OMG! After all these years later I can write about my experience at Gucci on Michigan Avenue, YEA! I was about 17 or 18 let’s say a full fledged teen:) Tom Ford had come out in a Powerful way being the Handsome man He Is! He designed this Halston Revival collection and had a South African Model Georgina (I believe) She was magnificent. Remember those white Jersey dresses with the hole on the side and those golden platform shoes? I loved VOGUE & Fashion so much back in the day. The best designers were coming up Galliano, McQueen and everything was so Artistic. So hey, why not visit the GUCCI store. Walking in I was a little nervous, it was Gucci! Let me add I’m not GHETTO or Low Class and never have been. I am Ms. Manners, and very Respectful in every-​way, unless you need a good lash. Walking in… an unattractive short stock Bumble Bee Body shaped of a woman. Who resembled an Ashkenazi Jew just gave me a look like (Bitch) Hint* JEALOUSY. I walked thru the tiny boutique (at that time) I have no idea if it expanded. It doesn’t matter. I will never set foot in there again. This Low life just watched me intently and there were a few people there. She looked at me like Nigger you can’t afford anything. It’s hilarious how many rich kids deliberate dress poor. I remember I had on small checker board pants and nice top and flats. There was nothing poor about me. *even though I grew up working class. I ignored her. Experiencing this behavior quite often in N. W Indiana. I searched and behold there they were! My love at last, let me just behold your BEAUTY! The long Ivory ankle length jersey dresses that were tangled on the rack, not covered in plastics or any type of covering with a price tag of 1200.00. She looked at me approaching. with child like deformed size 5 feet and legs that never stretched beyond puberty. Her eyes close together and slightly crossed and hair Nappy Red and tightly curled. At the time I should have suggested a Relaxer or Perm to straighten those naps. Maybe it would have helped her Snotty Jealous Hearted mentality. I made sure I didn’t touch the dresses. I didn’t want my little Field hands getting the Ashkenazi dresses filthy:) She just came by me and stood… Also there was a black man there but you could tell he was a Black Hispanic type (maybe from Dominican Republic Panama, Puerto Rico. He had attempted an S Curl and dyed his hair. The dye was melting and seeping on his face almost touching his Broad Nostrils:) So I went toward the back and these exquisite Peacock Purses were standing there in total perfection. A beautiful young Blonde asked if, «I needed any help?» and I graciously replied, «No Thanks Just Looking.» I will never forget her beauty and skill with just one line, her energy. I hope she is doing well in life. I had a beautiful friend with me and we both talked about the incident and were baffled. All these years later I became a designer and am doing great things and will never forget the treatment of this Ugly Little Deformed woman (If she had a Vagina?) and the stuck up glances of the Negro (pronounce it in a Spanish dialect. I had a bad experience in Saks Fifth Avenue, and I’ve never been back there either. Every restaurant and store I’ve visited in Chicago has always been world class. Gucci and the 5^th Avenue store won’t have to worry about me every setting foot in their premises again. I even try to avoid eye contact if I’m passing the location. Gucci: Your Life Lesson to ME? Treat People the Way You Wish to be Treated! I Forgive You BIATCHES… Pronounced Bee atch Ess:)

The worst customer service ever. Lost my purse for 3 months wouldn’t return my calls regarding my repair. I will never purchase Gucci again due to this location.. Then when I get there they look for the bag again for 20 min. I call ahead before I even head to them to make sure they have everything in order and open for business (Saturday 12−6pm)it was –4° that day so I was pissed. Then I get there all the employees are doing a whole bunch of S!%$.Nun at all but they never answer the phone… called for the lady in repair for a month without a return call. .Thanks to the Michigan Ave location rubbing me the wrong way I will no longer purchase Gucci ever again. EVER!!! Thanks Mag Miles location for the panic attack and not caring about SIMPLY returning a simple phone call.

Pleasant experience at this store my sales associate was great and very helpful with recommendations and sizing. The Mens collection seems limited compared to other Gucci stores that I have shopped at but what they do have on display all my sizing was available.
I will probably come back here when I’m not looking for anything in particular.

I came into this store to buy a perfume for a friend whose birthday is coming up. Gucci made an amazing woman’s fragrance called «Accenti» back in the 90’s and it was amazing. It was a beautiful mellow fruity floral woman’s scent. My friend has been wearing it for years, and had a few bottles on reserve.
I came into this store, and the staff was pretty courteous and friendly They have a wide variety of accessories, belts, purses, and scarves. it seems as if Gucci is more of an accessories store, rather than a clothing store.
Sadly, their famous perfume «Accenti» has been discontinued :(
This store is A ok and the staff members were helpful, but I hope the people in Gucci corporate bring back this amazing perfume.

