Jerome is not only a professional and charismatic guy, he is also a fantastic at finding apartments! I called him on a cold Sunday morning after looking through his website. I thought, «I’m sick and tired of searching through endless apartments sites, maybe he can help.» And I was right! After hearing my specs, Jerome immediately told me that he had 3 – 4 places in mind. Then he was able to squeeze us into his busy schedule the very same day! I was very grateful for this because I was thinking of closing on a place that I saw the previous day.
My roommates and I jumped at the second apartment we saw. While the first was still a fantastic place, we were a bit hesitant at the internet service (low speeds) and living room space. After hearing a more detailed description of what we wanted, Jerome’s second apartment showing was gold! We signed for the apartment right after the tour without even seeing the other places.
Jerome is professional, and listens to what you want. He didn’t try to convince us that this place was the best deal. He gave great insight on what was available and didn’t show us anything out of our price range. I highly recommend him because he made apartment hunting extremely easy and fun!

This is the second year in a row I’ve worked with Jerome. He makes it too easy to find an apartment… I almost feel guilty when I hear the tough times other people have when trying to find a place.
You email him with your specs — and he sets up a showing of several places in your range. He picks you up – and both times, I had an apartment within an hour.
He’s professional and listens. He did not try to up-​sell me. I appreciate that!

I’ve worked with a lot of different professionals during my career, but Jerome is one in a million. Not just as a real estate professional, but as a person he is very easy to work with, personable and most importantly he listens and tries to help you find what you want and need in a place to live. I’m originally from Chicago but have lived elsewhere for the last ten or so years. Came back two years ago and needed a place in a hurry.
Jerome’s service sent us emails automatically with places that came on the market with our requirements, which made for a great, easy, convenient way to keep up with changes and new places without wasting a bunch of time looking at places we’ve already seen and disregarded.
We were looking for a Chicago brownstone in Lincoln Park. He took us around to a few that were within our price range, and after viewing a few and being really not into them, Jerome suggested we stray a bit from the «Chicago brownstone in Lincoln Park» idea and take a look at a place completely different. On the way he mentioned that he noticed our reactions to various aspects of each place we’d seen, and based on that recommended the place we were headed. He took us to a high rise in the gold coast — completely different than what we though we wanted. And bingo! The place was perfect. In our price range, gas stove, windows that open, near the lake — the works!
About two years later (now), we decided it was time to buy. We went right away to Jerome. Again, we received emails automatically with places that met our requirements. This time, that was even more helpful since my wife and I were both so busy with work and didn’t want to waste our time looking through Zillow, etc, full of places that have already been sold.
We checked out a few places. Jerome was on time, gave us rides, and was honest about things we should look for. Not a single time did we feel he was eager to just close the deal and move on. We wound up finding the place that was just right for us not long after we started our search (maybe a month? two?).
As first time buyers, having Jerome on my side was invaluable. From times when I was nervous about the seller hiding information about damaged HVAC, to when I was trying to make sure we were getting the best deal, to when I quite frankly wasn’t even sure what kind of loan we should get, Jerome replied within minutes with a to-​the-​point, honest answer. Seriously, this guy made the whole process unbelievably less stressful.
We closed last week, and move in next Thursday. Can’t wait!
Update: our sublet bailed on us, and Jerome has been helping us with finding a new one. No commission, no reason to help, but still, he’s helping!

I cannot think of a more unprofessional man than Jerome Bressert. After replying to an apartment ad, he was prompt at getting back to us in the morning, exchanging several emails with my boyfriend. Sometimes in a larger building the prices vary, but this seemed more like a scam. The prices were NOT similar at all to the ones listed and certainly nothing like the one we were inquiring after. He then got short with us, as though annoyed that we were inquiring after the price listed in the ad. He asked some valid and some completely invalid questions. «What do you want to live there for!?» His manner was first apathetic, then rude. When he finally got around to asking the relevant question of whether or not we had a dog (to which the ad made no reference) we told him we had a small terrier. To which he said «I’m not dealing with this.» And hung up the phone.
What a gem. As though looking for your new dwelling isn’t stressful enough, having to deal with first an apathetic, then downright rude, and finally aggressively rude realtor sure does take your worries away.
