Hunny/SheShe Boutiques

I can’t even make it to pick up food delivery 4 blocks away, without being side tracked by a boutique store. The store just opened and it was clearing the way for a new spring line, so the 50−75% off sale called me in. The only thing I was searching for was light blue denim jeans, and a pair of Seven jeans caught my eye. I am a sucker for soft denim fabric, and pass up on anything that has a starch-​like feel or quality to it. It’s the next best thing to stretch pants without looking like it. Anyways, they were a tad too long, but with a price tag sticker of $ 172 and 75% off, I couldn’t pass up $ 50 Seven jeans. The items would be pricey if there wasn’t this sale, but there was. They carry J Brand jeans as well. There are some cute bags and accessories worth browsing at. The sales people were friendly and let me stay in a bit longer to protect myself from the onslaught of hail and rain.

While I typically avoid boutiques due to a deep-​seated fear of the pricetags lurking within, tonight Hunny/​SheShe was having a special sales event where they are open until midnight and have free pink cocktails for all patrons. Free cocktails? In I go.
The sale extended to nearly every item in the store, and there were several brands I like (notably Seven jeans) but overall, the selection just seemed so lacking. Perhaps the mega-​sale is to make way for the new spring line? I’m just not sure I’ll even be back to check…
The thing that jumped out the most was that even on sale most of the clothing seemed over-​priced. Now that I know I can get crazy deals mere blocks from here (thanks, Unilocal!) I just can’t fathom paying these prices.

Two companies, «Hunny Jewelry Boutique» and «SheShe Clothing Boutique» came together to open this store. Hunny brings us jewelry (one of my favorites is Lulu Frost) and other accessories, while Sheshe features clothing (like dresses by velvet!).
Pricewise, they range from moderate to pricey ($$- $$$!), and they have a seamstress on-​site to make alterations on the spot!
