and now I have a new filing system free of old stuff.
A few points:
1. I’m a perfectionist, so working with Jessica enabled me to feel less overwhelmed by the task and the need to have it completed TODAY.
2. Jessica did not push me to spend more time than I was able given my health.
3. It’s as if Jessica gave me the okay to have a memory box that wasn’t organized. She said to just throw the things in the box, so that’s what I did. And, she’s right. My memory box doesn’t have to be perfectly paper clipped and organized by year (call me crazy, but I said I’m a perfectionist!)
4. Jessica arrives early. Those of you who wait until the last minute… DON’T. No complaints here; I’m just making you aware. What a great quality :)
5. Jessica WORKS. This is not a coffee clatch to her. She concentrates and gets things DONE.
6. AFFORDABLE. Time is money; however, I have lots of time and little money. ‘Nuf said.
This was an awesome experience for me… spiritually cleansing to say the least. No more feeling weighed down by «stuff». Thank you so much, Jessica! So glad I met you, and so happy to have accomplished so much with your assistance!

Jessica did an amazing job organizing and interior decorating my apartment. She was super attentive to my needs and interests and was really responsive and prompt. Jessica took on the challenging project of organizing my very cluttered entire home from bottom to top (four floors) and has made such a difference in our home life. I run a home-​based business and have a school-​age daughter so there are a lot of things and areas with very different purposes in my home. With too much going on, I had let the clutter get ot of control. I had not even completely unpacked from a move five years ago. I interviewed a half dozen professional organizers and chose Jessica — a great decision.
Jessica immediately understood that I was looking for more than just getting my home in order as a one-​shot deal. I wanted a plan to get clutter under control as well as ways to maintain the newly organized areas long term. She accomplished amazing amounts of organizing feats during each session — helping me sort, eliminate and find a home for my various items that were cluttering my home. She was full service, providing me with written to-​dos in between visits as well as product suggestions. She educated me on organization principles and tecniques so I could keep up long term. Her recommendations were practical and had high impact quickly. She could look at an area of my home and know how to make and keep it orderly. She truly has brought order to my chaos in a sort period of time. My family and friends have noticed a big difference. No longer surrounded by home and business papers when sitting on my couch. We must have weeded out and sorted hundreds of pounds of papers, mementos and household items. Things that I have had in random piles or moving boxes for years are now stored in beautiful containers, files or folders, according to their type. Everything has a place and purpose — easy to find and maintain. I can now see the floor of my bedroom again!
I highly recommend Just Simple for full-​service organizing solutions.

Jessica helped me with a disastrous closet that needed a post-​college purge and a top to bottom reorganization. She met with me for an initial consult, provided a plan of attack and then walked me through everything that she did. Jessica doesn’t do everything for you, she coordinates solutions for home organization with her clients, thus enabling them to maintain the organizational services she provides.
Some would say she’s a home organizer, I would call her a home organization educator because four months later, the skills she taught me are still in use and my closet looks just like it did after we worked together. She is punctual, professional and encouraging throughout the home organizing process. I’m looking forward to using her services again in the future for more spaces in my apartment and for moving services.

When Jessica came over to help me, I was feeling really overwhelmed. I have a tiny, tiny closet and way too much stuff. Normally I’m pretty good at organization, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around this problem. Within minutes of her arrival, Jessica laid out the perfect plan to help de-​clutter my closet (and my life!) and bring more structure to my tiny space.
