I needed to move out of my home for a week while our home got new hardwood flooring installed, and Linda found us an excellent apartment on Sheridan Rd. not far from our home. She also recommended a great cleaning service for my dusty home when I moved back in, and we’ve been using them ever since. Whenever out of town guests ask me about staying in Chicago, I always refer them to justpassingthrough. Every single one of them has always had great things to say about the location, amenities, and Linda’s helpfulness.

I do not understand the five star reviews. It could be cleaner. I wish it were cleaner. I would not live here permanently. And the lobby always smells gross! The doors, flooring and appliances in my room indicate the age of the building and the trash shute is always full. The pictures on Unilocal did not match my room. It was okay, but unimpressive. Be sure to wash any dishes you need before using them. The microwave requires two hands to manually open, has no light and no plate inside. Also, I had two bugs in the room my first day and a third within three days. The outlet in the bathroom is unusable– I tried every angle and the prongs on my hair dryer would not insert. One should also know that there is no and I mean zero counter in the kitchen or bathroom, which is tiny. It is in a convenient location, close to everything essential, very walkable and is less than five minutes on foot to the El. It has wireless Internet and cable and a nice rooftop deck.
At $ 1,500/ month for a small studio, you are paying for location. It was easy to get to and Linda was pleasant, but an overview of the building (and more/​accurate pictures on the website) would have been nice– I wondered around and asked at the desk about building amenities– only laundry, at $ 1.50 per wash. What I was not told: you have to use a laundry card you get from a machine and the front desk does not have change, so my first time doing laundry, I had to leave my clothes in the washer and walk to a convenient store to get change, then put $ 5 in only to find out that pays for the card, but does not add any value. So frustrating. Moving forward, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I had a great stay when I decided to move to Chicago on a whim, not knowing anyone. It was great that I was able to have somewhere to live for 2 months, giving me enough time to find a permanent rental. I love the area (Old Town/​Gold Coast) so much that I ended up signing a lease for an apartment nearby. Linda is super nice, efficient, and reliable. The room was clean and fully furnished with everything and I mean everything, from pots and pans to dish soap to toilet paper, and more. Just grab your suitcase and go. Two thumbs up!

Home away from home. Great locations, near transportation, clean rooms includes amenities cable, high speed internet and air conditioning and on-​site laundry. The apartments are already fully furnished. Linda is extremely easy to deal with, she is friendly, professional and helpful and versatile. Her apartments offer comfort of home with the luxurious feel of a hotel. You can do weekly, daily or monthly rentals. I love this service!
