Forte Knowledge

Looked into QA programs all over Chicagoland and this training is double the cost of every other on-​site QA training that I have found. When I asked them what the difference was between their training and others in their industry, they could not give me any clear answer. They said resume help, industry experience, and job placement rate, but other companies offer these things as well. In addition, I was told that the program was $ 1200 if registered before the end of the year. Then when I followed up with a recruiter 20 minutes later, I was told that the training was now $ 1700. When I mentioned the previous quote, she went back to $ 1200. When I mentioned that on their website, they offer an Early Bird Registration discount for registering 1 month before classes start, they said that they would not honor that. Look into other QA programs in Chicagoland — they are half the cost for the same training.

I am a graduate of the Manual QA course. The course itself was very interesting and educational. I had no previous experience in the field prior of taking this course and I did very well. The instructor Yemi did an amazing job explaining everything to our group and preparing us for the real world. I have been offered an internship while still enrolled in the course. Due to graduating as top of the class student I have been offered a full ride scholarship for future courses that Forte Knowledge offer (Java and Test Automation Selenium) Additionally, I was offered an internship as a TA for the next Manual QA course. I have to admit taking this course was probably one of the best choices I have ever made for my future career success. I strongly recommend Forte Knowledge to anyone who is interested in changing their career to the IT field, or expanding their knowledge.

Met in person with Forte staff to discuss their programs and see if it was a good fit for my WIA funded training. I was given WIA gold standard status meaning I qualified for FULL coverage for any class I chose to take. Forte recommended QA testing based on one of the staff’s personal friends who used their QA training to get a job after struggling with unemployment. Tried to sign up for the class but between Forte and the WIA office, just missed the application deadline by a day or two. You would think they might have been flexible? Also, the timing was not due to my lack of effort but due to laziness on both sides — WIA and Forte. Never again. I would have gone with Microtrain if I had known better. They were much more professional and have even continued to offer me advice and help since this whole fiasco took place.

I am currently taking my second class at Forte Knowledge and I’ve applied almost everything I leared from my classes. My employer has seen me thrive in my position as a QA Analyst due to what I’ve learned.
