He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Political Science and studied Advanced Woodworking at Western Michigan University.

Chicago Magazine has identified him as one of the city’s leading millworkers.

Under his leadership, Hylan has won a number of prestigious awards and the trust and loyalty of both professional designers and home owners in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
