I was visiting Chicago for work and had an accident that required the assistance of a highly trained dentist.
I asked my friends that live in Chicago, in the Gold Coast area, for a good recommendation. Hands down, they all said that Dr. Bell is the best of the best.
His office staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Bell has AMAZING bedside manner and takes time to listen to your concerns thoroughly, make recommendations on what’s best for you and does the work to perfection. Best of all, he does NOT over-​diagnose, meaning that he won’t tell you to get work that you don’t need (unlike other dentists that I’ve been to in the past).
Definitely a great experience from beginning to end.

Dr. Bell has been sanctioned by the IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in the past. He overcharged my insurance company while I was a patient and at that point I stopped going and called the BBB and the insurance company to report him.

Dr. Bell seems very friendly and his work seems to be quality. The problem is what he charges. My advice, that I wish someone would have shared with me before my visit to Dr. Bell, is that you should request, in writing, an estimate $ for the work he is going to perform. 2 fillings cost me $ 1,230 out of pocket (after insurance!) If I had known this before he preformed the work I NEVER would have have it done.
I feel that he takes advantage of his patients and overcharges. They take you in a small room after the service and make you pay. Its so odd.
I say stay away!

I was referred to Dr. Bell by a client of mine after being disappointed with the dental work I’ve received from previous dentists. I was very impressed with my experience right from the get go. The office itself needs no introduction. The staff was amazing. They make me feel very comfortable almost making me forget that I was about to receive extensive dental work. Dr. Bell took time to listen to what I was looking to do. He offered great advice and explained the whole process. After working with him over the past several months my smile looks fantastic! My teeth look amazing and my family and friends genuinely compliment me on how wonderful they turned out. I can honestly say that if you feel uneasy about getting work done and are looking for one of the best dentists in the Chicagoland area give Dr. Bell a call.

My tooth began to hurt so I went to see him, he needed to finish the job he started on my tooth and my insurance did not cover emergency visits. He wanted 500 dollars for the visit and I said I could not pay this, the secretary came to me and said speaking in the dentist behalf for me to go to the local hospital. They did not speak to me about payment arrangements. And on top of this they went ahead and charged my insurance for services not rendered (1,800.00) and wanted me to pay the dentist this amount directly, am glad I got the bill from my insurance and see the charges. I did fix this problem after making lots of phone calls to the insurance and to this dentist office. He may talk sweet but as a dentist/​doctor does not care of the well being of the patient. He put the filling in, I felt it was his responsibility to at least see if he was at fault and fix the error, but rather said for me to go to Stroger Hospital? They never sent my x-​rays to me or my new dentist.
