Description

Specialties

One hell of a great Steaks Truck serving the greatest city in the world, Chicago! We offer the best steak, chicken, and vegetable griddle sandwiches!

Our perfectly seasoned, juicy steaks play off our REAL melted cheddar, white american or our hand-shredded provolone cheeses (your choice of cheese) and I integrate a French demi-glacé sauce. all on freshly baked bread. The bread is purchased daily and has the right crisp and the right chew to intertwine our steak, cheese, grilled yellow onions, green bell peppers, mayonnaise, romaine lettuce, roma tomatoes and a dash of oregano… this will only entice you to take another bite — before you finish your first one! Just a warning, our steak by itself is seriously addicting. The texture is mouth-watering and light. Enjoy your meal «Chicago style» for $ 1.00! Add cheese and meat to your fries and prepare to be bedazzled!

Our fries are handmade on the truck and I add FRESH herbs to it bistro-style.

Look for our yellow truck, so bright… you can probably see us from space!

History

Established in 2012.

Two restaurant guys got together with the single mission of making the most delicious fresh and tasty sandwiches and fresh fries. The name «Gino“comes from the father and mentor who taught these guys «Dah business». Sadly, one founder moved on, but the team moved forward.

You are going to love it!

Meet the Business Owner

Rafael G.

Business Owner

Hola! My friends call me Chef. 15 years in the business.

My start: I got the opportunity at a Westin Hotel in Mexico to make a variety a foods with italian, french, moroccan, mexican influences. I’ve made food for Julia Roberts. Katherine Zeta Jones ordered my steak and Antonio Banderas has enjoyed my «anti-pasta».

A few tidbits about me:

I became a chef under famous chef Renzo Melimanca in Mexico City, Mexico.

I like making contemporary fusion cuisine.

I can cut an apple to make it look like a rose or bird

Why we named it «Gino’s» Steaks?

One of the founding owner’s father (named Gino) was a well-known and appreciated Sicilian baker. We honor Gino’s legacy by having the same mentality with the meals we create on our food truck. Fresh, flavorful ingredients are the foundation to any great meal!
