I went to see Dr. Fajardo for a wellness check in January to make sure I’m good and ready for TTC. He was friendly, patient, and addressed all of my concerns and questions. He did not rush me and further explained how he would follow-​up with my fiancé and I during each visit and would try his best to be there when delivery time comes. He made me feel assured and positive about my plans. It was easy and comfortable to speak with him. The office is very clean and modern. When I first walked in there was low lighting in the reception area and the exam rooms were also dim. This was a nice ambience to the office. The medical assistant, Daisy, was also very friendly along with the two girls at the front reception area.
I’m glad I found my new OB/​GYN here in Chicago. The reason why I chose Dr. Fajardo was because of all of the positive reviews on Unilocal.I had a list of providers I was going to see if it didn’t work out and I’m glad I don’t have to search any further. I hope to continue to receive great care from Dr. Fajardo and his staff at For Women Ltd.

Where to start? I actually visited Dr. Fajardo’s practice when I found out I was pregnant over a year ago (because of the great Unilocal reviews). After our initial visit, my husband and I knew the search was over. Both Dr. Fajardo, Brooke (Nurse Practitioner) and his staff are incredibly competent, personable, fun and treat you like family. I loved that I would see the same doctor through my pregnancy and delivery (you can’t count on that in big practices). Scheduling appointments is always a breeze and overall they’re very prompt. Lots of positive things to say, but I would prioritize the two following:
Great Delivery: My delivery was a very positive experience — despite being 9 days late with a sunny-​side up baby, Dr. Fajardo didn’t pressure me to get induced. Even though I ended up choosing to get induced, I had a beautiful delivery experience. Dr. Fajardo checked-​in during my labor, was there for the majority of pushing (apparently, not typical) and let me pull my little guy out (the most amazing experience). He spent time with us post-​delivery and checked in the following day — excellent bedside manner!
Great Communication: accessibility/​communication is a huge benefit of private practice and a doctor who cares for his patients. As this was my first pregnancy, I had lots of questions — Dr. Fajardo personally responded to all of them, typically same day. When I got sick after I delivered, he checked in around the clock to make sure I was making progress.
Great doctor — great team — great experience!

I had a really great experience at For Women. The office staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating (which is really refreshing after having such an awful experience with my prior Gynecologist). The office space is really nice also, especially the bathroom. I really appreciated that they were flexible enough to get me an appointment so quickly.
I didn’t meet with Dr. Fajardo, I met with the nurse practitioner, Brooke, who was wonderful. She took the time to actually sit down and talk to me, rather than just rushing through my annual exam. She answered every question I had, and never made me feel like I was wasting her time. I really liked that she gave me options, did not force me to make any decision right away.
I also really like that they have an online portal, which makes making appointments and requesting refills really easy.

I have not had the chance to meet Dr. Fajardo yet but his nurse practitioner, Brook, his nurse and the receptionist Angie were fantastic! This was my first visit to an OB/​GYN office ever and they really made the experience as comfortable as I would imagine it could be. Their online portal makes it a breeze to make appointments, check lab results, and keep in contact with the office. I’m very glad I did my research and hope to keep this fantastic relationship which is hard to find sometimes in medical offices.

I am a new patient of Dr. Fajardo and had my first visit last week. After having several lousy OB/​GYNs in the past, I was looking for a new doctor. I cam across this place through ZocDoc as it had fantastic reviews. I was not able to see Dr. Fajardo as he was out of the office. Instead, I saw Brooke, the Nurse Practitioner in the office. She was fantastic. I have serious «White Coat Syndrome», so I was unbelievably stressed and anxious for my visit. Brooke was extremely friendly, thorough, and made the whole process and comfortable as possible. I don’t think I have ever felt so comfortable during a visit to the «lady doctor».
In addition to the phenomenal care I received from Brooke, the ENTIRE staff as the office was beyond friendly. Angie, the front office coordinator could not have been more pleasant. And, Dr. Fajardo’s nurse (I wish I could remember her name!!!) was one of the easiest people to talk to and from the beginning made me feel much more at ease given my anxiety.
This office knows how to make you a priority and does not fall short in patient care. Highly, highly recommended!

Dr. Fajardo, his assistant, the nurse and the receptionist Angie were soooooo nice. They really made what is normally an uncomfortable experience very relaxing and comfortable. I was looking for a new doctor after moving from DC to Chicago and I definitely believe I found mine. This office and staff is so professional and they stay in constant contact with you making sure you get the best out of your visit.

