This place had my hopes up when they called me in to do another interview. After the interview the director had me to work in each classroom and then asked the teachers how well did I do. I did a great job and thought I was going to get the job. This new director claims she didn’t see my application until the previous week. I applied and interviewed in the spring of 2014. It was now summer of 2014 and they just called me. They claim that the previous director quit and that they didn’t come across my application until the previous week. After she had me interview and had me do in class work to see if my teaching skills were great, she then drops the bombshell and says all the positions are filled but I can be a substitute teacher at all 3 locations until a position opens up. I turned it down. I need full time work. That’s what I applied for and I asked why wasn’t I called after my first interview in Spring. Why wait until the positions are filled to call me. Then this place had the nerve to call me 3 months later still asking me to be a substitute. I again made it clear not to call me unless they’re offering a full time position. That was very unprofessional of them to call me, have me do work in the classroom, s and then tell me all the positions are filled. It was very unprofessional of them to not be able to find my application after this previous director quit. They wasted my time. Don’t have me do all this work and get my hopes up and then tell me the positions are filled and tell me that I can be a substitute.

My son has been at Jolly for four years and within those four years everything has been just fine. The teachers have all been pleasant (some more than others). The location can use some TLC and hopefully will get some in the near future. This is a very convenient location for me and the best in the area. The biggest downfall is that they no longer except credit card. This means check or money order only. We are in 2015 and all my bills are paid electronically so this is a big inconvenience for me.

My son attended JFH when he was two. The teachers are wonderful; very nurturing, kind, and attentive to my son’s needs. If I only dealt with the teachers, I would have kept my son at JFH until preschool… unfortunately, I had to deal with the owner, Gigi:-(The best word to describe Gigi is AWEFUL! She is rude, condescending, and completely obnoxious. After my first encounter with her, I made it a point to NEVER talk to her. After speaking with my son’s teacher about my concerns with Gigi, she also told me that the staff has serious issues and a high turnover-​rate because of Gigi and her bullying tactics. Please, do yourself a favor and find another care provider for your child!

When we lived in Illinois. My kids have always loved this school! Great teachers and administrators. Fabulous Summer programs for all ages! Clean & safe facility!

There are three locations in total, on addison, irving, and mount prospect. I fell in love with the staff at the Norridge location. They are wonderful. Unfortunately, the paperwork skills of the staff hired was HORRIBLE. Paperwork is mainly done at the Addison location. I first went to Jolly Fun for the bus, to take my girls to school. I also continued to go to them through Camp, love the camp. I stopped using the bus service due to the problems I was having with the paperwork. They lost checks of mine, I always had to show proof and call to complain about my «money» not being noted or put into the right account. I continued to use the camp service because my girls loved it. This year was the worst. I pay one lump sum to last for 2 months with the amount I pay. I then give the remainder of the amount owed before the money is used up from the previous amount given. I hate oweing money, i’d rather pay ahead. I was phonede one morning by a «messenger» telling me I owe, a large amount of money and need to pay by tomorrow. BUt could not give me any additional info they didnt have it available. I was furious, who tells you that you owe money but can’t tell you exactly why because the information is not ready. I didnt receive all the information until later in the day after calling to demand it faxed to me, all of my records of payment. I found many many errors in their paperwork. I found they were trying to litterally screw me out of $ 500 because of their paperwork errors. I was done with constantly doing their work and my husband and I decided to pull them out. This was just a reoccuring problem. I wrote a letter to the owner explaining their faults and attached all paperwork and proof they were once again wrong. I wrote a letter because when I get angry I sometimes nice things is not what comes out of my mouth but comes out better on paper. I received a phone call days later from the owner apologizing about the entire account of mine being «tampered» with. She asked when it would be the last day for my girls, but I advised her they haven’t been there all week. They were already taken out, She would review my account and I would probably be receiving a refund, that I was not counting on. I received another call saying my check was ready to come and pick it up. When i arrived the apologetic owner had a fake Hi to me and didn’t want to acknowledge me further. After I reviewed the statement they provided, I couldn’t believe but wasn’t surprised it was wrong. I was charge for the week my children we not even there. But I give up, I will never be returning or referring to the facilties they have. It is ridiculous to run a business and not have your paperwork straight. I wonder how many other families are having trouble with their paperwork, hopefully they are paying attention and not getting screwed out of their own hard earned money. Take it from me and the other Post, keep looking. I have another baby on the way and I will not even consider returning to Jolly Fun.

I don’t know anyone who works here and i’m glad because everyone that works there are a bunch of miserable souls. My kid went there for two years and it was awful. The curriculum the way they bill you all was crappy, Once I went to help out for some thing they put together. I was outside in the back setting up some tables and this 2 year old was shadowing me. When I asked someone if this little guy should be outside they were all like oh no he’s not. So alarms went off. My kids jacket was stolen. But the most important thing the biggest thing is that he didn’t learn anything. When I asked my son who is now ⁴¹⁄₂ if he would miss his school he simple said. Na, that place smells disgusting. So in all, if you live in this area I wouldn’t go with jfh. There’s a newer school a few blocks up the street. I can’t say if its good but it’s new and thats better then old and smelly. Also there’s more to the iceberg then it’s tip I could write more but this is good enough…
