It’s common for many questions to arise when you find out you will or may lose your hair. When will I start to lose my hair? Should I purchase a wig? When? Human or Synthetic? What will it cost? Are they comfortable and easy to care for? Where do I start?

J. Crager Alternatives assists you in finding the right answers to these questions. Working with patients in Chicago for over 20 years, we specialize in helping women and men who are experiencing hair loss as a result of chemotherapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, thyroid problems or other medical disorders or treatments.

History

Established in 1981.

This business was established May 01, 1981. It began as a salon and eventually developed into a full spa/salon over the years. About 11 years ago the owner was effected by the cancer of a loved one. After seeing these things he decided to enter the wig portion of the business in order to assist people going through cancer treatments and other hair conditions such as alopecia, etc. While still maintaining his clientele he concentrates on those who lose their hair due to medical or genetic conditions. Now located in a quiet neighborhood location, ‘Old Irving Park’, he provides complementary consultations and guidance in dealing with hair loss due to these conditions. Give John a call and set up an appointment so you can be informed of all of your options.
