I went here based on the recommendation of my well-traveled father when I was in town. He said that they have the best burger he’s ever had! So naturally I had to see for myself, and indeed they do. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat in the bar, were seated immediately and were served within ten minutes. I had the spicy burger with jalapeño and chipotle aoli, sweet potato fries and the bacon Mac & cheese –you will NOT be disappointed. They also offered to box up our leftovers!

Great atmosphere and very beautiful place. Bartenders could be a little professional when it comes to service. Two drinks were $ 14, which is acceptable, but when I hand a $ 20 you cannot assume the rest is your tip. Giving a good tip is a priority of mine but not at almost 50%

The food was excellent, and so was our server. Despite seeming like he was new, he did a great job. The atmosphere was very cool as well. However, the manager was a complete jerk and a thief. He also had an unkempt appearance, as his shirt was untucked and his pants looked like they were falling off. He treated my pregnant wife very poorly, yelling at her and telling her we had to go find our server to pay our bill and buy something from the gift shop. Customer service is dead here. A manager especially should never yell at a customer and make them track down their server. The manager should take care of the customers. Lastly, we paid with a gift card and the manager under used the gift card and attempted to take the balance. He should be fired.

Food was good, no complaints yet nothing to write home about. Drink prices were reasonable. Enjoyed watching the game while the rest of the family shopped. Would come back for the atmosphere, friendly service when in need of a break from shopping.

We stopped in here to kill some time after shopping in the building and were skeptical after reading some reviews. We ordered the turkey burger and the heater. We were pleasantly surprised how well everything was made. The burgers were a good size and very tasty, as were the French fries. The service was slightly lacking but everyone was friendly. Bottom line is a good place for a quick bite and a free ticket to the Harry Carey museum attached

Burger was great, Harry’s sauce, let’s say we can mix our own ketchup, mustard, an mayo… Service was little slow for only 6 tables being set at. dynamite shrimp had its fuse put out(not worth the waste of calories)

I’m going to leave ab3/5 review because food was ok but not anything special or unique. Our waitress was super nice but our appetizer came with outlet main meal at the same time and we waited forever for w Togo box. The place is just OK in service and quality…

awesome fried pickles and drinks! We loved the museum which was free entrance if you grab drinks there. We loved the museum. It was fun with lots of interactive things to do from batting baseball, shooting basketball, blocking hockey goals, and throwing football.

Top of the World… well top of the mall place its located in, at least This place is super solid! Really good beer on tap! The house brew is a blonde hoppy ale. At first didn’t sound too good but good thing i tried it. It was a good surprise! They also have a flight of beer where u can see the subtle difference in the similar beers. Who knew an American pale ale wasnt the same as an ipa. Education at its finest. The food was soooo good as well! The burger, wings and the carrot cake cupcakes! The cupcakes were sooo bombola! Super moiste and they had some kind of crystlized caramilized carrots on top, not sure what the term is for them. The ambiance is also super chill and unpretentious. Plus u get a free entrance to the sports museum. I wish Harry carey was still around, he seemed like a great guy!

The food was greasy, the costs were way over the top(even for Chicago), and the door staff seems out of touch with reality. My wife and I shared a ‘double play’ pizza that was dripping with grease, had very few ingredients, and in no way demonstrated double of anything except grease. We also ordered the Calamari, it was very rubbery, not cooked well, and ultimately was just poor. To add to the magic of the visit the background music is so loud that even sitting shoulder to shoulder with someone will not guarantee they will hear you. The highlight of the visit was that the waitress was friendly and we never ran out of water. Beyond that I have nothing good to say about this location.

Great atmosphere for watching Sunday football although it did take an hour to get one of the games up we wanted to watch up in one of the TV’s but they did seem to genuinely trying. They just could’t figure out which TV was which. The spinach and artichoke dip and maple mustard salmon are excellent. The Thai chicken flatbread and short rib Mac and cheese were pretty good, as was the Chinese chicken salad. The sports museum is also quite entertaining. You can see and step into Shaq’s shoes among many other fascinating sports facts and memorabilia, as well as fun interactive games. Highly recommend: spinach and artichoke dip, maple mustard salmon.