I have shopped at Gucci in Chicago for years, but have come to believe that the staff is acting less professional and younger, less knowledgeable than ever before. I recently had an odd customer service/​return experience that has made me lose my loyalty to the store. I will shop Gucci at department stores or online in the future.

I just can’t say enough about how terrific my experience was at this store. I came here today after work to purchase a new wallet. The sales people were incredibly helpful with trying to provide me with different options. This store gets really busy after work around 3 PM. The little details like taking time to wrap my item with all the smiles left me feeling very pampered. Yes, prices were a little high but expected I expected this in the Gold Coast. Now I have the perfect accessory for my purse.

I love Gucci and still wish Tom Ford was head designer, but he’s moved onto his own successful brand. I’ve always received top notch service here from Alina and another gentleman whose name I don’t recall. Both have superb taste, are very attentive, friendly, and most helpful. The service received is exactly what I expect from a luxury brand like Gucci. On my last visit, Alina helped select a gorgeous leather shoulder bag for my mother’s birthday. Besides its Paris location, this is my favorite Gucci store which always has the most current merchandise in stock. For those who complain about encountering a lack of service, Gucci has plenty of «shoppers» who browse without the intent to purchase. Similar to people who attend real estate open houses and can’t afford to buy. And I’ve watched these «shoppers» walk through the door looking like something the cat dragged in. Therefore, one can’t blame the salespeople for not throwing themselves at every single person who walks into the store. As a shopper, I prefer to have some private time to contemplate the merchandise.

This store is wonderful But what makes it very special are the sales people and in particular Tracy Lee Cohen. I have been shopping there for several years and since the day I’ve met her, she’s been a wonderful stylist. She knows the product like no one else. She’s always up to date on all the latest Gucci lines and trends.
Tracy is always aware of things that I might enjoy and need and she’s incredibly responsive to my needs.
One time, I was out of town and my luggage was lost and I need to look sharp very fast. She contacted a nearby store and was able to locate items that I needed and had them delivered to my hotel room. Its really nice to know people care…
If you go to the store make sure you ask for her. She will be incredibly helpful, you will learn a lot and definitely you will not go wrong with her suggestions.

This store is terrific with gorgeous merchandise. Ask for Tracy Cohen. She is easy to work with, follows up, and is attentive and helpful. Her taste level is excellent and she gives u the service u wd expect from Gucci.

This store has a great selection & always has what I want in stock. Everyone is very friendly, especially John P. He is THE BEST and so helpful and so cute. Besides Las Vegas, this is my favorite Gucci store.

What can I say but its Gucci, you can’t go wrong. Just broke!

Wow, horrible customer service! I came in with a friend of mine (both mid twenties an dressed for work) to buy a present for my boyfriend and was completely ignored by two different sales people. We were looking at different things but he really wanted a wallet. We were looking at the case for a few minutes and they just stood and ignored us the entire time! Not a hello or goodbye. Excuse me! My money is the same as anyone else’s. I was really offended and irritated. We walked over to Bloomingdales and were helped by a great sales woman who took time to show us 5 different Gucci wallets. Thank you to Bloomingdales, tip go there and actually be treated with respect. I felt good about spending my hard earned money there. I refuse to go to this (flagship) Gucci store again, it was an embarrassment, they just pretend that you are not even there!

Went to this store on a Sunday, and had a great time. There were 2 sales people that helped us and they were very friendly and attentive. The guy that helped us explained everything about the bag I got and different ways to wear it and about the leather. We weren’t dressed very well either just jeans sneakers and sweatshirt. So I doubt appearance is that much of factor.

Gone to this store a couple times, gotta say they have the worst sales people I’ve ever came accross in any designer store. One male staff walked pass by me and actually bumped into me, I turned around to look, and he turnes around and looked at me then without apologizing he walked away. Appearently to the staff there they decided wether your good enough to be there or not. But oh does the attitude change 180 degrees when u say the magic words «I’d like to buy this». Interesting how it goes from everyone pretending I dont exist to everyone wanna help me with checking out. Honestly I’d give it a NEGTIVE 5 stars if I could. Yea never seen this kinda horriable attitude in any other store of Gucci or any other brand in that matter.
So unless you want to get all dressed up for them to even act like ur in the store or just get looked down on by their sales for no good reason. I suggest you go to another brand oin downtown Chicago or just another Gucci brand. Even people at Hermes are more polite then them. Seriously dont know what is wrong with sales at this Gucci store.