I feel super beyond happy to have found Dr. Fajardo … I recently started my Dr. Visits AND let me just start by the office it is SUPER clean i have had many experiences where the offices are not clean and make you feel uncomfortable NOT this one I felt beyond comfortable from the minute i walked in, and he is super clear at explaining things making sure you understand everything. Not only is he patient, kind he is on point with his patients. I recently had a concern about my early pregnancy and he got back to me in a matter of minutes answering my questions and making me feel comfortable… I can safely say i am happy that i finally found a great Dr. that can help me throughout my pregnancy and help me deliver a healthy baby. I definitely RECOMMEND.

I feel like we really lucked out when we chose Doctor Fajardo for our OBGYN. He and his staff are so kind, down to earth and clear. He doesn’t make my first time mom worries seem dismissible but at the same time is really GREAT at calming my inevitable fears. It’s a perfect balance!

Dr. Fajardo and his entire team were kind and professional. I never felt rushed and Dr. Fajardo provided plenty of time to answer my questions. He provided care that was thorough and always told me what he was going to do prior to doing it and then talked me through what he was doing as he was doing it– this is a quality I really appreciate in care providers. The care was top notch from start to finish!

I’ve worked with Dr. Fajardo as both a doula, and now as a pregnant patient. Dr. Fajardo is kind, patient, open minded, extremely knowledgeable, and he follows evidence based practices. I can’t recommend him enough. If you’re looking for a provider who will respect you, will give you care that reflects the evidence, and who cares about how you’d like to give birth, Dr. Fajardo is your guy.

Dr. Fajardo and his office staff offer a very unique and personalized level of care. When you first walk through his door, you realize you are not in a typical doctor’s office. I would recommend Dr Fajardo to every woman out there looking for an intelligent, caring, empathetic and excellent doctor. I have been to many different doctors and the type of care that Dr Fajardo and his staff provide is exceptionally rare. It has changed the way I look at medicine and medical care.
Lorena is the office manager and always greeted me with a smile. She genuinely cares about you and is very responsive to requests and questions. Daisy assists during your actual appointments. She is kind and always put me at ease. It is so nice to go to an OBGYN where you always interact with the same small team of professionals. There is no rotating between different doctors and nurses. Knowing that Dr Fajardo would be my OB throughout the entire pregnancy and my delivery was such a comforting feeling.
Dr Fajardo values his patient’s opinions, concerns and questions. I always felt empowered and positive about my pregnancy and birth choices. I found Dr Fajardo after reaching out to several doctors about my desire to have a VBAC. Dr. Fajardo was supportive from day one and invited my husband and me into his office for an in-​depth consultation. After we left his office, I knew right away that he was the best doctor for me and our baby. Dr Fajardo was always available throughout my pregnancy if I had questions, worries or concerns. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and confident about your pregnancy, the baby and the delivery.
My actual delivery was exceptional! It wasn’t easy, but I was able to have a successful and healthy VBAC with the amazing support of Dr. Fajardo, the nurses at Prentice and our doula. The birth was such a collaborative process and we all worked tirelessly to try different positions to help move the baby down and deliver vaginally. When other doctors may have given up on me, Dr. Fajardo kept encouraging me and gave me the confidence I needed to deliver the baby. I never had to worry about my personal health or the health of the baby because it was clear he was constantly monitoring us while also giving me the space and time I needed to deliver the baby. He is an excellent communicator and offered wonderful enthusiasm, guidance and instructions throughout the labor and delivery.
Dr Fajardo’s care didn’t end with the delivery of my baby. He visited us twice while I was in the hospital and took the time to sit down and talk with me and my husband. During these visits it was very clear why he does what he does. It is for these amazing moments when he gets to meet the new little life that he helped bring into this world and see the happiness of the parents as they embrace their little ones. I am looking forward to my next pregnancy knowing that Dr. Fajardo will be caring for me and the baby.

Dr. Fajardo is, by far, the best doctor I’ve ever had. He is open, honest, funny and the level of personalized care he offers his patients is outstanding. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I felt fully supported by Dr. Fajardo and his amazing staff. Be it office visits, emails or phone calls, Dr. Fajardo is incredibly responsive, informative, professional and timely. Appointments were very easy to schedule/​reschedule with Lorena, and are always on time. I was nervous about my delivery, but Dr. Fajardo assured me he would be there, and he was. He personally followed up with us later that day, as well as a few days later before we were discharged from the hospital. A doctor that makes you feel like you are his only patient deserves an A+ in my book!
I am so happy I found this practice and am very quick to recommend Dr. Fajardo to anyone considering a new OBGYN.

