Established in 1888.

Henry Frerk Sons, Inc. officially opened for business in 1873 on Milwaukee Ave. (Chicago) and functioned as a general store. We moved to our current location in 1888 and began selling lumber, plaster, concrete and masonry materials. We continue to be one of Chicago’s leading concrete, masonry and plaster distributors with a focus on historic restoration methods and materials. We currently stock one of the most extensive lines of historic masonry mortars in the country and offer mortar matching services. We also run a ready mix concrete division that specializes in latex modified concrete deck overlays and extremely rapid hardening concrete for emergency repairs. We thrive on supplying complex projects with unique materials and take pride in our problem solving abilities. We look forward to assisting with your next construction project!

Business Owner

I am a fifth generation «Frerk» family member to oversee Henry Frerk Sons, Inc. I have a degree in business management and background in historic preservation. Our in house restoration consulting team consists of Elisabeth Logman who is a historic preservation graduate from The Art Institute of Chicago and Simon Leverett who is an English trained master stone mason with 35 years experience in the masonry restoration field.