Gucci Gucci ! I love you but you need to get better sales people ! I visited them last Tuesday and I wanted to buy shoes. I went inside and this creepy security guy looked at me like he wanted to say something but did not open he’s mouth at all. I asked him to help me to find some shoes that I like it in rude way he informed me he wasn’t sales person and told me to go and look for one … So I did I asked this one Asian guy to help me first question he asked me was if anyone was helping me before? Wtf then when I showed him shoes that I like he said those are fake gucci and we do not have them here I asked him if they have anything similar to this and was told in super ignorant way I can look at the outlet and was left … Well all I have to say I won’t ever go to this location I’m not going to spend $ 700 with some rude stupid sales person ! I will make sure to email their corporate office as well … Totally lack of customer service ! Come on this is not target or Walmart !

I was looking for a particular product and I am appalled by the experience that a woman with curly brown hair gave me.
When I inquired if she had suggestions about where I could find the product or if they had another at a different flagship store, (this is something a well informed brand ambassador would know), she simply stated «oh maybe you can find one on a website not endorsed by our company» i. e a knockoff.
I was so surprised by that statement and kind of in shock. First that a luxury goods ambassador would promote counterfeit items and second, I was insulted that she implied that I buy knockoffs. (I took trademark law and I am informed about NAFTA and the detrimental nature of knockoffs).
Finally I asked if she had interlocking heart wallets, and she simply pointed her finger at some keychains and scoffed, before walking away.
When I asked if the employee behind her, or anyone else working with her would know if they had the product, she asserted «that man is security, he would not know», as if her word was final.
Duly disappointed at the lack of professionalism by this employee at this establishment. I expected much better from this high-​end store.

I love coming to this Gucci location!
Service– Out of this world fantastic, I can’t even explain how well they take care of me here. Tracy helped me find everything I was looking for. She not once stopped to answer a phone or help another customer, she was dedicated to making sure all my needs were met.
Products– It’s Gucci so we all know I don’t have to go into why their brand is still around, we all know the quality is there. Tracy was polite enough to show me several scarfs that were not yet on the selling floor, I was able to order 2 before they even hit the shelves.
Side note– I did enjoy watching the manager usher out two classless women who were bragging about how their fake handbags, and *somehow* trying to compare them to the real bags.

Great service, helpful and not pushy, clearly passionate about their wares. This flagship store has a solid selection, best outside of LV and NYC boutiques.

Who knew one little baby needed so much stuff? You may be wondering why I’m reviewing Gucci and talking about babies, but of course I’m going to need a fabulous purse (um, I mean diaper bag) to carry all that «baby stuff» in.
My mom and I were showed the small selection (2 to be exact) of diaper bags by the very helpful Miguel. Miguel showed us all the departments in the bag for bottles, diapers, toys, the changing pad (genius) and even showed us how it snaps right onto the stroller. Nice! He was pretty confident this was the best diaper bag out there, although did suggest we check out a few bags as well across the street at Louis Vuitton. We appreciated that he wasn’t overly pushy.
These can be pretty pricey (especially for diaper bags), but figure I may as well splurge on a «purse» I really like if I’m going to be carrying it around day after day for several years. I’m still deciding between this and the Burberry, which is slightly bigger and less expensive, but figured I can’t go wrong with either one.
Oh, and if you’re without child they obviously have many more awesome purses to choose from here. And I’ve seen pretty fabulous sales on ties for all the male Unilocalers out there!

Gucci, you melt my heart.
A fantastic boutique for that «I just dropped rent in here» rare splurge. Granted, this Gucci location is not the NYC 5^th Ave. flagship, still the Mag Mile store flaunts an expansive selection of shoes, bags, sunglasses, belts, jewelry, and of course, ready-​to-​wear… must I go on? I adore their Fall/​Winter 2008 collection which is full of Bohemian and tribal-​inspired pieces (wish.I.could.afford. SIGH.). Last year I purchased a classic bronze-​detailed hobo bag from the 2007 Cruise collection and I still rock it, passé or not! Service here is hit or miss, but usually friendly and accommodating.