As this is an office downtown, I fully expected a super long wait for my appointment — but we started right on time! I had to return for a followup procedure and, again, we started at my scheduled time! This is so important as I run my own practice and like to be able to work before and after my own appointments.
Dr. Fajardo was so welcoming. I always feel weird talking about my reproductive organs and, of course, having someone peer down there but Dr. Fajardo and his assistant, Daisy, made me feel right at ease! The doctor gave me very thorough details on my situation and allowed me to participate in the decision about my care. I wouldn’t have it any other way! It was pure chance that I happened to see him as my other doctor was suddenly ill but I’m so happy that I did!

I made an appointment online and was very satisfied that it wasn’t a long wait until the next available appointment. As we are leaving to come to the office, my phone rings and its someone from the doctor’s office wondering if I plan to keep my appt. I said, I was and she said” there’s a big rain storm coming”. I said, «should I not come in? «. She said, «yes, I am just making sure that you’re keeping your appointment «. I said, «I am on my way «. Then Maria or something close to that called me again when I was 5 minutes from the office and said she needed to cancel the appointment!!! I wonder if the staff just wanted to leave early because my appt was at 3:15 and its 4:30 now and the sun is still out.

Hands down the best OBGYN I’ve ever had.
He’s thorough, kind, genuine, and really makes an effort to explain things to his patients rather than throwing a bunch of medical terminology at you and then leaving. Dr. Fajardo makes sure to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand, and takes his time to answer any questions. He tries to deliver his patient babies unlike a lot of Doctors that say whoever is on call will deliver your baby.
His assistant Lorena, is great too. She took time to call me back for a follow up question.

From my very first interaction (after scheduling my appointment on-​line) to walking out the office-​post appointment I was thoroughly pleased. I hope to imbue all with whom I ever come in contact the same level of service Dr. Fajardo’s and his staff offer. THEY SET THE BAR HIGH!
Dr. Fajardo is a consummate professional. I agree with posts I read that influenced me to select his office– he has excellent bedside manner. I think it should be a requirement for other Docs to take lessons from him! As a doctor, of course he is knowledgeable– but he is equally capable and willing to advise a patient based upon their level of understanding… Lorena has an excellent aura and professional demeanor as well.
The office was sanitary, but not stark. Whoever thought a medical office could have a ‘sexy’ vibe (smiles). In all seriousness, the décor, ambiance, cleanliness, service were all stellar! Just entering this space and interacting with Dr. Fajardo and his staff will make you start feeling better. KUDOS!

Great experience. Lorena at the front desk is very friendly. They arrange an appointment for me at my convenience. Dr. Fajardo was really nice, friendly and patient with me. I felt comfortable talking to him. I definitely would recommend this Dr. to everyone.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Fajardo. I have referred several of my friends to him personally but thought I should Unilocal too! He is just an easy going yet direct physician. I felt like I could ask all the «crazy» questions about my pregnancy and not feel embarrassed or dismissed. When you’re having a baby for the first time sometimes the questions seem silly or worrisome but let’s face it, it’s new territory and no question should go unasked and I felt like Dr. Fajardo totally understood that and was there for me. He has an «all over» approach to pregnancy between yoga suggestions, nutritional support and of course a thoughtful birthing plan and process. Suffice to say I can’t wait until he delivers my next baby!

Dr Javier Fajardo is the best OB GYN in town!!! He is very professional and one of the nicest doctors you can find. He takes the time to talk to you about all your concerns you may have but you don’t have to wait hours to be seen to be rushed out in minutes like at my former OB GYN. Once you see him you will not want to be seen by any other. The one to one attention and care he gives you is just wonderful. He’s the greatest!!!

A fantastic solo ob/​gyn practitioner. We were looking for someone who delivers at Northwestern and not in a group practice, and thankfully we found Dr. Fajardo. He is kind, personable, patient, and totally accessible.
It is good to know there are still doctors around that have such a friendly, knowledgeable and fun vibe! His office is totally geared towards women with a spa-​like feel, awesome magazines, and even hair accessories in the bathroom! He’s the best!
