Established in 2009.

The roots come from University of Illinois at Chicago Karate Club — the oldest Japan Karate Association club that exists today in the Midwest, established in 1995. Instructor Tony Nakamura and other black belts opened the retail school to make the training available to the general public.

Japan Karate Association from Japan is the very roots of Shotokan Karate throughout the world, and we are maintain the highest standard of JKA Karate.

Business Owner

Tony Nakamura is the owner and instructor of the Hu Shin Kai Karate school. He has been training for over 25 years, and he has been the member of US Team and US Team candidate over 17 years of it. A prestigious 5th degree black belt from JKA, Tokyo, Japan, as well as certified instructor, judge, and examiner, he is dedicated to pass on traditional Japan Karate Association Shotokan Karate in a traditional way. As an instructor who started training as a child, he is dedicated to training wide range of age groups from children to seniors.
