We are a full service construction company that provides services encompassing virtually every aspect of construction activities. Two main divisions of construction services are: Masonry and Roofing. Considering local architecture these two trades are often interlocking, therefore Illinois Home Improvement is a Licensed Masonry and Licensed Roofing contractor in City of Chicago.

As licensed and experienced roofers, we service flat and shingle roofs. Services include new roof installation, existing roof repairs and periodic maintenance plans. We also install metal, shake and clay coping roofs.

Our Masonry Division is handled by Best Brickmasters, a subsidiary of Illinois Home Improvement. Best Brickmasters performs virtually all services related to masonry, specializing in waterproofing and restoration of masonry structures including properties located in Chicago Landmark District.

Other services include concrete, structural carpentry, siding, windows, remodeling, additions etc.

Illinois Home Improvement Corp. was founded in 1985. Over the years in the construction business IHIC has become a company that is able to fulfill various construction needs of commercial and residential customers however unique or specialized.

They did a great job with tuckpointing my house. Before the job was done, the brick wall used to absorb water and leak in the basement. It poured heavily after the job and there was not a drop of water in the basement. These guys used a high quality masonry sealant that helped water proof the wall. I highly recommend Illinois home improvement and best brick masters. Gosia, Eric and the crew are courteous and communicated well.

We are so pleased with the results. It looks great! It has been a year since this project was completed — I wanted to see how everything held up. Four other contractors assessed and quoted the project. Three quoted much lower (didn’t actually address the problem), one higher (included rebuilding the our chimney?).
First contact with Illinois Home Improvement/​Best Brickmasters was Peter Zieba. His thorough knowledge of brick building structures and Chicago bungalows in particular filled us with confidence. Peter kept in contact daily (or every other day). He was easy to to find him via email or phone — no problems. His crew worked through some of the hottest weather in Aug-​Sep 2013. In addition to their collective craftsmanship, they carefully removed and replaced our 6-​foot, flower-​filled window boxes (heavy and awkward).
Our little bungalow is the house of our dreams. We wanted the best care and restoration we could afford. Illinois Home Improvement/​Best Brickmasters provided that. Hire them for your project!

Our homeowner association has used IHIC on 2 major projects that involved repairing and replacing bricks, tuck pointing, roofing repairs and replacing gutters. Their price is always competitive, they show up on time, over communicate and always cleanup at the end of the day. We will continue to use IHIC as our go to contractor because we have been 100% satisfied with them.

Very reliable service! We had some roofing damage due to the cold weather and heavy snow this winter; they were out to our house making the appropriate repairs within 48 hours. Every call was returned within 12 – 24 hours and prices were reasonable. Very impressed with quality of work!
