Hair by Ava

Ava is the woman who first chemically straightened my hair. And that was 8 year ago. I have been going to her exclusively since. My hair used to be very tight think Solange when her hair is natural. Since I have been going to her I have done one big chop, a longer than average bob, and other than that my hair has stayed maybe three inches longer than shoulder length. A perm from her is awesome, it lasts me about a week and a half to two weeks without a wash. Deep conditions last about a week and a half.
She is very practical, and stays focussed on your hair heath. I am a swimmer, and while I was swimming she refused to color my hair, which in hindsight was a smart decision. I even traveled abroad for twelve months and came back with my hair in shambles. She helped me nurse it back to health.
As for her ability as a stylist she can do it all. I have gotten curling iron curls, flat iron curls, a curl set, a french twist, a set that gave my hair supper volume, had my hair dyed red, been given a gold gloss, and even some quick french braids on a very wet day when it made no sense to flat iron. My preference is bone straight with almost no volume, I have thick hair that snarls at the ends and she gets it right every time. It looks like I have no split ends, and my hair feels full and moves like liquid for at least a week.
