Every other reviewer is right. Terrible company/​people. I was insured through these guys, and my car was stolen. Filed a police report, and reported it to them. A few days later my car was recovered, and was stripped down pretty good (catalytic converter, battery, radio, etc.). They told me to bring it to one of their shops where an adjuster could look at it. After a month, they denied my claim saying there was not enough evidence that it was stolen.

WORST INSURANCE EVER!!! Didn’t pay my full claim, and then they dropped me! I wouldn’t EVER refer anyone to this company. Even my worst enemy!

I have dealt with this company only in a professional claims capacity and I can honestly say, DO NOT INSURE with this company.
The adjusters are rude and it is very difficult to obtain information or communicate with anyone.
Every single person I’ve dealt with, (which has been multiple adjusters), has given me the run-​around on legitmate claims situations.
I find it exceedingly difficult to work with this company and I cannot understand why anyone would insure anything with this company. I would not dare deal with this company unless it was my job. AND it is.

my car was totaled by their client who ran a red light. She was issued 2 tickets for her reckless driving but they STILL denied my claim! The truth is unimportant to this terrible office as long as they have any lame excuse to not honor a claim.

Outsourced to IBC from Lincoln Insurance. Scam artists. Only paid out $ 900 for a $ 2300 damage done to my car. Meaning: I paid $ 1400 out of pocket.
Isn’t insurance supposed to cover this?
Will report to BBB — hope you other reviewers did, too. On top of horrid coverage, the people working there are the most miserable people I’ve ever met in my life. Customer service acts as if you are bothering them and the Adjuster for my case called me a «F*cking B*tch».

I got broadsided while riding my bike by one of their insured. The person who hit me was responsible for my medical bills, so we began abrogation between my medical insurance company and Interstate Banker.
About two months after filing my claim, they denied it because they hadn’t been able to get a hold of their insurance holder.
I got completely screwed over. These guys need to report to the BBB and the Illinois Attorney General; there is something really fishy going on with these guys.

These people suck at life. Zero stars, really. This company has *NO* redeeming qualities whatsoever. NONE!
Completely agree with the previous two reviewers. This place is such a flipping disaster of a company! And the people who work there are all a**holes. Every single person I spoke to was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. They acted like they were doing ME a favor, when in fact I was entitled to a car repair after being rear-​ended by someone they insure.
Just to list a few appalling details of my experience:
1) They wouldn’t give me a rental car for the 4 days that my car was in the shop (insurance companies ARE required to do so by law). They ‘offered’ to pay 2 days @ $ 20/​day … I laughed and asked WHERE in Chicago one could rent a car for $ 20/​day, but she said that wasn’t their problem. I explained that legally it IS their responsibility and problem, at which point she told me they were being «generous» giving me 2 days car rental, that I was «being ridiculous» and then hung up on me!
2) During another call, I asked to speak to a manager because the person on the other end was once again pissing me off with illogical circular explanations. She proceeded to tell me that she would not transfer me to anybody and that I couldn’t speak to a manager! Um, say what? I told her I wanted to file a complaint and she snickered and said «oh yeah? to who? where are you going to complain to?» This time I recited a few choice words, and hung up on her (hey, they can’t have all the fun!).
3) Their representative, who had set up shop at the collision/​repair place to preside over all damage assessments and estimates, was a complete douche. He *grossly* underestimated the damage on my car and said I just needed a quick bumper paint-​job — he said the damage was on the lower and underside of the bumper, so couldn’t be clearly ‘seen’ … he must be blind, because my bumper taillights were broken and the lower part of my bumper was cracked and visibly dented (picture an SUV being rear-​ended by a little Civic that basically got stuck under the SUV’s bumper and had it’s entire hood folded in half).
IBC had the audacity to send me a check for around $ 200 as if it was case closed. My bumper clearly needed to be replaced (according to the repair shop, not just my own opinion) and I own a Lexus. You do the math. $ 200? I think not. In the end, I got my new bumper.
So suck it IBC, I win.
I got my car fixed at Tony’s Collision Care in Skokie and they did a GREAT job (writing a glowing review for them). So at least the actual repair part went smoothly, but everything leading up to that was an utter nightmare. I filed a complaint with the State Dept of Insurance already and am also going to report them to the BBB.
On a side note, these people made me appreciate and love my own insurance company SO much more — Geico, you’re awesome! I called Geico for advice about how to deal with the awful Interstate Bankers people and Geico *offered* to call them for me (!) to see if they could reason with them «one insurance company to another.» Apparently they were just as rude and unhelpful to the Geico rep, which just further proves what a trashy sad excuse for an insurance company this is.

I had the exact same experience. Call, once you say you would like to file a claim, the person hangs up on you. I call again, perhaps its an error. The person answers, and says immediately, I will call you back in 10minutes. Problem one, I have not given my name or number. Problem 2, Even with caller ID, after 20 mins — no call back. I cancelled that day. GARBAGE!!! PLus the people they use for repairs are exactly the same.

My husbands car was bumped from the back. I called their insurance they sent claim to fill out I sent it back and NADA. I called zillion times, each time «they tried to contact the other person with no result, called, write ect» they said same BS today, so my husband called the guy and he said“He filled out and sent back all the paperwork! And the insurance company told him to do not pick up calls from us and hae no contact!!!“

This is the worst car insurance company ever!!! Seriously, I got rear-​ended by somebody who is insured through here.
According to the person who rear-​ended me, the used car dealership where she bought her car required that she be insured through here… That would be my first warning sign.
The first time I called to follow up the representative actually hung up on me. Unfortunately, I had to call them at least 20 times since the initial call… with the exact same service as they kept «losing» the paperwork on the claim at least 5 times. They are definitely doing everything in their power to avoid payout. They keep suggesting that I should file the claim with my insurance company… Ummm… why would I have my insurance company pay for the damages rather than have them as their insured is undeniably at fault… Really shady place. RUN from them as fast as you can!!!