If you happen to be on floors 6 – 8 of the Water Tower, you might have lunch or dinner here. This place(on floor 7) serves decent comfort food with(in my experience) very pleasant service, once you get seated – the host was a thin, zombie-like guy, unwelcoming in the extreme, who didn’t speak a single word as he trekked to the table. The waitress, by contrast, was truly friendly and efficient, and someone, the manager I think, was pretty much on the floor at all times checking things out. Food & beverage were decent. I had a well-made martini with 2 cheesy olives, then quite tasty tomato bisque. My main was a plate of turkey meatloaf, whipped potatoes & asparagus that brought back memories of blue-plate specials of yore(at today’s elevated prices, however). I just can’t give very high marks to a sports-themed place, especially one that decorates the walls with sports gear. Not the sort of person that likes to have dinner in a room decorated with used baseball uniforms. Sorry. Still, if trapped in the Water Tower’s upper reaches, you could do worse than eating here(Mity Nice Grill anyone?).

Went here only bc I had family visiting from out of town & heard that you get free admission to the Chicago Sports Museum if you dine at Harry Caray’s. This is definitely a restaurant that is geared for tourists. While the food was decent, the service was lacking. The restaurant is fairly new, but they definitely need some better training for the staff because service is very slow. We came here on a Monday and still waited almost 45 minutes for our orders to come out and the staff weren’t very apologetic about it. If you’re an out of towner, it’s an easy spot to dine since its located in the Water Tower, other than that. probably will not be back!

This is sorta like a crossing between a sports bar and a hard rock café. But opposite to HRC the food here is superb. I went with an italien beef sandwich and my wife had a burger. Both were extrzmzly tasty. The ambience of this place is also very cool and we found the museum part to be neat.

To start, our group had to convince both the concierge at the hotel AND the taxi driver that this place existed. I don’t know how long 7th Inning Stretch has been open, but both people wanted to take us to the original Harry Caray’s and acted like we were mad, mad I tell you, for thinking that there was anything at the address we repeatedly gave them. Nevertheless. It was a quiet night, even for a weekend. Paralympic hockey was on several of the many televisions if that gives you an idea of the big games that would draw people into a sports bar. I have nothing against paralympic hockey and actually found it entertaining, but I can’t see it being a big audience draw. With many tables open, there was little excuse for poor service and the service was, frankly, adequate. Our server was fairly new(he admitted) but kept drinks filled despite some lengthy waits for our wine-drinking accomplices. Food was good. High-end sports bar food. The Holy Cow burger was very tasty. Dynamite shrimp app was meh, but I ate about half of it by myself since no one else was touching it and I’m kind of compulsive with food. Nachos were not that great. Spinach artichoke dip was good, but didn’t have enough chips. The large, wood-adorned room is dark and cozy. It gave a good feel with several different levels and eating areas so it doesn’t feel too open. Finally, there is a sports museum attached and is apparently free if you buy food or a drink. I didn’t go in there, but it looked nice. Overall, I’m glad we didn’t listen to guys telling us that this place doesn’t exist.

We stopped over for dinner with friends and everything was just so-so… Décor: It has the look and feel of a sports bar, which is totally cool. There are plenty of TVs and lots of sports memorabilia to take in. The lighting is a bit on the dark side and if you happen to sit at a seat that happens to be in direct shot of one of the little spotlights you’ll be blinded(as my friend was). This place is pretty large though, and they could easily accommodate any size group. Bathroom: Pretty typical, nothing special. Staff: Our waitress was fine. Nothing spectacular and not really that memorable. Food: To start, we all had beers. But we all went our separate ways when it came to ordering, some had burgers, others had salads, but we had the Shrimp Tacos. Now, we like spicy food so we were very enticed by the Dynamite Shrimp Tacos, however they just were not that spicy or even that flavorful. The portion size was pretty typical, so that was fine, I just wouldn’t get these again. Value: There is a bit of a premium placed on the name and the location, which is expected, so expect to pay a bit more. However, the prices are not outrageous. All-in-all we didn’t feel like we didn’t get our money’s worth, just perhaps overpaid a tad given the sub-par food/service. This place is just«fine», that’s it. There isn’t anything special and I’ll be trying many other places before returning. However, if you’re in a pinch and want to catch a game, you’ll be set here.

Nice bar joint in The Water Tower Place. Stopped in for a libation during our shopping excursion. If you go and do not get the ‘Not Your Father’s Root Beer’ then you are missing out! The beer is a 10oz pour with 10%abv for only $ 8.00! It is a locally brewed beer that is delicious to the tongue. Based on this, I would be interested in what the rest of their food and drinks are like. For the experience our bartender was good, very friendly and also changed the tv to the Royals game for us out-of-towners!
