I know absolutely nothing about paint, I walked in, told them what i needed and they took over. I was shown and taught what the differences in paint types and what is traditional in each area of the house. Great color selections with color matching on site. I walked in a complete newb and walked out slightly better. lol. They helped tremendously for my small bedroom(s) project.

Everyone here is ultra helpful and unpretentious, no matter your skill level. They do all my color matching for stains and lacquer and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Epco Supply has moved to 4230 W. Irving Park Rd. The old store(now closed) was slightly further east at Irving Park Road and Pulaski. I’ve been in both stores, and this new one is much nicer. The old store seemed too small for the amount of products they had, and the shelves seemed cramped and close together. And the old store was in an older building that was pretty dirty. This new store is clean, organized, spread out and modern. There’s a section for demonstrations, and there are plenty of registers(at least four) available to ring up customers. Also, this location has a parking lot, whereas the old store only had street parking, which was metered. I was in Epco the other day to buy paint for our new home, which is in desperate need for a fresh coat of paint. We bought nine gallons of three different colors, and they prepared our order as we waited. We also got a huge five-gallon bucket of ceiling paint. It took about 20 minutes, but at least we didn’t have to come back. And the guy helped load the paint into our car. I’ve used Benjamin Moore paint before, and I’m always really happy with how it coats. I especially like their Ben line of paints, which is a really good, inexpensive paint. I used it on my first condo, and it looks great. I especially like their Affinity Colors pallet. It’s designed so that you can pretty much combine any of the Affinity colors together, and they will look great. I’ve used Affinity color combinations in both of my condos, and I’ve been really happy with the results. I definitely recommend buying paint or supplies from Epco. I already need to go back there to get some more paint!

Helpful paint guys w/quality products. They went out of their way to order something for me, &(gasp) called when it was in. I’m not a professional painter, but find my way in there every few months. It’s where I go when looking for paint for my house. If you’ve been here before, they are now 2 blocks west of the Kennedy on Irving instead of just East as they used to be.

This place is the BEST !! The service is wonderful and the prices can’t be beat. Forget about Home Depot where you have to wait around for 20 minutes just to get an employees attention and then wait another ten for the right employee for that department. The guys here are always eager to help you out and the paint selection is awesome. Don’t even think of going somewhere else. They even have parking conveniently located around the corner.

I would not call this an art supply store, but a home repair/hardware store. As a previous reviewer said, it is the sort of place where you would expect to find — and will find — professional painters and contractors hanging around the counter, waiting for their paints to be mixed. The guy working the counter there on a recent Saturday was very helpful and patient with me as I asked many questions about brushes and technique. He even gave me the«contractor» discount, which he may do for all the folks to make us feel special, but I certainly appreciated it a bit of a break on my Benjamin Moore paint anyway.

Very much the sort of place where you’ll find professional painters hanging around the counter waiting for their orders early in the morning. They have an extensive stock of paints, supplies, wallpapers and other items you’d need for decorating, and they’re friendly and laid back. What more could you ask?

Great place to get your paint and supplies. Its a huge store and they carry so many different brands and colors. And if you can’t find the color you need, they will mix one for you. Its a great place with good service.
