I’ve been to plenty o’ Jimmy Johns in my days, but this one is a little under par. Service is great, and just as fast as you’d expect from a JJ’s, but the ingredients always seem a bit off. Most concerning was how poor the bread quality was one day. Did not taste right, and was a little bit stale. Kind of odd considering how much pride JJ’s takes in their bread. Also, one day I threw up a couple hours after eating there, despite not being sick or anything else. I don’t want to blame it on the food because I wasn’t diagnosed with food poisoning or anything, but it put me on guard about that JJ’s. Despite all this I still eat there every once in a while because the location is so convenient for me and they’re just so reliably fast even during big lunchtime crowds.

It’s JJs, but I’m reviewing because it might be the fastest Jimmy John’s I’ve been to(which is like the fastest Olympic sprinter). It’s in the building where I work now, so sometimes grab a sandwich for lunch or on the way out. I have literally walked in and out with a sandwich in hand in under a minute. Usually get a #11 with sprouts!

I normally wouldn’t review a Jimmy John’s, but I feel that this location deserves a special shout-out. It is never crowded! Lunch time in River North can get crazy, but this Jimmy John’s is a haven of calm and minimal lines. Thanks for making my lunch quick, easy, and delicious, Jimmy. I’d give them 5 stars if it weren’t for that one time that they ran out of bread. That was just weird.

Service and food were, as always, speedy and tasty. However, it’s 12 degrees outside and it feels as if it’s not much warmer in here! Had to eat with my coat on, but my fingers were ice! Why are the ceiling fans on? Why was the heat not on?

Jimmy John’s has solid, consistent sammiches. I really like their bread a lot — it’s chewy and oh so delicious. This particular location can get pretty crowded, and honestly, it’s what you would expect from a Jimmy Johns.

By far the best Jimmy John’s I have ever experienced. I’ve had deliveries in as little as 10 minutes.

dear jimmy johns, please close this store down, take your staff, move them to san diego, and open up a store there so i can enjoy this place on the west coast. jimmy liautaud has not failed me again. having a beach club sandwich is just one of those things you need to do if you’re from out of town. when i walked into this spot, and already had a smile on my face, it was as if the staff knew it was going to be reunion. the guys behind the counter were super smiley and gave me again the consistent sandwich that i love. i was a happy camper, and very pleased with the staff on the efficient and great service.

Do the prices at this bland sandwich-ery bother anyone else? Bland sandwich, chips, drink = $ 10?

A Jimmy John’s close to work! Add another location to the River North Runch list! Thanks to my college days, I’ve been raised on Jimmy John’s sandwiches. I find their sandwiches to be a tasty and consistent choice versus other nationwide sandwich chains in the area. You can choose between white or wheat bread, and enjoy chips or a whole pickle as a side. Try the cookies if you haven’t, as they are a decent way to top off your meal.
